I am getting a refund because I have not been able to get a hold of them.

The representative and I met at my house and had a good talk about my roof. I left to go back to work while he was going to do the inspection and spot repair. The next day I received a quote for a new roof, but no detailed report with photos. The quote was an outlier on the high end (total roof replacement now) from the other 3 quotes I got (which ranged from do nothing now, but plan for a new roof in 5 years to add gutters and drip edge now). I had some health problems, so only got back to the representative recently, letting him know I was disappointed about not getting the detailed report with pictures that I had paid for, think the $124 was money ill spent, since the other outfits gave me their quotes and consultations for free. The representative let me know then that he had done some spot repair (caulking) while he was on the roof, but that the pitch of the roof was steeper than what was safe for him without equipment, etc., and that that fact disqualified me from The Big Deal that I had bought. This was all news to me. I thanked him and told him I would contact you for a refund, since somehow the communication between him and you did not occur, but the charge to my credit card did.

It didn't turn out that well, actually. There was no mention about that if it was a two-story roof, that they couldn't do anything. He came around and poked around but didn't get up on the roof because he said he couldn't get up on a second-story roof. The roof was too high. The guy that came out was okay. I feel like the big deal was a little misrepresented. Otherwise, they appear to be a decent company.

My roof has a few leaks. The original roofer denied that it is the roof?s problem and did not response to my further request for help. This is the time I asked Patrick Miller Construction to have a look. The whole experience is excellent. 1. Their response is very quick. I called one afternoon. Patrick picked up the phone, and told me that he would ask Doug to call me back. Doug did the next morning. From then on I called Doug many times. He always called me back very quickly if I did not get hold of him at the time. One time, I called from a different number, and hung up after 5 or 6 rings and did not leave a message. A few minutes later, Doug called me back on that number. 2. Doug is very patient. He explained with plain language to me, a layperson, what?s the problem, how it can be fixed. One time he spent almost two hours with me, to look at flashing on the roof, to explain the issues we had, and to answer all my questions even I did not know what I was asking about. 3. Doug pays attentions to details. The weather around the scheduled job time was not favorable, sunny one day, raining the next day. My job was postponed twice. Doug always called me in advance to avoid the unpredictable wet weather. He said that my job does take times to finish, and the last thing we want is to tear the roof and get the house wet. Due to the reschedule, the supply company delivered the orders to my house before Doug could stop it. I called Doug twice to talk about my concerns, how to secure the supply, how to prevent them get wet. At the end of the day, Doug came to my house to check the supply and took proper measures. Also one time on the roof, Doug caulked some obvious trouble spots. This may not help much to prevent the leaks, but it does show that he cares. 4. They did the job very professionally. When they removed the exhausting fan flashing, they found the one ordered is a wrong size. The working crew cares the customer and did not act like the original roofer to put on whatever on hand, no matter if the size is matched. They ordered the correct size flashing, and come back to finish the very part of the job next day. Also they cleaned the areas very well, no debris are left in the yard. 5. They are punctual. At the time promised, they showed up to start working. And they finished the job on time as scheduled except the part due to wrong size flashing. At the time they found the problem, it was after 4:30pm, and they could not get the part in time to get the job completely done at the very day. 6. The work looks great. Comparing what was before and what is after, I can tell the differences. I am very happy with the company doing the job, and will definitely hire them again in the future.

The representative from Patrick Miller did a great job inspecting our roof and pointing out issues and potential fixes. We have not, however, heard back from them about an estimate for fixing it. I may call them or I may go another direction.

The initial evaluation of the project was accurate and on time. There was a delay for the starting of the project, due to the rainy weather. It was rescheduled and done on a different day without a hitch. We were pleased with the way the project was executed.

. Patrick came out and inspected our roof and chimney and took pictures so that we could clearly see any issues. He came out very promptly after our initial call. We were very involved in some other projects so we did not have him start the work for a couple of months. There was no pressure from him to start immediately, he was willing to work with our schedule. When we were ready to begin he had his crew out in two days. He came by to personally inspect the work and make sure we were happy afterwards. Personal service from a smaller company - great doing business with him.

I was getting quotes on several tasks, and this is one of the few that would do it all. Douglas came out and gave me a quote, and it was competitive individually with the people that do just the individual tasks, and came with the added bonus of basically having a contractor overseeing everything. They started about a week later, and did a great job in all aspects. We have a 1919-built house, and there were a lot of wonky aspects to deal with, and they made it look great. Were extremely willing to go far above and beyond to make their customers happy. Without a doubt, if when I need another large project done, they will be my first call.

Very responsive and professional to work with. Though it was a relatively small job, it was on a high pitch two story house -- not an easy roof to work on. I wasn't home when they were working, so came home to the shiny new metal flashing that needed repair, which was great. The replacement roof shingles also matched perfectly.

he did some caulking and sent an estimate for repairs. I felt the $99 "roof inspection and caulking" was a little over rated as any roofer would inspect for free and recommend caulking for free. My hubby could have easily done the caulking

The owner's assistant went on the roof to check for nail pops, loose shingles, etc. It did not take very long. They said all looked OK. There had been a couple of nail pops that they fixed, but all else was OK. Two days later my neighbor went on the roof and said there were several shingles on the lower part of the roof that were loose and could have been fixed. Someone else had told us this before the Miller Construction's inspection so I was surprised they missed the loose shingles. The neighbor's inspection proved that they were there but were missed. Luckily we hadn't experienced any leaks. I was disappointed that the cost of this Big Deal was wasted.

They were very prompt and hard-working, once we signed off (at the last possible moment). They worked hard and finished within literally hours of the first harsh snow of Winter 2013-14. We haven't yet had a chance to get up there and look at what they did, but we were notified that the roof had passed inspection. I have noticed that the moldy smell that used to be quite prominent in my front room has disappeared, even with all the heavy rains we have had recently, June 2014. They are very nice and very open and forthcoming about what they will do, what is needed, and what the charges will entail.

We actually ended up using someone my husband knows. However, to be fair, we were all set to use Patrick Miller Construction, Inc. They were very professional, knowledgeable and punctual, and made several trips to the house. I would consider using them in the future.

The Big Deal was well worth the price. Thorough roof inspection with pictures and complete information. We had some water damage on an interior wall and we'd had had a couple other companies (roofers & handymen) out to try and figure out what was causing the water damage. None of them had any idea. Patrick was very knowledgeable and identified the problem. He was professional, the individuals working for him were polite and punctual. The quality of the work was excellent. There were a couple issues that arose while the work was being done. Patrick was very responsive and the issues were dealt with/corrected to our satisfaction. Patrick was very easy to work with, communicated clearly and explained things in detail. we plan to have himback to do some work on our deck next spring.

Overall, my experience with Patrick Miller Construction went well. I got my roof inspection, and it led to a great result...just not with Patrick Miller Construction. My roof was in bad shape, and in need of repair, and that was identified. However, a good chunk of the damage was due to a recent hailstorm....and I didn't find that out until I got another company (Trinity Exteriors) out for a second opinion. The insurance covered my entire new roof. So, overall, the experience was fine....a little more detail to attention would have been nice.

This was a horrible experience from start to finish. We were expecting someone to come out and reseal the flashing around our chimney, we had a leak in the house because it was deteriorated, unfortunately this was never fixed. The first person to come to the house was over an hour late, didn't bother to call until they were that late. Once they got here they climbed up on the roof, took a bunch of pictures, did one line of caulk and that was it. Then proceeded to tell us what awful condition our roof was in, even though an insurance claims adjuster had just told us the opposite. Was maybe here all of 20 minutes and did not fix a thing. A week later a second person calls to come back and apologize for the work and wants to remedy the situation. Fine, sounded good. This time they showed up on the wrong day, came back the next and still did nothing to fix what we needed fixed. They did send us an over priced estimate to rip off our entire roof and replace it, seemed a bit drastic for flashing repair. In the end we fixed it ourselves and wasted a lot of time and money.

We had purchased a big deal for the service and it ended up being very expensive. He did his inspection, and when he gave us his bid, it was more expensive than anyone else. He is reputable, and it was nice for him to come out, but he was too expensive. He knows what he is doing and he has good reviews, but I thought that 99 Dollars is too much for an inspections. I didn't get any work done, just an estimate and a discussion.

He came out to look at my roof and did an inspection. He said he would get in touch with me. After a few weeks I followed up with him asking him to call me. He told me the roof would need to be done before the winter so this is urgent for me. I have yet to hear from him.

My only complaint is that he tried to sell us a new roof and made it sound like it was an immediate need. We had 3 other contractors look at the roof afterwards, and all said that it did not need to be replaced right away. But Patrick Miller's price estimate was competitive.

The guy who came out was really nice. I had two things that I wanted done. The other thing was to take down the satellite dish. He couldn't do that he said because he didn't have the right stuff to fill the whole where it was holstered down. When he inspected the roof, he told me all these stuff about the roof and that I needed a new roof. And at the back of my mind, I kind of knew that was what was going to happen. It was kind of like a switching bait. He was telling me areas that he walked that he felt soft in one area and another one cracked. He thought I had rotten roof deck. One thing led to another because I was also planning to be getting new windows. They came out a couple of times on the roof and the windows. It was so high the estimate that I didn't go with them. When you call to have an estimate on the roof, you shouldn't be charged. That aspect of it, I really wasn't too happy about it. But then he told me to turn in the plan to the insurance company for hale damage, which I did. Then the insurance company is going to pay for a replacement roof. There's a couple of other things that they threw in with the air conditioner and the deck but the estimate they gave me didn't include those two items. Their estimate was for the whole amount which isn't closer. I was sort of blown away by the price so I didn't go with them.

Patrick is a great communicator, start to finish, and I find this rare. He seems to be a totally great guy. He was on site the entire time with a three-person crew, directing the entire destruction of the garage and placing a high value on safety. It was really fun to watch. They were careful and efficient and it went fine. Like I said, I was a little bent out of shape that he seemed to exaggerate the magnitude of removing the concrete pad (it took a maximum of an hour) that he hadn't initially considered part of the bid. But the project went very well and I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism and his crew. I highly recommend these folks.

Found the source of a couple small leaks. Took numerous photos of the entire roof conditions. Provided a reasonable estimate to replace shingles. Very timely, courteous and professional. I expect I will have them back this fall or next spring to replace the shingles.

We had ordered windows and had a contractor lined up to install them and after we received the windows he realized the project was more then he could handle. We were installing a very large bay window, another very large 4 panel window and a smaller single window. Patricks team did an awesome job, all the old windows were hauled away and the installed windows look great. The final bill was less then the original quote. Very happy with the whole process.

I would never use them again. I have a two year old roof and they came out and did that on and they tried to sell me $2,000 in roof repairs which I couldn't believe. I called another roofer from Angie's List out, I told them what had happened, he came and look and he said "I hate to tell you this but there's absolutely nothing wrong with your roof." They were on time.
