At Painting by Jerry Wind, you’ll find that we are true craftsmen who really take pride in our work. We have the proper tools, equipment and training. As a result, you’ll be hiring pros that really understand and respect your house. Who treat your house like a home. We make the intrusion on your home as minimal as possible. We’ll even let out the dog or feed the cat. Painting by Jerry Wind was awarded the first ever, quarterly Safety at Work Award in December 2007 by The Builders Group, a workers compensation program with over one thousand companies as members. Before any work starts, the Field Manager reviews your job with you and our foreman. So, you’re assured that what is on the bid gets done. Member, it was a challenge to achieve a stain match so that both your new windows and your old sills, which we stripped, would match to your existing paneling. The windows were pine and a bit yellow in color. Your sills were fir and very red by nature, and your paneling is a medium brown tone! It did come out very well and we are glad you are happy with it.

Description of Work: We have not met yet to do an estimate, but I appreciated how quickly Ron got back to me about scheduling the appointment for the estimate. He was also flexible in working with my schedule to set a time to meet. (I would wait to post this until after actually meeting, and perhaps using their services, but Angie's List really wants me to review them before June 30th.) So far, so good.

Member, thank you for your comments! The original caulk had all pulled away and needed to be replaced. Then we color matched to the pre-finished window. The member thought it matched better than when it was originally installed. After 2 full coats of waterborne enamel it looked great again! See you in a month for the next project!

Description of Work: They were very prompt, clean , neat, and were professional in their interaction. They were hired to paint a closet and repair a bathroom wall and paint the walls of the bathroom. The painting was done well, but I discovered later that some paint had dripped on my tub and toilet. The painting of the closet was fine. They had to put my shelves back up and in a short time one of the shelves fell, because it had not been secured properly. In fairness, I didn't call them to inform them of the problems. Fortunately, my son was able to repair what was needed. | |I , also, felt the cost was quite high, but I needed something done quickly and i didn't shop around for bids. Not comparing bids was my error. I have since found a painter who was quick and neat and less expensive. | |The painting was done to expectations, but given the cost I didn't expect there to be the issues I had subsequently.

This job was completed by us in June of 2012, not June of 2014. Since this is the first time we've received this input from this member it makes it quite difficult to respond to the details of the situation. Personally, I don't think it is quite right to include it in our 2014 reviews. Nonetheless, I do apologize for the spots on the tub and the poor installation of the shelves. Member, we enjoyed working with you.Your home had some challenges of both high roofs and a high chimney. Trim boards needed replacing, troublesome water sources stopped, and of course painting and staining. Now it should hold up well for years to come! It was great working with you!

Thank you for the great review! We tried solving a persistent problem with moisture on the windows by using thorough preparation, sealing of bare edges, and an acrylic enamel finish coat. We also stripped and applied 3 coats of UV resistant Spar varnish to the entry door and sidelights, which looked great. It was a pleasure working with both of you!
