Work was excellent with wonderful attention to thoroughness and prevention of damage to floor and adjacent areas.

Everything went very well. There were some problem area on the ceiling, and technician Pete had me explain those problems in detail and then had me check his work every step of the way to ensure my concerns were addressed. And because this ceiling had given us problems, Pete put extra attention into those problem areas and didn't rush the job (he spent two days on it so we could make sure the problems weren't going to reappear - which is part of the reason I've waited so long to write a review. Making sure everything was still good many months later.) Communication with Painting By Jerry Wind was excellent, but I especially want to call out their technician Pete. He was professional, friendly, and really paid attention to the small details. He made sure to ask my opinion at every step of the job and made every effort to ensure I was satisfied with the work. The cost may have been just a little higher than other companies, but I'd tried to save a few dollars before and that didn't work out very well. I'm confident that Pete did high quality work and this ceiling will look good for many years to come.

Price seems a little high, but you get what you pay for. The prep work was outstanding and the proper coatings were selected for each surface type. The final result was excellent! In addition to being highly skilled, the painters were very nice people. I'll definitely hire them again!

They leveled a wavy old ceiling with dips and high points due to 100 year old plaster and made it look like new.

Ron made it easy to meet with him and he had the assessment ready to within about 30-45 minutes. We then went over all of the details, color schemes, and type of paint to be used. The painting crew was led by Adam, and they were exceptional. Everyone was very courteous, they showed up on time, and completed the job on schedule. They also cleaned up the work area each day, and I think that my garage and yard area were cleaner after they were finished. Adam also made a special effort to do a small repair on the front door for the porch. A final walkthrough was done, and we were informed that if there were issues that we should call. I would definitely use Painting by Jerry Wind again, and I will most likely request the same painting crew. I highly recommend this company.

Great experience from bid to completion. Attentive team and friendly crew with an eye for detail. Our sales rep worked with the local paint supply rep to determine the best product for the job. I'd definitely use this company again!

We contracted with them last fall, and with a small deposit were able to get put on an early spring start list. True to their word, Ron Wolfe, the field manager called in April and arranged to come out with his foreman and go over the project with me. After all the areas of work were discussed, they set up a schedule and explained how they would proceed. For the next two weeks they worked efficiently, professionally, and with great thoroughness and care. Neighbors commented on how expert the work was looking and how carefully and with what great detail the work was being done. If there was any adjustment to time --weather related- or materials needed or add-ons everything was handled professionally and with careful explanation of how we would accomplish the changing conditions. I added on some areas that weren't included in the original contract, and there was no reluctance on their part to adjust the schedule and the work load. At the finish of the project, Ron returned and did a walk through, made some small adjustments, and we settled the bill. Throughout the work period the crew was very careful of the property,and they cleaned up the area every day. They paid close attention to detail, and finished the work completely to my satisfaction. Because of the quality of their work and the 2 year guarantee, I feel like the price, although high, was very worth the end results. This house is in great shape and should not need exterior maintenance for quite awhile.

We have used Painting by Jerry Wind several times before. They are not the least expensive but are the best painters we have ever used. First, they are all very professional. They cleaned our kitchen every night before leaving so we could still use it to prepare meals. The main painter was loved by our dog who never barked when he arrived each morning! They do an excellent job, provide a detailed estimate and it is all around a great experience to have them in your home. They are kind, prompt, clean up and do everything right the first time so it lasts a long time.

He is very good. They had very nice people and good place. They were always clean and courteous. It looks very good when they finished the work. They were very punctual and polite. I was just very happy. Pricing, I think they were pretty good. If they have another good quote, I would use them again.

Initial contact from Jerry Wind was very prompt. We scheduled an estimate and they showed up on time and were very thorough and professional in their estimate. They asked good questions to make sure they were giving me what I wanted. I made a change early in the process and the estimate was quickly altered. Once work started, the team was on-time, very friendly, and did a great job cleaning up after themselves each day. They worked closely with me to custom-mix the stain until I was satisfied with the color - not too red and not too black. Their work was excellent. I was very pleased with the outcome.

BEWARE!!! If you get a quote from Painting by Jerry Wind be absolutely sure to get at least one or two other bids. Jerry Wind was more than 5 times the highest quote we received!!! I have used Painting by Jerry Wind in the past. Paid over $10,000 for work in my basement, so I am familiar with the quality of their work. They're good, but will take advantage of you if given the opportunity. It pains me to write this critical review because Jerry and Ron are likeable guys. When I showed the bid to the two other bidders, both were shocked and laughed almost uncontrollably. To add insult to injury, Painting by Jerry Wind offered to refinish the wood floor in the bedroom for $5,010. The bedroom is 250 sq ft. Do the math -- that's over $20 per foot. (The national average according to one source is $3.72 per sq foot --- YIKES!!) That bid got more than a chuckle from other bidders. One even asked if Jerry Wind would be replacing the floor! Bottom line: This outfit does good work, especially when it is done by Marlon. BUT, BE SURE TO GET A SECOND BID OR THESE GUYS COULD REALLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!!! Jerry and Ron don't paint anymore nor do any of the on site work, which in part explains their outrageous pricing. They in effect charge many times the going rate so they can pay themselves and the crew that actually does the work. Don't fall for their BS. In their response below they talk about potentially spending 400 hours at my home. (Three man crew for almost three weeks. 40 hours times 3 workers is 120 hours per week.) It's hard to figure out how they could do "almost 400 hours in a little less than three weeks." Again, I encourage Angie's List members to get other bids, get references and don't fall for Jerry Wind's crap of high quality must mean you need to pay their high prices. He loves to blather on about how the competition is sub standard and uses fear tactics like "you'll really never know about the quality of another painter's work until it's too late -- three years down the road. PS. I paid about $2,200 for the paint job in the bedroom and love the quality of the work. (That's 90% less than Jerry Wind!). The floor was refinished for $1,100 and I love that work too. (That was about 80 % less than Jerry Wind.) I stand by every word of my review. As mentioned, I have used these guys in the past. Paid over $10,000 to Jerry Wind to have my basement painted so I am familiar with their work. By the way, that paint job is chipping and cracking. My point in writing this review is that high quality painting doesn't have to cost 5 or in my case 10 times the cost of an equally skilled, high quality painter. Find an outfit where the people who bid the work actually do the work. (Like Jerry Wind did twenty years ago.). You'll save thousands!

Jerry Wind Painting was very good company to handle this job. They were 100% professional, all meetings were timely, and they were respectful of our time. We had to set up the entire project for 2015 so we could use some of our 401k money to pay for the work. They began on-time on January 19th, and even though the project took longer than expected, their work crew did everything they could to keep us comfortable while they worked on 4 rooms on the first floor of our house. They did work on 2 rooms at a time - first the Living Room and Dining Room, when those two rooms were finished we moved all the furniture from the study and guest bedroom into the completed rooms while they were working on them. Our work crew, Marlon & Jose worked at our house everyday for 3 and a half weeks. They were master craftsmen in their trade. They new how far to pursue the cracks and irregularities in the walls (often right down to the lathe), and they took painstaking care to rebuild the walls.a layer at a time, using a variety of products, recommended for that particular layer for very specific reasons. Some were used for their flexibility, some for hardness, etc. They cleaned up everyday, running a vacuum cleaner to pick up as much dust as possible, and they protected our furniture and other items to our complete satisfaction. Their taping and use of plastic to seal off rooms worked well to keep the dust of sanding and wall preparation to a minimum, in the rest of the house. Marlon and Jose were professional, good natured and helpful in any way they could be. Each day they explained the work to be done and answered any questions we might have had. They went the extra mile every day to keep us informed and help us stay as comfortable as possible in the rest of the house. This was a difficult job with lots of surprises and problems requiring great skill, patience and craftsmanship. We were very pleased with the crew and all the people we worked with from Jerry Wind Painting. We received very high quality work and the knowledge that every possible issue was dealt with down to its cause. We will feel good about passing this house along to the next owners, know that we, and Jerry Wind Painting, did the best job possible.

They did a beautiful job, and the work is terrific! There were some circumstances that delayed the schedule, but they made up for it by expediting the job, which I appreciated.

.They were great to work with and were very determined to make us happy. Originally, I thought the price was a bit high but all of their attention to details, cleanliness and determination to make us happy made it worth the money. We had a difficult time matching the stain in the lower bedroom. It had a redder tint than we wanted. They came up with the solution of adding a green dye to the varnish layers that brought it back to a nice, neutral brown. They are great to work with.

They did a great job. Very professional. On time, courteous, good with pets and young kids. No bad language or smoking. Very thorough work. We are very pleased with the results!

Very good work - the walls and ceilings look beautiful now. When we had them come to bid the job, they provided details of the products that they planned to use unlike the others - my contractor friends gave the "thumbs up" and said they were doing it the right way and not using easier or faster methods or cheaper products on the job. The job took a little longer than anticipated, but not by much. Although they did the work two years ago now, they recently came back to look at one small area where cracks had returned and said they would warranty the work and repair the cracks. I will definitely use them again when the time comes.

He did a good job. Very detailed in his work and it is holding up very well. Had chipping in the past and it is not happening after they came out.

Unfortunately do their workload and weather it was late September before the project got started. The entire crew did a fantastic job and looks great. Juan and Ron came out and did a final walk thru and touch up and left us with the remaining stain. It was a great job and very professional, I guess that's why it takes a little longer than other companies that also bid on the job.

The painter were very professional and completed all services on time. He kept the place very clean and did an excellent job in some of the more difficult areas to paint

I got three estimates to paint the exterior of my house. The estimator from JWP was the most thorough and detailed in explaining what they would do and would not do. He was careful to explain why their paint jobs are the highest quality. The price was the highest of the three bids but because the overall impression of their responsiveness and professionalism I decided to pay the extra money for what I thought was the extra quality and peace of mind. I was not disappointed. They showed up on time, the painters were courteous and professional, and their job foreman was careful to keep me updated on their progress. He was very communicative and asked questions where needed to make sure we were on the same page. I could see by how they worked that they were doing an excellent job. In the end, I feel I got a top-notch paint job, and I?m almost over the pain of paying a premium price. I would suggest to anyone looking for a house painting job to get an estimate from them.

The kitchen walls now look like there was never any damage to them. The ceiling in the kitchen is beautiful. The bathroom ceiling is no longer peeling. I had a different painter come through a few years ago but within a year, it was peeling again. Not this time!! The workers were very prompt and courteous. They were very quiet and cleaned up every night before leaving.

They are outstanding. They were very competent, friendly and did a wonderful job. I have nothing bad to say about them! I would highly recommend them!

I travel a lot, and so I wasn't in town for most of the work, but Jerry Wind made the experience painless! Start to finish this is a great company to work with. I felt very well taken care of. I received an update call while traveling, and by the time I got home everything was tidy. They even did a little touch up on another side of the house for no additional charge. Two years later, the paint job is holding up perfectly. We have an 1898 house with what I am sure is some of the original siding, and it looks great!
