NORTON FLOOR REFINISHING

I met Todd when he came over to look at my floors that were just refinished (poorly) by another company. I hired him to fix them up properly. He was just great! Did a wonderful job, fixed all the problems left by the previous company, was very neat and did not leave a mess, showed up on time, and communicated well. In short, I recommended him to friends and will use him again when my floors need more attention. He charged fairly. It seems difficult these days to find people like Todd Norton, who takes pride in his work and his company.

Todd and Jim have refinished other floors for me. I'm a repeat customer. He has competitive pricing (I got two other bids), and the work is done quickly, cleanly, and professionally. I'm sure I will use him again.

Everything went as planned and was completed in the timeline and cost he gave. This was the 2nd time I have used Todd, He refinnished all my floors when I moved into my home in 2009 as well. I would highly recommend him and have to many people!

The work went very well. Todd Norton, the owner, gives an accurate, straight forward free estimate. He schedules the work, and the work done according to the schedule. His installer, Jim, works with a professional quickness to complete the job as soon as possible. They are both courteous and reliable. I have received numerous compliments from friends and acquaintances when they view the cabin floor, and received similar compliments on the previous job in Crystal as well.

I chose Todd because of the good reviews on here and because he was close to my house. He measured all the rooms, hallways, and closets and came back with a very reasonable quote. He started the work approximately 3 weeks later and did a great job. He quickly responded to emails and phone calls throughout the process. The floors look fantastic. Great job on clean up, too.

They were really great to respond scheduled. They gave really good value for money. The owner was very friendly, knowledgeable about what he was doing.

I contacted Norton Floors and got an estimate from them quickly. They were able to do the work when I wanted it done, just a few weeks after I called. They refinished original oak floors with a standard 3-coat poly finish. They always arrived promptly and completed the work quickly. They took time to clean up and used equipment to minimize dust. The process took an extra day or two because the weather wasn't cooperating - it was very humid, which didn't allow the finish to dry very quickly - but they finished the job as soon as they could. The floors look great, and the price was excellent. I will definitely call them again.

Overall the experience was great. There was a scheduling issue in the beginning but after rescheduling the initial bid, I am very glad I did. The floors turned out beautiful. I've already referred this business on to a friend. Thanks!

Overall the project went very well, Todd and Jim were there when they said they were going to be there, the work area was kept clean, and the work was completed on time. The floors look great.

They did a great job. We weren't living in the house at the time, which is good because the smell would have made us move out anyway. There were a few spots that needed to be touched up after the job was finished and they took care of them right away. They did leave stain marks on my front door but I was able to wash them off. Overall, I would recomend them, they did a GREAT job.

we used norton in our last house 8 years ago and they did a great job so we felt comfortable using them again. they came out right away with a bid and started the same week and they always showed up on time. the floors were pretty rough and i was skeptical that they could be salvaged but they turned out beautiful.

I love that he works for himself and you are not paying overhead, and he really cares about what he does. We live in an old house, so we have used him a couple of times and the first time he actually hunted around to find wood work that matched our house. We used him again ten years later, he hunt around for wood again, but could not do that any more, but told us what we needed to do. He and this other guy who is working for him are just top-notch. I think he knows floors and old houses. He works for himself and because of that the pricing was excellent and you could not ask for a better job. We spent $12000 on the last job. Not only did he refinish the floors, but also put in new flooring that matched the old flooring.

Todd and his partner Jim have been refinishing floors together for about 15 years and Jim said that he has a total of 25 years experience and it really showed. He was very efficient and neat. Both showed me a high level of courtesy and professionalism. I will be recommending them to everyone without hesitation.

He saved me a couple thousand dollars by giving a creative idea of just buffing out light scratches in the polyurethane and putting down a new coat. This company was professional, timely, and a great value. This is the second time I have used this company, and should I need anything again in the future, this is the company I will call.

We were in the process of doing some remodeling when we discovered we had hardwood floors in one of our small bedrooms. We decided to have it refinished, but had to have the work done soon as to keep on track with the remodeling schedule. Todd returned our call right away, and also stopped out to due the bid the next day. He was reasonably priced and both he and Jim were a pleasure to work with. We thought the floor turned out great! Excellent work and done in a timely manner.

Overall, living room looks great. Brought old floors back to life. Stairs going upstairs has crack in wood just above last step, crack was only partially filled so looks odd. Weird not to putty the rest of the crack. Also, upstairs there were two spots where rugs were placed down too early by last owners and small discoloring. No improvement to this with light sanding, so upstairs doesn't look any different than it did before really. Did charge us less for light sanding but still surprised discoloring doesn't look any better. Nice guys to work with, very friendly and sounded like they are experienced in wood refinishing. Only issue was with crack not fully puttied and upstairs discoloring that wasn't improved. In all fairness we were told it might not get better, just surprised it didn't get any better.

I am very satisfied with the work performed by Norton Flooring. The project was completed very quickly and the finished floors look fantastic. I will definitely use this company again in the future.

Floors were in terrible condition with lots of old paint and marks from a previous owner's attempt to redo them himself. We used Norton to do two other floors about 5 or 6 yrs ago and were SO impressed with their work. We wouldn't consider hiring anyone else for our refinishing work. They came out within a few days to do the estimate and then were back in about 2 weeks to do the actual work.

He contacted me right away for the estimate but took a lot longer to write up the bid and get back to me to set up the date for the project to be done. I was getting a little worried that it was not going to work out but he did the project in one day as proposed. The work was satisfactory and we had no problems.

Todd was great to work with. He is very trustworthy and was always available or would make things work around our schedule. The floors are fabulous. We actually had him come back on three separate occasions and he was very willing to meet our needs. We get lots of great compliments on how well the floors look and he did a fabulous job getting rid of stains, from the poor upkeep of the carpet that was covering the floors, from previous owners.

Todd was very helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. We discussed my options for salvaging the original floors, and he encouraged me to try the installation myself since I was trying to save on costs, and he borrowed me some equipment to do this. The floors turned out beautifully. All the stains came up and the finish is very nice. Only complaint is some of the corners didn't come out very clean.
