Stay away from this company! The job probably would have gone okay if they hadn't run into a problem, but they found that the soffit and facia was falling down on one side of the house. The installer called me out to look at it and said he could get the gutters up, but had no suggestions for how to fix the problem. When I asked him what my options were he said, "I don't know I'm just the gutter guy." He installed the gutters, but they don't work at all, the rain just pours down off the roof, never getting into the gutters. It is a much worse situation than I had with my old gutters. When you call the office no one is ever home. An answering service takes almost all of the calls. I call Jared, the person who gave me the bid, and it always takes at least 3 days to get a return call. I have contracted with another company to fix the soffit and facia, but I can't get Northwoods out to take down the gutters so my contractor can do the work. They basically created a problem I didn't have before and also created an obstacle to me getting it fixed. I work for a real estate developer and we work with contractors all the time, I should have gone with the firm recommended by our construction supervisor but they were scheduled out so far. We never hire anyone who can't work with you to solve a problem, because they come up so often. It's been almost a month that I have been trying to get the situation resolved, and nothing has happened. Jared said he would have a crew out last Wednesday to take down the gutters, but of course that didn't happen.

I wouldn't be afraid of using this company, but I would make sure you get a writen bid with experation date & the particulars of the arrangment.

THIS IS A REVISION TO AN EARLIER REPORT. THEY RETURNED TO COMPLETE UNFINISHED WORK. THE WORKERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, PUNCTUAL AND EFFICIENT. UNFORTUNATELY, THE SAME CANNOT BE SAID ABOUT THE CONTRACTOR. HE WAS COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL, BUT NOT PUNCTUAL, ORGANIZED OR EFFICIENT. THE OVERALL GRADE FOR THIS COMPANY WOULD BE HIGHER IF HE WOULD IMPROVE HIS ORGANIZATION AND MEMORY. I WOULD HIRE THIS COMPANY AGAIN WITH RESERVATIONS RELATED TO THE CONTRACTOR. THE WORK DONE ON OUR HOUSE HAS VASTLY IMPROVED THE LOOK AND VALUE OF OUR PROPERTY.

I HAD CALLED TO RECEIVE AN ESTIMATE FOR REPLACING MY SIDING. THE REP CALLED THE MORNING OF THE MEETING TO CANCEL BECAUSE HE WAS SICK. HE STATED HE WOULD CALL BACK THE NEXT DAY TO RESCHEDULE AND HE NEVER DID. I CALLED AND LEFT NUMEROUS MESSAGES AND FINALLY HEARD BACK FROM HIM A COUPLE OF WEEKS LATER. I LET HIM COME OUT AND GIVE ME A QUOTE AND STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK AFTER 2+ MONTHS.

I WORK WITH JOHN, HE'S DONE OTHER WORK FOR ME ALSO. THE QUALITY OF WORK IS EXCELLENT. HE IS EXTREMELY PATIENT AND WILLING TO GO THE EXTRA MILE AND DO THE BEST WORK POSSIBLE. HE GOES BEYOND WHAT MOST PEOPLE WOULD DO IN TERMS OF THE INSTALLATION. HE WANTS TO DO THE JOB RIGHT AND IS VERY METICULOUS. I WILL BE USING HIM AGAIN FOR OTHER WORK.
