Worked with Northeast Tree on an estimate to trim one ash and one elm tree away from house and power line. They also provided estimate to remove one ash tree that is dying. They were extremely prompt, providing an estimate the next day. They were very knowledgeable and thorough in their review. I ultimately went with another service due to budget constraints.

This company has been fantastic, from our initial request for a bid to the completion of the work as scheduled! Professional through scheduling additional work in addition to our original request and the thorough cleanup after completion. Lynn's quick response to our emails was appreciated. The price was reasonable, the crew was timely and efficient, and they finished even sooner than expected.

I am really happy with Northeast Tree and their quick responsiveness. Contacted them on a Thursday and mentioned I wanted to put my house on the market in a week and inquire whether there was any way to handle my small job quickly. They said they did have jobs scheduled out a few weeks but would try to work it in if possible. The arborist, Lynn, came out the same day I emailed them to give me an estimate and I booked it Friday and they were out Monday to cut the tree down. Will definitely call them once I'm in my new house.

If you are serious about taking down a big tree and you want to do it safe and have professionals do it, it is Northeast. They are just really good. They came in with 200-ton cranes to take out a 200-foot, 60 year old Maple. They did it in six cuts and there wasn’t any damage at all to the property. They are truly professional people. There is a lot of the tree people and a lot of the other organizations that think that George and Len, who run the business, are just top notch, and so do we. I would recommend them to anybody on Angie’s List. When we were going to do stump grinding, it threw a bearing, so there was a two week delay from getting the tree down to getting the grinding done. They were right back as soon as they got that bearing fixed on the machine. The only thing that could have changed is that the County would have released the crane, but when we were ready to do things in February, it turns out that, two days later, they put road weight restrictions on heavy equipment, so they couldn’t move the equipment here until May. But that is not their fault. The only other thing is that it would have been nice if we had gotten the stump done the same day as the tree but it was the machine. Otherwise they were very good about things. When I look at the two things I would like to change, neither one of them was the company’s fault. They are the people to go to if you have got some big trees. They are very knowledgeable arborists. The price was acceptable because it cost some extra dollars to get that crane since it was so specialized. So the price was just fine. They were very punctual. They were going to be here at 8 o’ clock and they turned the corner with the crane at 8 o’ clock. They were very much on time. George was on time for the bid, and when they were going to be out doing stump grinding, they were right on time. They were an A-plus team from beginning to end. I would bring them in if we needed to take a big tree down or we needed some help with some of the trees.

Affordable and able to work around our schedule. Always feel everyone from NE Tree is extremely knowledgeable! Job done in less than a day.

From the first contact to the last this company was very easy to work with. I called to get someone to come out and give me a estimate and I had to leave a message but I received a call back within a few hours. Some one came to look at the tree and the conditions when they said they would and I received an email the next morning with an estimate. I thought the price was a good price for the job. The tree was a large Maple that had a trunk that was 8 feet in diameter with power lines running through the branches, in a fenced yard with a shed located very near the tree. Some of the branches also hung over a porch. The company coordinated everything with the power company as the power lines needed to be dropped before the tree could be removed. The crew arrived right on time and took great care removing the tree being very careful not to damage the porch, fence or shed. They even lifted the ground where the trucks left indentations in the ground. The crew made sure everyrthing was cleaned up good before they left. Everyone from the office personnel to the crew were very pleasent and explained every step along the way. I mostly communicated via email before and after the removal and all my email was was responded to the same day within an hour or two. I am very good experience with Northeast Tree and would definitely recommend them.

They then temporarily braced the branch to prevent falling/damage while they coordinated to get powerlines down in order to remove the branch. All went smoothly.

Other similar large old trees in our neighborhood have lost large branches and damaged homes in recent storms; we wanted to maintain the beauty of our tree while at the same time preventing storm damage (as much as possible) and doing what we can to prolong its life. The company was very helpful in answering our questions and explaining in detail what they recommended. The day they arrived to do the pruning was cold and cloudy; it rained hard when they were about half finished with their work. In spite of the bad weather, they kept working and finished more quickly than we expected. They were careful to clean up all the branches and debris, and the tree looked much better (not denuded) after their work. We appreciated that they didn't try to convince us to do more than necessary to preserve the appearance and health of the tree!

Came out and submitted bid. The bid was very informative and detailed, but lost out as it was more expensive than an alternative bid when the contractor came in person, and I was able to ask more questions.

Request for proposal included health assessment and pruning, which I wrongly assumed would involve full crown cleaning according to the definition on their website. Per their definition of pruning, I had anticipated removal of all dead or dying branches, only to learn this was not included in their estimate. Before departing, and to add insult to our ignorance, the arborist and crew on-site pointed out numerous dead and dying branches for my wife that were not removed.

First rate job! All the contact/exchanges leading up the the work were quick and detailed. Estimates were concise and easy to read and George came out for the estimate personally. He had me sold during the estimate due to his manner and obvious expertise. We had a short delay due to weather (too cold) but they were able to reschedule the work for a weekend which allowed us to keep another date for a shed to be built. NE Tree also coordinated a power drop with Xcel Energy that went smoothly. The yard and street were cleaned up afterward and there was little disruption for my neighbors. One of my neighbors was interested in some tree work herself so I recommended that she talk to NE Tree since they were onsite. I only caught part of the conversation but one point I overheard was that NE Tree did not recommend cutting part of a tree since it would cause a wound that would hurt the tree. So NE Tree isn't just going to take a job for a jobs sake but are ethical about the work they do. Now that our shed is build and the sold/diseased trees are going we're planning to redo the yard and will call on NE Tree for advice about which trees to plant and where. They are great to work with and really know what they are doing when it comes to trees!

One needs a ?AA? to rate this company, but an ?A? is as high as it goes. We needed a tree removed, two others pruned one of which is pretty tall. An arborist came out to provide advice and make an estimate, a work order was created and forwarded to me. I had to modify things a bit but that was done over the phone. Then scheduling, later a four man team showed up on time with their equipment, saws, shredder, stump grinder, etc. All the work was done, and not a twig remained on the lawn after they cleaned up. So top marks in all areas, the business end, the advice provided, a hard working experienced team and even some entertainment for me. Watching the stump removal process, the machine was controlled via a hand held device, like you would expect on a model airplane. And watching the clearing out of the tall elm was amazing. The team member climbed up where only squirrels and birds would dare to go (and I?m not sure of the squirrels). You need tree work, call this company.

Removed nearly dead 35 - 40 foot Basswood which was within six feet of the house. Pruned eight year old Autumn Blaze Maple. Would not hesitate to give them a referral.

Was late in response after initial contact in late August, but George made it out and explained our tree in great detail. Instructed that we don't need trimming for several more years. Very knowledgeable. Will use them in the future for any of our tree needs.

We had a bad storm in late June that resulted in some damage. Initially I wasn't too concerned as it seemed we didn't have a big problem. However a week later my son and I found four more broken branches, two hanging over the roof. So I started to check around for a tree service. Unfortunately most were very booked up, including Northeast Tree, I was impressed that they reminded me that my city of Crystal requires any tree trimmers to be city approved. They told me no matter who I chose to check the city listing. Based on that I looked them up on the city list, and also looked at reviews on Angie's List. Based on this I had them come out and give me an estimate. A few days later I got the written estimate. I felt the cost was fair and hired them. The work they did was very good and the yard was cleaned up fairly well. My only negative comment is that due to workload they couldn't give me an exact day for sometime. I finally called for an update, bu would have preferred if they checked in periodically to let me know how close to coming out they might be. The work was done on July 30th, so a bit of a wait, which I didn't mind except for the communication delay. I would use this service again, as the work was well done as I stated.

Went very well. They were quick and courteous. The staff was professional, and did a good job cleaning up when they were finished. I would definitely reccomend and use them again!

The team of 3 people got here at 3:00 pm and were done in an hour. I was totally amazed that they could clean up all the debris in my back yard and off my roof in such a short time and blew everything clean with a leaf blower.

Met Lynn at a local home improvement conference in the winter. Discussed with her that I recently had to cut down a dying tree and I was looking to plant a new one. She provided contact information, tree brochures and a 10% discount coupon. Early Spring I reached back out to Lynn to set up a time for her to come out, look at where I wanted to plant the tree, and do an assessment of the soil and placement. Though it was April, our first meeting time got snowed out. She called early enough on the date of the appointment to reschedule. We set up another time and got everything straightened away. I was provided a list of tree's that would be good for the space and also a price quote for the tree's. Lynn made sure to listen to my concerns and to what I wanted in a tree before jumping in trying to jump in. Once I had selected the Maple I wanted, we coordinated setting up the planting. The planting went fantastic. The crew was on time and neat. I didn't find any signs that they were in my yard except the fact I had a beautiful tree planted in my front yard. I was provided care instructions and told to could reach out at any time with questions or concerns. Lynn was also easy to contact via E-mail; I find this a huge bonus!

My plans changed slightly, so I was home when Lynn came by to look at our trees on July 3. We discussed taking out 4 storm damaged trees and one that had died earlier, and within a few days she had emailed me a proposal. We agreed to a price of $1000 and are waiting for the work to be scheduled. I was very impressed with the responsiveness of this company at a busy time, and look forward to having the work done!

Northeast Trees is great to work with. Talked to the owner by phone to discuss scope of work. Met with the arborist who examined the trees we wanted worked done on. Gave us good suggestions. Received estimate timely and agreed to it, Crew was on time, courteous, each one was professional and got to work quickly. Answered all our questions as we followed them around the yard.. They met with our neighbor to ensure he understood what was being done in their yard to their trees, too. When the work was completed our yard was cleared of all debris. Since that service we have called them for advise on current issues and the owner was willing to answer all our questions. We plan to use them again this fall for more work. We recommended Northeast Trees to our cousin. She had them do a lot of work in her yard and was very pleased with the service provided. All in all Northeast Trees has been the best company to work with.

Northeast Tree did a great job, and also gave helpful, knowledgeable advice during the estimate. They were very professional, Lynn the office mgr. kept me well informed and she was accommodating with scheduling the service which was nice. The crew was thorough, and cleaned up the site nicely. The estimate of work was clear and they delivered as promised. The stump removal was done later as the ground was too soft at the time of the tree removal. Again I appreciated their advice to wait on the stump removal. I also thought they were reasonably priced. I would use them again and recommend them to others!

I called Northeast Tree during a large storm after I noticed one of our pine trees was leaning against the house. George and Lynn came out that very night, after the storm had blown thru, to take measurements and assess the state of the trees. Both trees had root failure (one dramatically), and would need to come out. I had an estimate of costs the very next day, and was able to schedule the removal. It took two days until the removal, due to arranging a crane needed. The work done was top notch, as always, and they took great care to not damage the landscaping around the trees. The cost to remove the trees was very reasonable given the size of each. I would absolutely recommend Northeast Tree to anyone.

They have done previous services for me and I had no questions about using them again. They know their business and they are very careful with their work. They do a great job, follow through with the work, and are concerned with your safety.

Both Lynn and George were very prompt and courteous throughout the process. They answered questions I had, and scheduled the work quickly. They had a very competitive price (and the Angie's List discount offered was a bonus!) Their crew did a great job, on-time, and left the yard in great shape. I highly recommend using Northeast Tree Inc, and would use them again in the future.

Wow, where to start? Our project was huge. It took a crane, bucket truck and team of climbers two days to remove the beast from our yard. Both days the team was right on time, maybe even a bit early. They were highly professional, keeping me up on the progress of the project. They even provided a generator for me and my neighbors since we had to cut the power while they were working. Throughout the project the team was careful to ensure the safety of not only the staff but of our house and garage as well. When they were done, on both days, they cleaned up the yard of all debris. Except for all of the new sunlight you would never know they had been there. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They tackled a project that many companies would not. I am still impressed by the way George and Lynn coordinated all of the various parts of the project. I would definitely use them again.
