NORTHEAST TREE INC

I've used several tree companies and this one is by far the most professional in every way, from the sales side to the billing side to the actual tree work. So I can't recommend them highly enough.

Lynn was prompt in returning my call as well as coming to give the bid. She gave a quote she left in the mailbox and followed it up with a typed proposal, as she said she'd do. There price was comparable with some others I received, but I decided to go with the cheapest bid, which was about half the cost. Overall, I have no reservations about using them in the future.

Did not arrange for me to be at home when they came by to do the estimate. While I knew they would come by at a random time, the fact that their estimate was the highest and the fact that I didn't get to talk to them in person to find out what the scope of their work would be, I couldn't go with their bid.

Great! Received a call back within a day estimate was received a week later and within a week of approving the estimate the work was completed. Very professional ground crew, everyone wore helmets, ear and eye protection. Cleanup was done by them and I was/is satisfied.

I called for an estimate to remove branches at my recently-deceased uncle's house. Some were hanging on the garage roof and others near the house were providing squirrels with too-easy access. I thought I made it clear that I was interested only in trimming what was absolutely necessary, since we're not sure what we'll be doing with the property. However, in addition to pruning 1 large ash, the estimate described complete removal of 2 pines by the house (admittedly in bad shape) and 3 trees near the garage. Not only that, the estimate assumed I'd want them to grind the stumps below grade & smooth the site. No simpler (cheaper) alternatives were offered, and thus the estimate came to $1800. We decided to use a company that listened to what we wanted and did not inflate the job.

Knowledgeable staff. Came in person, estimate and follow up communication was via email.

They were 40% less than another bid. They did it while I was out of town. They were good at communicating. They were very good at cleanup.

Lynn was extremely knowledgeable and professional, and gave us suggestions and info on alternative trees for replacement. Calls were always returned and it was very easy to coordinate scheduling. The workers were on time, very professional and tidy, and were clearly a well-functioning team. It was a pleasure to work with this company.

Lynn was very professional and thorough. She gave me an honest evaluation of work that needed to be done versus work that could wait. Estimates and invoices were very clear. The workers sent to the site (including 1 arborist) were very polite and helped with a last minute addition to the job. The only negative part of the experience was that the workers thought they were supposed to remove the front hedges rather than trim them. If I would not have been home to meet them, I would have been very surprised when I got home. Since I was home, it wasn't a big deal. All in all a great experience. I will not hesitate to use them in the future.

We had several medium sized stumps that needed to be removed and chipped. Should be an easy job, but we had a hard time finding a service to do the work because some of the stumps had been pierced by fence wire. We received a few high bids and were turned down by other companies. Northeast did a great job! Their price was the lowest, they were not scared of some wire in the trunks and they were PROMPT! We would definitely use them again.

THIS IS A FABULOUS SERVICE. I AM A HOMEOWNER OF 20 YEARS AND HAVE HIRED 4 OTHER SERVICES. THIS ONE IS THE BEST.

Lynn was great. She was very prompt with her response and the proposal was very competitive with the two other quotes I received. After I authorized the work, it was completed within a week- even with the July 4th holiday weekend.

The company was very responsive and timely. They returned calls very quickly and came out to do an estimate within a day of calling, which was greatly appreciated. Further, Lynn provided a follow-up call to say the estimate was in the mail and for me to call with any questions, which was also greatly appreciated. The only reason I did not go with Northeast Tree was because I had an extremely positive experience with another tree service as well, and that company had a slightly lower estimate. All-in-all, I think Northeast Tree seems like a professional and reputable company, and they seem to care about their customers/prospective customers. Thanks for the positive experience.

I had a great experience with Northeast tree. Although I never talked with a person until the work was completed, things progressed quickly (I left messages on their machine). They were able to look at the trees while I was at work and then send me an estimate. They completed the work soon after we told them we'd like to go with them. They cleaned up nicely when the work was completed. The only hitch as that the people they'd hired to do the stump grinding were unable to get into my back yard to grind the stump of the yew. They didn't report this back to Northeast Tree, so I was charged for this removal although it wasn't done. I called Northeast tree and they were quick to remedy the bill situation. They charged less than another company that gave us an estimate. A third company said the job was too small. I was very pleased and would use them again.

Very courteous on the phone and promptly provided an estimate. Unfortunately, their bid was $1,000 more than the next highest estimate (I received 4 estimates) and $1,500 more than the company I decided to use.

Of the three estimates I got, Northeast Tree was $50 less than the next highest estimate, and half the cost of the third. All of the crew were friendly and professional. The lead (I'm sorry, I forget his name) was great. After removing the tree (which took about 2.5 hours) he stayed behind for at least a half an hour to give me estimates on injection for my remaining elms (one of which he said was not worth injecting since it was in rough shape) and identified all of the trees on the property for me. As a new homeowner, I don't know much about trees, but I found Northeast very helpful. I found out that I have 2 mulberry trees which will grow VERY large too large for the space they were allotted, and will not be very attractive or easy to maintain when full grown. I'll use them again for injection (and removal if necessary).

Their estimate was half the other estimate I got. I called for an estimate and got it two days later. I called for them to do the work and they showed up two days later. Very cheap, very fast and good work.

I was very pleased with Northeast Tree. The price they quoted me was below other bids and the work they did was excellent. They also went above and beyond what had been requested in very thoughtful ways, such as cutting some of the wood and adding it to my firewood pile instead of hauling it all away. I will use them again in the future.

Lynn was prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable about her estimate. One other service recommended trimming and thinning for a tree that did NOT require it. Lynn could have done the same and gotten another $400. She honestly evaluated the tree and made the correct recommendation. Her crews (cutting and stump) were efficient and helpful.

They're very professional, and they take the time to explain everything they're going to do ahead of time.

Very quick to respond to both the enquiry and the request to do the work. They completed work the same day of the request. They presented a complete proforma and made suggestions that were good. Completed work as stated on proforma and as expected.

THESE FOLKS WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. INITIALLY, THEY SPENT A LOT OF TIME WITH US LOOKING AT OUR NEEDS. THEY ACTUALLY TOLD US SOME WORK THAT WE THOUGHT WAS NECESSARY WAS NOT. WE RECEIVED THE ESTIMATE IN JULY, BUT THE WORK COULDN'T BE DONE UNTIL THE GROUND (& A POND) WERE FROZEN. WHEN WE CALLED TO SCHEDULE IN JANUARY, THEY WERE ABLE TO COME OUT WITHIN THE WEEK.

THE WOMAN I SPOKE WITH ON THE PHONE WAS FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL; THE PROPOSAL WAS CLEAR AND ARRIVED PROMPTLY. I WOULD HAVE FELT VERY COMFORTABLE HIRING THIS COMPANY IF NOT FOR THEIR PRICE. THEY WERE BY FAR THE HIGHEST OF THE THREE BIDS I GOT, AND THAT'S THE ONLY REASON I DIDN'T CHOOSE THEM.

IN A RECENT STORM THE HONEY LOCUST LOST TWO LARGE BRANCHES, MORTALLY WOUNDING IT. THE BOX ELDER SEEMED HEALTHY, BUT I SUSPECTED THAT IT WAS NEARING THE END OF ITS LIFE AND, IF IT CAME DOWN, WOULD WREAK CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE TO MY HOUSE AND MY NEIGHBOR'S FENCE. LYNN CAME OUT TO INSPECT A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER I CALLED. SHE INSPECTED BOTH TREES VERY THOROUGHLY. AT FIRST SHE WAFFLED ON THE BOX ELDER, BUT THEN FOUND A VERY LARGE CRACK IN A MAIN LEADER, AND RECOMMENDED ITS REMOVAL. THE BID ARRIVED PROMPTLY, AND, ALTHOUGH IT SEEMED HIGH, WAS COMPETITIVE, BEING THE CHEAPEST OF THE THREE BIDS RECEIVED. THEY PROMISE THAT THE WORK WOULD BE DONE IN A FEW WEEKS, AND CAME AS PROMISED (ALTHOUGH THEIR INITIAL ATTEMPT WAS THWARTED BY A LIGHTNING STORM). THE REMOVAL WAS DONE VERY QUICKLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. THE YARD SHOWED ALMOST NO DAMAGE FROM THE LARGE CRANE, AND IT WAS LEFT SPOTLESS. LYNN AND THE COMPANY WERE A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH, AND I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN FOR ANY FUTURE WORK.

I HAVE NOT HAD MY TREE TRIMMED. GEORGE WAS VERY PROMPT AT GETTING ME AN ESTIMATE IN MID-JUNE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD SEVERAL TIMES THAT HE WILL BE OUT TO TRIM MY TREE. HE DOES NOT SHOW UP, NOR DOES HE CALL. I FINALLY GOT A CALL FROM LYNN WELLES SAYING THE DATE WAS TO BE 8/31. ONCE AGAIN, NO SHOW, AND NO PHONE CALL TO EXPLAIN.
