Outstanding results. Kurt was able to work with our schedule and availability which why we chose to have him work with us again.

Everything went very well! Kurt does excellent work and is friendly, professional, reliable and trustworthy. He also was patient when I changed my mind about paint color and when I added to the scope of a project. We trust him in our house even when we're not there.

Kurt and New Day's work was first-rate as always. New Day is always very prompt, courteous, and cleans up after working - not to mention the top-notch work they did in the stripping and staining of our woodwork - getting the room back to its old 19th Century glory. I wholeheartedly recommend Kurt and New Day and will continue to use them for future projects on our house.

Everything was done as planned and within our rather tight time frame. We were out of town and arranged access to our home for the work. This helped immensely. All three services exceeded our expectations and we would wholeheartedly recommend Kurt to any one in need of his work.

I had so many varied tasks for Kurt I had to put them on a spreadsheet so we could keep track. He communicated well about these and was nearly flawless in his execution. The work looks wonderful! It’s vital to me that my painters come on the day they committed to, as a I have duplex with a one day turnover time when tenants move out. Kurt has worked for me for about 10 years and has always kept his commitment. It’s good he’s willing to work along side me, as I do painting tasks that I can handle. He’s quite willing to give me advice on how to handle things. We had a piano moving issue this time round and Kurt was good about sticking to our schedule so that we could accommodate movers of this baby grand. In past years, I was convinced that the room he painted beige actually still had a hint of green on the walls, despite two coats on the original light green color. Kurt willingly came out quickly and repainted the whole room. I now think that the green tint was just an optical illusion on my part. Kurt sometimes finds important things I didn’t realize needed treating, like that the people I had hired to seal the bathroom tiles omitted sealing the very top of the tile, thus providing room for water to go behind the tiles and cause water damage. I am glad I can have somebody like Kurt who I trust help me out with all this painting

This was the second time I’ve hired Kurt. He is very friendly and professional. I wasn’t sure what kind of stain I wanted to use, but Kurt recommended an excellent product that we are really happy with. The project continued longer than expected but the weather in the Summer, particularly in August was not conducive for exterior staining. I would hire Kurt again.

I've hired NewDay for every paint job for the past 10 years. They are wonderful to work with, and do a great job. They scraped the popcorn ceilings in our large basement so we now have beautiful, smooth ceilings. They painted the basement and most of the upstairs after abig remodeling project. They even painted huge commercial work space at work. I will hire them again in the future.

Kurt did a great all-around job. The painting and staining was all excellent, professional quality. We trusted Kurt with our house key so that he could come and leave as he needed while working on the project even when we were not at home. Other friends and family have also hired Kurt and he's always done an outstanding job and is a great communicator and very prompt. We had a lot of trim, wainscoting and ceiling beams painted "antique white" in our 1908 Victorian dining room. Kurt used a stain over paint technique to transform the ceiling beams into an amazing rich mahogany wood grain look with no stripping/sanding/etc. required. He spent a significant amount of time making sure everything was perfect, including caulking cracks and imperfections in our wainscoting and trim. We also had a new wood patio door in our kitchen with an existing stained header and a lot of varieties of wood and stains throughout the room. We were concerned that we would not be able to properly match the door stain to the existing header and trim color. Kurt did an outstanding job testing the stains and finding a perfect match. We really couldn't be happier and it was a big relief. They also did a great job of cleaning up every night and moving equipment out of the way. At the end of the project, he left our home very clean (to be honest, probably cleaner than before he arrived!).

Kurt and Chris were great. Because of the amount of prep/repair work that needed to be done there was significant dust created. However, they were extremely careful. My husband commented on how clean they were. Couldn't be happier.

Never replied to inquiry for an estimate. Even if booked an unable to take on new work, would expect a response.

Excellent! Kurt and Chris are great listeners, they partner with you to understand what you are looking for, and you can tell they take pride in their work. For our rooms the finished product was an awesome transformation. We couldn't be happier.

Was very happy with the job. Kurt was very professional and I really enjoyed how well they cleaned up after the job was completed.

For starters, Kurt did a masterful job in his painting and staining finishing work. Kurt is extremely considerate and tidy in his work and very trustworthy and friendly. I frequently gave him a key to our home and left him alone working with our cats while we were away. One cannot leave their home in better hands than with New Day, nor get a better finished product. Prior to the finishing work, Kurt’s plastering fixed a lot of imperfections in the walls and ceiling and the end result was seamless – you couldn’t tell the areas that had been patched at all. I highly recommend Kurt to do both plastering and painting and will hire him again without hesitation. On the exterior project, Kurt wisely recommended a deck-over paint due to the high traffic area of these back steps, which are used multiple times a day. The finished product looked incredible and the area has held up quite nicely to all the foot traffic.

Excellent! Kurt and his employee Chris are very professional. We were flexible in our time line and he was able to fit us in during a bad weather period that limited his outdoor availability. Kurt provided a detailed bid, managed expectations well, communicated clearly and there were no surprises. Courteous and extremely customer focused. The project only had minor overages that were clearly communicated and reasonable. Kurt offered guidance when asked and obtained all materials and paint after given directions on color, brand, and type. There were times he or his partner were not available at the start time, but in all instances Kurt or Chris called to indicate when they would be arriving and met those revised times. I would happily use them on another interior project or an exterior project based on the quality and results from this job.

I contacted Kurt who asked me to send my address via text. I followed up, he had forgotten. I followed up again and was ignored. I would have appreciated an answer instead of wasting my time.

I purchased the deal, and received an email quickly acknowledging the deal and asking for information on our project. Although the initial communication took place promptly after the purchase, there have been multiple attempts to pin NewDay down to a date. Many attempts to schedule through text, email, and by phone (with voice mail message) have been unsuccessful. At one point, I did speak with the individual and he acknowledged he was back-logged, had a big project that was wrapping up and could get to it in either latter March or early to mid April. As requested, I verbally conveyed dates that worked (several, as a matter of fact), and after no confirmation, texted and email again. I called in early April for one last attempt to give NewDay one last chance (he was a nice guy, just unresponsive) to schedule. I called, left a message, and have yet to get a response. I'm not holding my breath, and will be arranging to get the work completed by someone else.

I was very impressed with NewDay Painting. We were moving into a new house and needed to have a room painted on short notice. I called Kurt and he was able to meet me at the house that same day. It was a complicated situation since we needed to have an old basement area scraped and repainted. The work started the next day and was completed right on schedule. Even though this was "only" a downstairs utility area, they paid close attention to the details and did it right. That included the clean up which was virtually spotless. They absolutely exceeded my expectations and I would use them again without hesitation. Highly recommend.

NEWDAY LLC was recommended to us by friends who had used the services for interior painting in their home. Kurt came to our home and met with us to look at each room to provide a bid. The bid was done efficiently, was highly detailed, and seemed reasonable to us. Through the bidding process, Kurt recommended types of paint and the difference between, "flat, satin, eggshell", etc. We took his advice and were very happy with the end results! We trusted Kurt and gave him a front door key to our home. While Kurt and Chris were painting, they were respectful about timelines, and were pleasant and cheerful while doing the work. They cleaned up each day exceptionally well. The wall repair was done extremely well and the painting was detailed and amazing. They went through each room at the end with me, the owner, to assure that every possible spot had been covered and that my husband and I were satisfied with every aspect of the repair and look of each room. They vacuumed and cleaned up everything, leaving things better than the "before". On a side note, we were in Wisconsin at our lake cabin and heard that hail was on its' way to Edina, where we lived. We had left my husband's new car out of the garage. Kurt had our house key and our kids were not available, so we called him and he offered to drive over to our house and put our car in the garage. This was not in our contract, but a bonus when your painter is so trustworthy! I would highly recommend NEWDAY LLC painters!!

I have hired Kurt and New Day for multiple exterior and interior projects over the last four years and am always extremely gratified by their level of professionalism, meticulousness, craft, and strong communication skills. For this project New Day needed to sand, stain, and finish several hundred feet of reclaimed Douglas Fir to be installed in my family's Victorian home. New Day perfectly matched the stain to the existing fir already installed in the home. We also had bought three antique stained glass windows that we wanted to re-purpose to replace block glass above bathroom doorways etc. New Day carefully stripped, sanded, and stained the frames of these delicate windows which now look like works of art in the house. For the past four years I have only hired New Day for any interior or exterior painting or staining projects we require for our house and will continue to do so. New Day's prices are very reasonable and the finished product is without peer.

Kurt and his team did an excellent job! I chose him because of his reputation for quality and great communication skills. I always knew when he would arrive and what was going to be done that day. I also liked how he did the little extras and offered to put up new house numbers and a temperature gage for me. He also helped me by filing down some of my hard to open windows so they would work easily. Kurt went above and beyond on my project. It was not your typical spray the paint on and go job. Much time was taken to do the job right.

They did a great job. Communication was fantastic. They repaired several holes and patched several areas.

Kurt responded within 24 hours of my initial call. He had done some painting for us in the past, so we knew he was reliable. He gave us an estimate for the cost of painting a living room, dining room, upstairs bedroom, porch floor, hallway/stairwell and ceiling. There were a lot of tiny cracks in the walls that needed to be skim coated, and there was a radiator as well that needed painting. During the process, I decided a wall in another room as well as some trim needed touching up as well. If I'm recalling correctly, the painting took about three and a half days with two guys working. The walls that were cracked look perfect, and the painting was excellent. The walls look completely new and fresh. Kurt was always easy to talk with, clear about what he'd do, and the timeline and estimates were exact. We definitely would recommend him.

They were a little backed up due to the special offered on Angies list but when they finaly able to get to my project every thing went great. They did an excellent job.

Kurt and his associate Chris did a great job for us. They were very professional and wonderful to work with. They always left the space they were working in very tidy and were very polite.
