The process was better than I expected, and time frame met my requests

Barak and his crew were professional, prompt,and very accommodating -- including our need to have them work around electricians who were installing a light on the deck that day. The final result is great. The deck was looking very weathered, mossy, etc. Now it is clean and well-stained. We're having a BBQ this weekend, so I'm delighted that we have such a great looking deck.

Overall, they did a great job! I initially chose a color that I thought would look good on my deck, but Barak called me the night before they came to talk about potentially changing colors. He thought the color I chose would be too light for the type/condition of the wood on my deck. He was right; the alternate color looks great! It was an extremely hassle-free transaction, and their quote was about $100 less than another company who bidded on the project. I'd definitely recommend them to others.

Our experience with this company was great. Barak responded to our request for a quote and information immediately and was able to restore our deck to a point at which it could use semi-transparent stain even after I ruined it the year before with solid stain that didn't last. Even with the extra time and sanding that was required, Barak was extremely helpful and the quoted price didn't change. I definitely would use this company again.

Barak's employees did a great job. The power washing got off years of dirt and discoloration and layers of home owner applied treatments. It took awhile before they were able to come back and finish the job, but again it was due to the weather.The deck is vastly improved over the way it looked before. We will probably have to replace this almost 30 year old deck soon, but in the meantime Barak has made it possible for us to enjoy a freshened up and presentable place to relax and entertain friends. It went very well. Barak was professional and personable. He finished within the time frame we had agreed upon ( we were lucky the weather finally cooperated). I want to thank Barak for his attention to my expectations and beyond (he helped me on a problem I had on my front porch).

We had an estimate and work done within 1 week of my email request for estimate. The service provider said he wished he had done a before picture because it came out so well. The siding looks new again. The service provider even moved furniture off the deck (that would have been too heavy for me to lift) and moved the grill so he could clean under it, unlike sometimes when you get your carpets cleaned and they clean around the furniture.

The fence looks great! Will definitely use again for deck maintenance.

They did a great job. The deck looks great - a 20yr old deck now looks brand new. Debated doing the job myself and glad I had them do it - turned out much better than had I done it. Very pleased.

Barak came out on a Saturday to give estimates to myself and several others in our townhome association. When hired, he fit us in as soon as weather conditions permitted. He worked efficiently and carefully, taking pride in his workmanship. The end result was a beautifully stained deck and porch!

Excellent! Barak came out and did a personal estimate as our job was a bit more complicated and had more parts than most. He came one week and power washed (took two people all day, and he also did our paver driveway). After this, the deck looked fantastic. We then had rain for a few days, but he came back as soon as possible with a crew of two additional guys who spend the day staining. They did a great job, our poorly maintained and dirty deck looks great and has many more years of life.

Barak from New Again Deck gave me a price quote over the phone and then showed up at our pre-arranged time and pressure-washed the deck (even though it was only in the high 30's on the day we had pre-arranged). He must have been freezing! The deck looks almost new again. Barak was friendly, courteous and clean. He was in and out in less than an hour. I definitely plan to use New Again Deck the next time I need to clean my composite deck.

Excellent! Very pleased with the quality of the work and attention to detail. Barak (the owner) returned my e-mail request for an estimate the same day, and provided the estimate--(which was exactly what he charged in the end, and was very reasonable)--based on pictures I sent by e-mail the same day as well. Very convenient. When my deck and fence need refinishing in the the future I will definitely be contacting Barak.

A great experience. The work was done very carefully to avoid any splashing on nearby doors and walls. The pressure wash was extremely thorough but did not raise the grain on the wood. They did two coats of stain and the deck, railings, and grape arbor look great. They also pressure-washed and stained a porch glider at no extra charge.

I called asking for a quote for how much it would cost. He came out within 3-4 days after I called and looked the deck. He filled out the estimate and stuck it inside the door and left. He came to power wash it 2 weeks after we requested service. He was very helpful answering my questions and letting me know what I should be concerned about with the deck. Such as stay off the deck until he came back. He also washed the siding and let me know that I should wash the siding at least once a month to keep the deck nice. He also recommended that I blow the leaves off the deck prior to rain or snow fall so that the deck stays nice. He came back to the staining about a week about the cleaning. He was very quick and efficient. He informed me that if I kept the deck nice, I would only have to have it cleaned and stained every 3 years. At the end of staining, he asked if there were any other questions he could answer. I appreciated his willingness to answer questions.

I requested a "virtual estimate" via email as directed on the website. An estimate was quickly returned by email. I delayed while waiting for additional estimates and Barak called to check with me. He explained his procedures and experience and offered general deck maintenance advice. When I decided to refinish the deck myself we talked by phone and, while he would use a stain I had on hand, he strongly endorsed a better product. He then offered to prep the deck (power wash and brighten) for about half price, so I had him do it. The deck was so clean that I called him and immediately asked that he finish the job by staining the deck. He was pretty busy, but returned in four days and stained the deck. I had chosen a stain color he had on hand and the job went faster than he had expected, which allowed him to reduce the final price to three-quarters of the quoted price! The deck looks great. I am ecstatic that I had him do the job rather than doing it myself.

I found Barak on Angie's List. His website allows for an "e-bid" wherein you send a few photos of your deck and he sends you a bid. We set a date, he came when I was gone and cleaned/stripped the deck. During the next several days he called me to discuss the deck. He was honest and open about what he does. He stated the washing and treating the deck is the hard part (correct method of pressure washing and toxic chemicals that can burn your skin are used) and that staining is easy. He offered to teach me how to stain my deck "the right way" and I accepted. He came 15 min early with all the supplies (I purchased the stain although he offered to buy it at his contractor rate) and we got started. I basically learned how to do what once took me 10 hours with my wife helping in 3 hours. He taught us the basics of protecting the landscape, protecting the iron railings and protecting the patio below. The correct prep and tools go a long way and are not expensive. He and his colleague finished our deck and left the site clean. He offered that in the future when we need the deck redone (ironwood doesn't take stain of any kind very well due to the density of the wood therefor we will probably have to do this yearly or every other year) he will do the toxic cleaning part and we can do the staining. We will save 1/2to 2/3 off his bid if we do it this way. I'm sure it varies by deck based on the condition. He of course would do the entire project too if we wished. It was very nice to have a business owner so friendly, open and honest about what they do to share their tricks for a good job done. I will be having Barak back our whenever our deck needs attention!

In May, 2011, Barak came to my house and gave me an estimate. He told me that I needed to wait until August to have the work done because the deck was new and needed to dry out more. He called me back in August and we set up a date and he did the work. Great job!

I got an estimate in June, decided to prceed in July and the work was completed on two separate visits by Barack Brodini in August. The deck now looks much better! The job was well done.

The initial quote was done after I contacted the company via email. Barak came and left the quote within 2 days of my request. The job was done very well. Barak was very professional and easy to work with, and the final project looks great. He had overestimated the amount of stain necessary and took the amount of the extra off the project quote, so I only had to pay for what was used. Looks almost like a new deck.
