The area of the ice dam was steep and Barack stated he could not reach the area of the roof to work on the ice dam. Also he did not advise us prior to the work date that he would need to have us turn on the water to our outside faucets. The closest outside faucet was on the other side of a fence that could not be opened due to the deep snowfall we've received. Better communication from him about this would have prevented an unnecessary trip for him out to our house since we would have known from the start he could not provide service.

Weather played a factor . Storm caused them to miss appointment date. Sub zero weather temperatures caused problems with equipment. We were pleased to have ice off house they tried very hard to get the job done in a timely manor.

They're very professional and worked very hard for the time they were here. The work was very good.

I gave the provider a map of the areas where I wanted the snow removed and the work was performed efficiently and correctly.

Ice d*** was removed. Windows were covered on some film after which was annoying and not indicated as a result of having the ice d*** removed. But, they showed up on time and the owner called to give me a recap and recommendations upon completion. I am still trying to figure out how I got charged. I would say go over that part first. Over all I feel like although expensive, the job was done just fine.

Barack really came through and helped me with what I considered to be an emergency situation. He worked out his schedule during the day and was able to come to my place earlier than he first estimated. He explained upfront what he would do, what it would cost and his crew got to work right away. I saved a lot of time by removing all the snow from the roof before the crew arrived. He told me that my ice dam was not that bad and they would have it done in 1-1.25 hrs. His estimate was right on. He honored the Angie's List discount and overall I considered it a fair price. If you are seeking help with ice dams, availability is the #1 factor... especially if you already have water coming in the house. Pricing per hour ranges from 250-400 per hour.. but that may be for 1-3 man crews. Although expensive, it is worth every penny considering the damage that you may avoid by getting them taken care of right away. I learned my lesson and will be doing everything possible to avoid having ice dams in the future. .

I found a leak in my home in the late afternoon after coming home from work. I called New Again Deck Renewal, and Barak was very kind and helpful, even offering to move his schedule around given that we had an ongoing leak. I ended up finding an interim solution, but will be definitely calling New Again Deck Renewal back this spring for some fencing and deck work. Thanks!

Called New Again Deck Renewal Inc. this morning and spoke with Barak. I explained the service I needed and he said he would call me in an hour to let me know if his crew could do it today. An hour later he called and told me his crew would come by my house between 3 and 4pm. At 3:30pm the two representatives came and saw my roof. They asked me if I knew how much it would cost and I told them Barak had already explained the costs. I also told them I had a 15% discount from Angie's List. They did the work in an hour and a half and did a great job! They were very professional and thorough. Thanks!

Called New Again after we discovered that they did snow/ice removal because we have used them for deck cleaning and painting and were previously impressed. Called on Tuesday (2/25) and they asked if we currently had water coming in. I said, not currently and they said they would check their schedule and get back to us. Called first thing Wednesday morning (2/26) and we set up a tentative time for Saturday afternoon. On Saturday, they were quite late, so I called the office and the other job they were on was taking much longer, so they asked if they could come Sunday, which was fine. They showed up Sunday as planned, went right to work and were able to remove the ice dams that had been causing leaks the week before. The only concern I had was that they use pressurized heated water so we ended up with some ice on our sidewalk and driveway, but that ice won't cause leaks in the house. Overall we were very pleased - especially considering it was below zero when they were doing the work.

The provider did an excellent job staying in contact with me. Made the initial appointment, called to explain his emergency, and tried to reschedule. The weather was almost 40 degrees for several days, and the ice issue went away. Provider was 100% understanding in this matter.. No complaints. Just no longer needed the service after the appointment delay.

This was the 4th or 5th person we called today since we need some immediate work done on a property and he said that he doesn't want to do the work on a Saturday. I can understand not wanting to work on the weekend either but then you shouldn't advertise "Same Day/Emergency Service" nor should you have your hours of operation be 7 days a week when you don't want the job. I guess I can see why no one else is picking up their phones because they are out doing the work today. He WAS courteous and polite on the phone but I'm just unhappy that this emergency job is being declined.

Barak emailed and we set up an approximate time for the service. He called the next day to say he would be in the area, and to ask if he could provide the service that day. He completed the job as scheduled, and stayed a little longer to finish the ice dam removal at no additional cost. I purchased the ice dam removal service during an Angie's Special Deal at $140 for 2 hours. He did a great job!

We were very pleased with the service. They went above and beyond by applying salt to the driveway and walkways. Would definitely use them in the future

It went really well. Barak called me and set up an appointment in a timely manner. Was realistic about what else it might happen and what it would possibly cost in addition to the deal. His quote was very realistic and below what others quotes I had had done. My ice dam corrected itself before the appointment took place and I was no longer in need of his service. I emailed him that I would no longer need the help and he was pleasant about it. I had a good experience with him even tho I did not need the service and would hire him for future work if I needed it.

They did not solve my problem but they could have charged me several hundred dollars to take snow off my roof even though ice dams was not the cause of my leaking. It is so great to know there are such honest companies out there that don't take advantage of their customers. I highly recommend these guys!

I was very impressed with the fact that the work could not be performed so the owner suggested I request a refund as he wasn't able to perform the work. He could have just taken the money, but he was so very honest and I can't tell you how much I appreciate that.

When he arrived, he looked over the area and then explained what needed to be done and asked if that is what we wanted them to do. Then they went to work removing snow from the roof to get to the ice dams. They removed the ice dams and explained to us how to prevent them in the future and then cleaned up the area, put their tools away and left. We are very satisfied with the work done. They were very professional. I would recommend them.

When I looked up at my kitchen ceiling last weekend, my heart sank. Water marks and bulging sheet-rock. I knew we had a serious ice dam, but we've had them before and gotten away with it. (Maybe?) Someone must have been looking over my shoulder because that very day Angie's List sent me a notification for a DEAL. Two hours of ice dam removal; $140.00. It all seemed very complicated, so instead I called my roofer. He wanted $250 an hour with a minimum of $375. I don't have that kind of money lying around just for the heck of it, so I decided that I could cope with an internet offer. I was nervous about having to pay before I had even talked to the provider and gotten a feel for whether or not they would be competent and professional. But $375 is a lot of money. $140 -- not so much. I grabbed it. I work full-time, 5 days a week, so I have very little flexibility for home maintenance. I mentioned that in my email to who I now know are New Again Deck Renewal. Barak got in touch with me promptly to let me know that he would look at his schedule and see if he could match my possible week-day dates. Two days went by and I started getting a little nervous. But in those two days, he had managed to re-work his schedule so that he could do me on the weekend. I was so relieved not to have to weasel time off from my job. He showed up exactly on time. There was a lot of futzing to be done because my outdoor faucet was frozen. He did all he could do to open it up, but it just couldn't be done. So we had to move the project to the other faucet, which fortunately was free. He stayed calm, cool, collected and kind during a lot of nerve-racking horsing around on the part of the homeowner (me). They have all the right equipment, nerves of steel on icy ladders, and total professionalism -- even with the time crunch I had caused -- to be sure that the job was done right. I hope some day I need a deck and then a deck renewal so that I can hire them again. I'm not silly enough (quite yet) to be hoping for another ice dam. They even gave me their professional advice on how to avoid future ice dams, so I may never see them again. All I can do is recommend them to everyone I know personally and hope that my review brings them some new business. If their deck renewals are as professional and painless as their ice dam removals, they are the best in the business.

Work was performed well & quickly. Paid more for the job but Barak was VERY HONEST and said that the time/work needed would not cost as much as I had paid. Very professional, easy to work with and honest which is very important to me. Thank you Barak!

The company was easy to work with and was punctual. They do not charge for set-up time which took about 15 minutes They only charge for whatever time it takes them to complete the work. I felt they worked hard and were professional. I would hire them again.

The ice dam was removed. However, the apron below the dam (and in front of my back door) was left with a film of ice. Barak told me he had run out of ice melt on his previous job. Communication on timing could have been better. We agreed to a date by e-mail, but not a time. I wasn't called about timing until 8:47 AM the day of the service.
