I won't be returning--ever. I was mildly surprised that my items were ready for pickup so quickly after I dropped them off. I was even more surprised when, as I was driving home, a sickeningly sweet odor filled the car. I soon realized the obnoxious odor was coming from inside the zippered bags containing the blanket and three sheets I'd just picked up from Mulberrys. As soon a I got home, I called them to ask how a very intense laundry detergent odor had managed to get on my sheets and blankets. I was promptly told that they didn't know what was done "at the plant," and as such, they couldn't tell me if cleaning them again "at the plant" would remove the obnoxious odor or make it worse. In other words, the language on the back of the receipt is meaningless, in that it says they'll redo their work, no questions asked, if a customer is dissatisfied. Implied in that statement is that they'll fix the problem. That bears no resemblance to the "we can't fix it because we don't know what we're doing" response I that I received. Within minutes of the futile call to Mulberrys, I called my usual local dry cleaners, explaining the odor problem--likely from excessive perfumes in the laundry detergent or a softener used by Mulberry's "plant." My local cleaners said, sure, bring them over, we'll clean them. When I dropped off the obnoxious smelling bedding at my local cleaners, the woman behind the counter said she could smell it as she walked from the far end of the counter to the drop of area near the door. In a few days, I picked up the three sheets and blanket, and not one had any odor remaining. That told me all I needed to know about the type of service Mulberry's provides: the type that I won't ever use again.
Description of Work: I dropped off some laundry, consisting of 3 twin size cotton sheets and a full size cotton/poly blanket. This was a test run of this company, as I'd never used them for dry cleaning or laundry. I gave them things to clean that were easy to get right: no stain removal needed; just launder the sheets and blanket and press the sheets.

Ms. [Member Name Removed], I am truly sorry to hear about the issue with your order. If there has been any mistake made in cleaning, we are always happy to redo it free of charge. I don't know why any of our team members would tell you otherwise, but I will speak to our management team about this right away.

The clothing came out fine. The down items had some sort of chemical residue on them (it smelled like chemical and I now question their claim of using natural detergents) and stunk so bad that it took me days to air out my car and house after I realized what was causing the smell. On further inspection the items were wet/oily. I returned them and they sent them back to "the plant". When I returned the second time the issue had not improved and in fact the pillow had many new stains on it. When I returned the third time the comforter was OK but the pillow was the same. I was given a refund for the pillow and they sent it back again to see if it can be salvaged. They were reluctant to offer any other credit etc. even though I had returned 3 times. They said they prefer to just send it back, which wasn't helping. I can only assume that they don't have a quality assurance system, as anyone who would have looked at or smelled these items would have realized there was a problem. I interacted with maybe 3-4 staff over this time and nobody ever apologized. The atmosphere generally was not welcoming. With the exception of 1 friendly staff person the others seemed put off by helping me resolve the issue.

It was a horrible experience. My son is in ROTC in high school and I brought his uniform in to dry clean. They said they would do it within 24 hours. They did not and they lost his jacket, which is like the most important part. So, they promised it within a 24 hour time period and then they lost it and in order for us to get it in time for my son's military review we had to, my husband had to drive out to someplace in Roseville and get it. There was multiple promises made that they did not fulfill. They were actually kind of rude about it. They wound up giving it to us for free because of the whole fiasco plus us telling them that we were not going to pay for it.

The service was a nightmare all the way through. We set up an account with Mulberry's online and kept getting an error message. I called in to request pickup and they confirmed the creation of my account, and informed me of pickup days for my street as Monday and Thursday. I placed my coats on hanger on front door for two pickup days and they were still there when I got home. I called to follow-up and they sent a truck out off-cycle to pick up my bags on a Tuesday. After that I didn't receive the dry cleaning back, nor heard from the company. I called three weeks later and they had no record of my clothes or account. They lost the bags. After many phone calls (a lot un-returned) and 6 months of patience working with the company, 2 of the 6 were found and returned. 2 more were found when we went to their operations site and looked through the lost and found. 2 are still missing. When I asked them in October (6 months after initial service) for compensation for our two lost coats worth a total of $500, they denied any liability and refused any remediation. I have sent them formal emails to get their stance in writing, but they no longer respond to me. I am extremely disappointed that a high-end dry cleaner could take this stance after losing a customer's personal effects.

When I picked up the dry cleaning I questioned the total charged. I had not been told at the time of dropping off the dry cleaning that there would be an additional charge of $2.99 for 2 of the coats for depiling and delinting. Then I was overcharged $3.00 for each of the 2 coats. The clerk had to make a phone call since the clerk had already processed my credit card. I have been told that I will receive a credit of $6.00 (waiting for next statement for credit). I would very much recommend that the price is completely discussed at the time of dropping off the items.

The area is very, very clean and inviting. The big issue I had with my previous cleaner was they seemed unable to press shirt collars properly. Mulberry's was exceptional at pressing these correctly such that they are "propped up" and look much more professional. The hangers that they arrive on are definitely a plus as well!

We chose them because I liked the green cleaning and the wooden hangers. In general, the quality of the cleaning was ok. But they are horribly unreliable. I could never count on when they would come to pick up dry cleaning. I contacted the company several times and they said they had worked with the driver and it was fixed, but it never got any better so I finally gave up. When I sent them an email telling them I was firing them because of their lack of service they never even responded.

TERRIBLE. It is December and I still don't have the pants or reimbursement to replace them. It took them several weeks to admit they lost my pants. Then they called to say they had them. I stopped to pick them up and the pants were supposedly lost AGAIN. After I requested reimbursement they contacted me to say the pants were found again. I requested they be delivered to my house. Pants have yet to show up. This is my LAST use of Mulberrys. Their quality and inventory control are TERRIBLE. Several years ago they ruined an expensive suit and ended up reimbursing me for it. I waited several years before trying them again and things have NOT IMPROVED. I WILL NEVER USE MULBERRYS AGAIN. Amazing this company's founder is a former management consultant yet he can't figure out how to resolve simple problems within his own company. Go figure.

We have a lot of drycleaning each month, and I've gone back and forth between Tonka Cleaners and Mulberrys. I took the most recent load of clothes to Mulberrys. They lost a $200 Burberry shirt of mine and do not show it being dropped off. This is the second time they have lost an item of clothing. I have a $600 credit on my account because they lost an Ermengildo Zegna sweater last month and cannot locate it. Each time I go into the store, I have to identify myself as being at a particular address and NOT an individual with the same first and last name at a different address. Before I discovered there was another person with the same first and last name, they never asked which person I was and apparently just picked one from the list, so often when I would go to pick up our clothes, they would not have anything logged under my name and would look at me strangely and say "there's nothing here for you". Right now I'm waiting the requisite two weeks for Mulberrys to locate my missing shirt. We'll see what happens. Keep your receipts and verify in the store that you get the clothes you dropped off. Or better yet, go to another cleaner. I'll be asking for a check instead of accepting any more services in payment for the clothing they lost.

My wife switched to Mulberry's b/c she felt it was more earth friendly. We did home pick-up/drop-off. They were the only group that we use for dry cleaning. They lost my suit which I bought a few years ago for $400+ plus a shirt that I ordered from a French company and had shipped to the states.

I dropped off dry cleaning at Mulberrys on December 6 in my delivery bag and they still have not delivered it (six weeks later). Every time I call to check on them they say it's "out for delivery". I have been waiting for six weeks to receive an item that takes one day to dry clean. I leave messages for the customer care team and my calls are never returned. I am extremely concerned with the ethics of this company as it appears they have lost or stolen my item and refuse to give me an explanation of where it is.

One of the two shirts I brought in to be laundered came back with stains on it. It looked like they washed it in red cool aid. They redid it four times and the stains wouldn't come out. It was a result of them pressing the shirt before it was dry. The very last time they returned it to me it had additional stains on it. The finish from the wooden hanger it comes on transferred to the collar of the shirt. At that point I submitted a claim for the shirt and got the run around (for brevity) for weeks. After submitting a complaint to the BBB, they finally responded and I received a check for reimbursment of the ruined shirt. The entire process took nine weeks. It was a terrible experience and I don't recommend that you use their company at any location since all the work is done in one place.

I started using Mullberrys in Edina because of the reviews i read about their great service. However, about 8 weeks ago when I went to pickup my laundry a shirt was missing. The clerk told me it was still at the plant and would be back the following week. Now, 8 weeks later, I still don't have my shirt back. In the interim I have called and emailed their customer service several times, and on 2 different occaisions while I was picking up subsequent ordres, the clerk has promised to email the manager and copy me on the email. After tryining these various methods to contact customer service I HAVE HEARD NOTHING. Not even a message or response to say they're looking into it. I sense that they are simply waiting for me to forget about it. Since they make such an issue out of being "green" and having great service and they have proven to me that they have no service, it makes me question how "green" they are. Today I have another order to pickup, but unike other visits I will not be dropping off any additional orders. Its time to find a cleaner that cares about my business.

We used to use Anderson Cleaners who apparently decided to no longer do pickup/delivery service and our business was transferred to Mulberry Cleaners. No notice, nothing being mailed to us etc. When they began service I initially liked the idea of eco frendly cleaning even though they are higher priced than other cleaners (didn't know such a service existed). Recently however, beginning in April 2012, we began noticing missing buttons, buttons being replaced with buttons that were too large to get thru the button hole, thread baren cuffs, and holes in the shirts. These are expensive shirts my husband has laundered by Mulberry's. It took weeks of me leaving messages on Mulberrys customer care line and emails before the manager finally got back to me. (No one answers the phone - you can only leave messages). After talking with the manager I then sent him the shirts and he credited our account. About a month goes by; we begin having problems again. We are receiving someone else's dry cleaning in our garment bag. These are promptly sent back to Mulberrys. All clothing is identified by a bar code label that they adhere to the garment so how this can happen is beyond me. In May a cuff on my husbands dress pants is all wacked out - not sure what they did - but we took them back to the store where we originally purchased (about 6 months prior so they have been dry cleaned several times) and had alterations done. They looked at the pant leg and thought "what the he??". We paid for the alteration to fix the hem ($13). The next day my husband goes to put on a shirt and again another brand new shirt that was only worn twice has a loose cuff button; at closer inspection - yes the big gapping unrepairable hole. I have sent an email to the manager stating that we will not be able to continue if this is the service we can expect. We can't afford to be continually replace clothing. Appears I won't be able to drive to the location to make a complaint to a non caring customer service person as the Roseville location is a processing plant only. Finally I get a call from Ann on 8.16.12 (been trying to get a call from them since May). She instructed me to send the shirt back to them with a note in a seperate bag - I was able to get it out with that days pickup. I received a call the following Monday from the manager; he called me and left voicemails on my cell phone 2 days in a row but somehow I never heard my phone ring (strange). I called him back and left a message stating that I was going to be leaving the country for a few weeks and if he could get back to me asap. Never heard from him. 9.24.12 Last week I was surprised to see a Mulberry garment bag hanging outside. Ticket attached to the bag states it is the shirt that was sent back to Mulberrys on 8.16.12. However, the bag contained someone else's Navy blue pants. They are charging my credit card for the laundry of my shirt when it was sent back to Mulberrys clean and then its not even the shirt in the bag. This is not the first time we received someone else's clothing. Last time we just sent it back; I should have checked the billing receipt cuz I beleive I was charged for someone else's dry cleaning. I sent an email to the manager again last week explaining the mixup in clothing and I am still waiting for resolution to my damaged - now missing (?) shirt. Am I suppose to now take inventory of what goes out and what comes back? The employees are non caring. The manager is non existent. Issues do not get resolved. Clothing gets damaged or lost.

Be wary of Mulberry's on Lyndale Ave., in Minneapolis. You might not be able to get your clothes back if you want to pay with plastic. I had a silk tank and jacket cleaned for a special summer event. When it came time to pick up my outfit, the store's computers were down and unable to do credit card payments. I was told to try back later or pay with cash. This was late in the day, however. I didn't have time to "try again" and I wasn't carrying enough cash to cover the cost. I am not an unfamiliar customer (our family is registered in their computer and I always pay with credit card), yet, there was no offer to take the credit card number and let me have my clothes. Nor, in recognition of their failure, was there an offer made to deliver the clothes - a service they offer under normal circumstances. The man behind the counter simply shrugged his shoulders and put the outfit back on the conveyor rack. I had to leave empty-handed, without the clothes I was counting on. I was disappointed, frustrated and panicky. If I had had the time I would have run to an ATM and brought back cash to release my clothes from being held hostage. Four days later, when I was able to go back to retrieve my clothing, their cash registers worked fine. A different man was behind the counter and when I told him what had happened, how frustrating it had been and how I was inconvenienced, I just got a curt, emotionless," I'm sorry." When I reminded him that this was their fault and not mine, I just got another too-quick and mechanical, "I'm sorry." Even when another employee in back verified my story, there was the same automatic and insincere, "I'm sorry." I never received an explanation as to why the situation wasn't handled differently, or assurances that it wouldn't happen like this again. This is not the first service problem I have experienced at Mulberry's, but it's the most egregious. When it's merely blankets not being ready when they say they will be, I accept the explanation that it's a mix-up and let it pass. But this episode tips the scales for me. Other environmentally-friendly cleaners operate in the city; I'll go there. Mulberry's failed miserably in customer service. They were neither helpful nor understanding when it was important to me, and when the problem, clearly, was on their account.

I was initially thrilled to discover this appealing cleaners. Although the closest location was something of a drive, it seemed worth it for the "green" orientation, the excellent customer service, and the absolutely fabulous store experience. The environment is something out of Pottery Barn, the employees are exceedingly polite and charming in little aprons. The wooden hangers and high-quality garmet bags are a nice touch. Sadly, after trying many times, I've had to give up on this cleaners thanks to incredibly awful pressing. The cleaning itself is decent, but my suits and blouses were consistently pressed so badly that the employees were embarrassed when I pointed this out. This last time, I had to request that the same three items be re-done three times before they were decently pressed. I wish I could say this cleaners is great... but I cannot recommend them at all.
Description of Work: I used Mulberry's cleaners for about four months, with a load of dry cleaning and shirt laundering about once/week. (I also used their tailoring service several times, which was excellent).

Fantastic value - I don't know why anyone would use another service! I dropped off my first order at the St. Louis Park location, and was pleasantly surprised by the clean, pleasant and fresh-feeling environment. It was vastly different than any other dry cleaner I'd used before. The walls are a nice, modern color and they have coffee and water available. When I picked up my order, I learned that they use high-quality wooden hangers that may be returned for reuse, or kept. I absolutely love the fact that they are environmentally responsible, convenient, yet cost the same as traditional dry cleaners. I have found dealing with traditional dry cleaners to be a chore - I dreaded going in because they are kind of run-down and gross places, plus I didn't like the chemical odor left on my clothing. Mulberry's has transformed me from a 4x/year user (I'd have months of dry cleaning to bring in because I dreaded going.) to a 2x/week user, and has made my life a little easier. Genius concept!
Description of Work: Drop off/pick up dry cleaning, then added home delivery and pick up service. I also had them restore a leather Coach purse that was severely water-stained. (It sat in a pool of water at a bar.) They did a great job on the purse and the delivery/pick up service and auto-bill makes it very convenient for us. Given all of the quality and environmentally-responsible practices they provide, I thought they'd be more expensive than traditional dry cleaners. They're not!

I have been using Mulberrys for a year now. I am still not quite sure why it costs $3 to clean a shirt in the Twin Cities when the rest of the country charges $2 or less, but at least for that price Mulberrys does a great job. They make sure you have collar stays and return the shirts on a sturdy, wooden hanger (not a flimsy, unwieldy wire one). On the rare occasion when there is a problem, they promptly resolve it. I have also used them to tailor a few garments and, again, the service was superb. I also like that the convenient hours since I am often working early or late. My only other observations are that the store is always clean and well maintained, and that the employees are always friendly.

Mulberry's does excellent work. Green practices, reuse of wood hangers and bags give peace of mind. Always friendly staff and easy drop-off/pickup. Clothes are always returned in impeccable condition, giving me faith in their cleaning process - they take great care in their work. The free coffee is a nice touch in the mornings! The prices can get a bit steep on some dry cleaning items, but laundry prices are competitive. Would like to see more dry cleaning coupon offers. Their turnaround time isn't as fast as some other cleaners in the area, but it's clear in their quality they're not providing a rush job.
