Monarch Painting

!Estimate visit was on schedule. The two man team was scheduled out 4-6 weeks but put us on the schedule as soon as they were able. Every visit was punctual and as ours is an old house, they approached each step in the process very methodically and with care. Plaster, repairs and painting is all high quality and fair for the price. Because they worked so h****** what we deemed a rather problematic area, we didn't even ask for the discount! Would hire again happily

Our little roofed deck/porch was badly in need of restraining. We had done it ourselves in the past, but just didn't feel up to it this year. Left a couple of message with contractors, and Monarch was the only one who returned our call. Hunter came on a Sunday morning to look at the deck, explained their process and emailed us an estimate. He had told us they were booked until September so when September was half over I called to check in. He said we were on the schedule for the next week or so. We were actually out of town when they came, and the deck was done when we returned. It looks nice except for a number of spots that are still shiny and a bit tacky to the touch. Not sure if they'll fade as the stain continues to weather. So it isn't perfect, but we're generally pretty satisfied, and the price was very fair.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! We got 5 bids and Monarch was right in the middle in terms of price. But we went with Monarch because they most clearly understood what we wanted, our concerns about process and environment. From the get go, Shane was so easy to work with and prompt in every aspect. Excellent communication and outstanding work! We couldn't be happier! They did an incredible job and we are planning on using them for future work (garage and other rooms)!

The color matched perfectly and everything was neat and clean around all the windows and trim. They also did a good job of maneuvering their ladders around some new trees and bushes I'd planted, which I'm sure made their job more difficult. Shane and Hunter are both great to deal with. Will definitely use again when I start fixing the porch.

Top notch from start to finish. The job was matching a half wall of naked stucco where I removed a three-season porch to the existing paint on an exterior wall. My contact with Shane via phone and email were great. He always responded quickly, and he offered a terrific price. He was able to complete the job ahead of schedule while I was out of town. I returned home yesterday and I can't believe how good the wall looks! My neighbors may start to worry because I keep staring at this wall! The paint match is perfect and I can't see any of the borders even though I know where they are. I would hire Shane again in a heartbeat and I'm recommending him to everyone.

Hunter and his team arrived the day designated and set up. They Didn't bring a large radio with music blasting as so many workmen do. They worked until about 5pm and finished the job within a week. They were quiet and efficient. The detail work needed was well done. Surprisingly they only used ladder to get to all the brackets under the roof line. They removed two of the large windows and painted inside as well and had the cracked glass repaired in one of the windows (we had asked them to do that). They do not have a carpenter to do any repair work but our contractor will be taking care of that. Hunter informed me that the large second story window was too decayed to paint and should be replaced. That window is being made now and I will call Hunter back to paint it. Duration paint was used which I was informed is both primer and final paint in one. The only place they had to prime and then paint were the new spindles on the second floor porch. They also caulked where needed. Hunter and his team are easy to work with and we are very happy with the work that was done!

Working with Monarch was great, from the first contact to the last. I met with Hunter first to talk about the project. His quote was very thorough, professional and competitive. He also struck me as a person who cared about his work and making sure I would ultimately be happy with it. They didn't disappoint. When the work commenced, it was Hunter, Shane and Sev who did everything. They all obviously take pride in what they do, collaborate well with owners and contractors, and frankly, are just really nice guys. They painted the exterior first and the was great. Then they returned a few months later to do the interior painting after we had gotten everything ready inside. Interior work is where a good painter is most critical and these guys did a great job of spraying the trim and doors smooth and even and prepping and painting the walls and ceilings so everything looked really sharp in the end. A few months after that they returned to do the inevitable touch ups and handled those really thoroughly. All-in-all, you'll be really happy with the quality and service you receive from Monarch. I would definitely recommend you check them out!

We had a home office painted. Its an old house and the room needed serious ceiling and wall repair, in addition to wallpaper removal. Shane removed the popcorn ceiling, repaired damage and holes (real holes, not nail holes), primed and painted. He did a great job, very professional, reasonable, honest and east to work with. Highly recommended. Room looks completely different now (a good thing).

They were kind, smart, conscientious and professional.

It went really well from start to finish. They are a great group of guys who go about their work efficiently. Everything went smoothly and they were done in about three days. They scraped and painted everything that was wood. It looks fantastic. I had them paint the shutters black from a faded green and everything just pops!

He was very prompt and professional when he was finally able to come and do the work. I did have to wait for several weeks because he was overbooked, but I had told him that was OK. He moved window air conditioners off the floor of a shower in the basement that he volunteered to paint at no extra charge. He cleaned up beautifully, didn't even use the faucets in the basement, which was a plus, because they were very old and I was concerned about them. He also gave me a pretty good estimate for some future work. I was very happy with the whole experience.

Shane and Hunter (co-owners) were pleasant with which to work. They were a three man shop when they worked with us. They had one worker, Stev as well. We had them change the color of the trim on our one and a half story bungalow. In addition, they changed the color on both sides of the detachable wooden storms and screens as well. Our window were in need of some TLC, so we had them glaze all the house windows and the storm windows as well. We have 29 full size windows and 7 half size basement windows. Take that times two when you include the storm windows as well. So, they did a lot of work for us. They did an excellent job. They did not overpaint from the trim onto our stucco anywhere. Their attention to detail was awesome. Each day they put tarps on the ground where they scraped, so we have no paint chips to clean up after they finished. It took them a week and a half to complete the job. A couple of the days we left our house unlocked, as they needed access to open some of the windows. Needless to say they left everything as they found it. i have only few critiques. They did not clean the windows once they finished. I had to scrap over-paint off the glass a majority of the storm windows. They also said they would put two coats of paint on the storm windows and screens. It is evident they only put one, as some paint has slightly peeled off already (two weeks after the job), which I will have touch up. They also did not prime the sections of bare wood on the trim, so time will tell if the paint job lasts. Overall though, they did a lot of work for what they charged. Their painting skill is excellent. It would have taken me an entire summer of weekends to do what they did. I would recommend them to anyone.

They painted our house and they were very easy to work with even though I was nervous about changing the color. I had lots of questions and Hunter was very patient. I would recommend them to anyone.

This company was great from beginning to end. When I requested a quote, Hunter came out the very next day (Saturday) to provide a quote. It was very reasonable, so we asked to be put on the schedule. The spring of 2013 was unusally rainy, so Hunter kept me updated on scheduling and estimated start date. Once the work started, they did a diligent and thorough job on prepping and repair (we had many woodpecker holes in the siding which they fixed), and the painting job was top notch. They are great at their trade, and are very, very nice guys, as well. They worked very hard in some of the hottest days of the summer, and when our project posed some unanticipated challenges (e.g., a ladder woudln't fit in one small space, the many dormers were tricky, another contractor was working in their space), they didn't complain. This is a great company that deserves everyone's business!

Shane and the crew did a great job. They took the job on short notice, finished within a pretty tight deadline, and did quality work. When we saw a couple spots that weren't perfect, Shane was happy to return to touch them up without any grumblings.

I needed some painting work done to address issues flagged during in an FHA appraisal. We also needed a VERY quick turnaround as we were hoping to close in just a few short weeks. AND this was all the week before Christmas. I found Monarch painting on Angie's list and worked with my Real Estate agent to contact a few other companies to get 3 bids for the job. I ended up contacting Shane last and not only was he the first to respond, his bid was the most competitive. Additionally, he was the most flexible and responsive to questions on a very compressed timeline. While we were hoping to have the work done before the Christmas holiday, I actually didn't expect Monarch Painting to be able to schedule the work in just a few short days. But that's exactly what Shane did. We received the bid on a Monday and he completed the work we needed done for our loan on Wednesday! I'm very impressed with the responsiveness, communication and flexibilty we experienced with Monarch Painting. The circumstances were less than ideal for someone to take the job and complete the work on such short notice - but we got a fair bid and a quick turnaround on work that we needed to be done to move forward on purchasing our home. I will definitely hire Monarch painting for future painting needs!

We hired Shane last year to paint the turret. He began to scrap, and then told us that although he could continue, the condition of the shakes and trim meant that the paint job would only last for a few years. He gave us the option of stopping the job right then at no cost to us (except for the special rental of a very tall ladder), so we did. This year we hired a contractor to remove the existing shakes and replace them. Shane advised us that the shakes/paint job would last longer if we primed both sides of the shakes. So we did that before they were installed. Then Shane and his partner painted them. He gave us a discount for the condition of the shakes and the scaffolding which we left in place from the contractor. Monarch provided us with value above and beyond the paint job - advice regarding the condition of the shakes and the best way to proceed with the installation. They were personable and professional. We will definitely use them again!

The work started and finished on schedule with owner on site most of the time. All the work, from scraping to final paint coats, was professionally done. Much of the work required painting wood surfaces flush with stucco walls. These guys were cutting in experts. The crew was very courteous, and answered all questions with patience and requests quickly and to my satisfaction. A beautiful job.

This company I found on the internet when I was looking for price quotes for a painting job. I had found 3 numbers and 2 of 3 actually called back promptly. Monarch Painting was on time when coming out for a quote and had great response time for getting the numbers back for approval. There was a schedule date set. We had to cancel that date due to conference conflicts. Monarch explained that they were booked for the next few weeks and they explained they would try and fit us in soon as possible. Soon came in the form of the following week. That was great timing considering anything outside of that would have been difficult with training programs going on the next month or so. Monarch was on time and very professional. We did a minor job to see if the quality was good. We will be having them to come out and finish the whole building. I would recommend them to a friend.

We had several bids for painting our house. Monarch was just slightly higher than the low bid, but we chose them based on the reviews here. We were very happy. The house looks great, and they were able to fit us in a few weeks early due to a cancellation. I would recommend them again without question.

The whole job was done in just a few days, they cleaned every evening and left everything as neat as a pin each night. They were right on schedule (even finished earlier than anticipated) and came in exactly on budget. Very professional, very accommodating, and a pleasant experience all around. I have had a lot done to my house over the years, and it's such a pleasure to have real professionals who are honest, reliable and dedicated to doing a really great job.Hire them!!! Shane provided a very competitive quote and completed the project on time and within the quote. He and his partner were enjoyable to work with. They were very accomodating of our special requests--e.g. replacing a rusted downspout instead of painting the old one. i would be pleased to recommend them to my friends.
