Description of Work: Painted 2 bedrooms with VOC paint.

Description of Work: From our first contact, Monarch Painting was outstanding, and we feel lucky to have worked with them. Shane and his team painted the exterior of our house - some high walls and lots of prep to be done. Their work was exceptional, professional, quick, tidy, cheerful and reasonable. They offered valuable advice when asked, and just quietly did a fantastic job. I would, will, and do enthusiastically recommend them to everyone.

Description of Work: painted whole house (3 stories). cleaned up well. were fast.

Description of Work: We bought a foreclosed house that was in good condition except for the paint; most of the inside of the house needed to be redone. Before closing I was actually able to have a neighbor who had done smaller jobs for us before come in the estimate painting the house. This is a two story house, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, kitchen , dining and three other large rooms - this was no small job. He is a legit contractor (and on Angie's List) so we thought with the personal connection and the big job he would be ready to take the job. He met us at the house, spent over an hour noticing things, adding tips.....but then we never heard from him again! It really put us in a bind because we had the moving truck lined up, the closing was scheduled and our house would not be painted in time. Behold: Super Shane!!! He was very prompt about coming over, and gave a fair estimate that was not out of the ballpark. Due to our urgency to get things rolling so that we could unpack, he was extremely flexible about showing up in evenings, coming on rainy days when he couldn't paint outside and fitting us in whenever he had a spare moment. We continue to be very happy with the quality of the work over a year since he did it. There was a small area of the pantry that required that he come back and fix and he came back, no questions asked. Polite and professional all the way around and I will definitely use him again!

Description of Work: They seemed nice and professional but estimate $5200 + $400-$1000 for paint to paint the trim and four shutters on our home seems excessive. Another contractor estimate $2900 + $200 paint seemed more in line with the project

Description of Work: Monarch came around to give us an estimate within a day of calling. Although I wasn't home, I gave them permission to go around the exterior of the house to make the estimate. I t was higher than we expected, but we may wait to afford them--they've done great work in our neighborhood.

Description of Work: Monarch painting fixed some parts of the ceiling and small cracks on the wall in September.

Description of Work: Painted ceilings in a few rooms including a faux finish ceiling, walls in stairwell and walls on second floor. Painted all the trim to cover up work from window replacements

Description of Work: Called to arrange an estimate for some ceiling work - set up an appointment for several days later.

Description of Work: Scraped, primed & painted sides of my house (I did front/back last summer) including all windows and trim. My house has pretty high peaks not accessible using a standard extension ladder, which is the primary reason I asked Shane to do it. Also, glazed section of front window ($30).

Description of Work: Shane painted the inside of a 3-season porch early in 2009 then came back in the Summer to do the outside trim of the house and garage.

Description of Work: Exterior Painting, scraping and sanding of old paint. Reached all of the high peaks and nooks and crannies and finished in a timely manner.

Description of Work: Monarch Painting stripped and painted the trim on the exterior of my house. They also stained the frames on some new interior windows to match the surrounding wood.
