I was very disappointed with this company overall. From the beginning, customer service skills over the phone were just adequate. Communication regarding the moving reservation was not organized or timely and I often had to email or call Craig for information that an excellent company would've automatically sent me as part of their process including a confirmation email of the appointment and price quote, as well as timely responses regarding appointment time and crew arrival. In the end, I was given a two hour window of when the crew would arrive, catering to their schedule. The crew ended up arriving 20 minutes after the window had ended, leaving me waiting for help .Once they arrived, they did not introduce themselves and had negative attitudes; I did not even realize the man I had been speaking with on the phone (Craig) was one of the men moving me. Their moving dolly was of poor quality, thus making it difficult for them to handle some of my large furniture. The female worker ended up losing control of one piece and it fell to the ground and broke into pieces. My father witnessed this, I did not and the worker directly lied to me, claiming the piece had broken in the truck during transit, blaming the loss on someone else. The two workers did not take extra care with how they loaded some of my things into the storage unit; a few times we had to suggest they try something else because how they were trying to pack things would cause potential damage. In the end, they did complete the job, but not with quality service. Poor and unprofessional communication, lack of honesty and integrity, and lack of service quality would prevent me from hiring this company again.

The move went pretty well. The guys were about 45 minutes late, supposedly because they were stuck in traffic. I had told the owner that we needed them at our house at 8AM because we had to be out and at the closing for our new house by 11AM. Fortunately, I had almost everything boxed and in the garage, so all they had to do was load the trucks and pick up the heavy stuff from inside. They worked very quickly once they arrived and managed to finish in time before the buyers showed up, but it was very close. Once they got to our new place, they worked very quickly also. Ended up needing almost two hours less than estimated. The price was fantastic. Lowest trip fee of any place I called, and one of the best hourly rates. A few things got roughed up because they didn't use moving blankets, but I had already left by the time they got to the items, so I wasn't able to provide that oversight. It wasn't significant enough for me to bother making a claim, but it was a bit annoying. All in all, though, it was good service at a great price.

I thought they were efficient,friendly and professional.Moving furniture and boxes from 3 floors of my home. The expense was reasonable and competitive to others. Most importantly for me they were able to fit the move within my crazy schedule, and time constraints

Fast and cheap, not careful or professional. They were available on short notice. The 2 movers arrived 15 minutes later than the scheduled time. The began work right away, and were energetic and moved fast. They were told to be careful of our woodwork and the furniture, however, they were in a rush to finish the job and caused some minor damage to our stairs and stairwell. I asked them to dismantle a desk so it would go down the stairs, and they dismissed my request and tried to do it without taking it apart. It got stuck. When they were nearly finished loading, one of the men mentioned that if I was going to tip them, to do so in cash. He believed the owner did not always forward the gratuity if it was included in the check. They did not seem to have any idea of how to work efficiently or conscientiously. When we arrived at the new location, they parked in front of the loading area, and began unloading the truck, putting things all over the loading area. They took one partial load up the freight elevator, leaving the truck open and furniture scattered all over. I then asked them to unload the entire truck so it could be moved out of the way and the door closed, which they did. After they finished up, they called the owner to verify the job was complete and I was given the total. The owner had calculated it from the scheduled time and I asked him to recalculate for on the late start time. While he did, he also rounded up the amount from what he had originally quoted me a few dollars. The guys worked hard, they just did not have the experience or knowledge to earn an A rating. I would recommend them for a job where you need someone fast, and do not have fragile items to move.

None of our furniture was provided any protection. They basically dumped all our furniture in their truck - no padding, no plastic wrap . Although we were given an estimate to move the entire house - once their truck was loaded they refused to take our televisions by telling us that if the Televisions break they don't want to take liability . We had to make three more trips to our previous place to pick up all belongings as everything didn't fit in their truck. 1) Our new home has a brand new front entrance door and providers mover caused scratches , dent in our brand new door . 2) They had no tools to remove storm door so when they brought the furniture inside -their movers broke one of the storm door's closer 3) They basically dumped the king size bed in the bedroom and kept the mattress on the top- next day we found out that all the bed legs were broken now - our brand new king size bed is unusable at this point until we get it fixed by a carpenter. We contacted the owner Craig immediately letting him know about the damages and his response was that we should not try to negotiate price based on damages . We were calling about damages not for negotiating any price. We were exhausted after the move and we paid Craig in full expecting all the damages will be taken care of followed by this. Next day we sent an email with the list of damages and we never got any response. We have both before and after move pictures of our front door, storm door and the bed and we did inform the provider . This was a total nightmare experience - we are left now with a brand new front door with dents, scratches, new storm door closer is damaged and the broken bed.

They were great! I have a sister and niece that are coming to live with me. To make room, I am finishing the basement. I had tons of stuff to get moved out of there so the contractors can build it out. Two men came and it only took them a little over an hour to get all the stuff (and I mean lots and lots of stuff) out of the basement and into the garage. I had a few pieces in an upstairs room I needed moved as well and they did it all. They were pleasant and professional. I would definitely hire them again.

They did a great job, were right on time and very professional. I will use them again.

It was $60 an hour for two men and I used them for three hours. The owner's name was Chris, he was very helpful over the phone, and he set it all up over the phone. He was very good at checking back with us, the night before, and making sure everything was set up. I called him at the last minute but he was able to work us in without any problems and he was very easy to work with. They are very accommodating and easy to work with because it is a smaller business maybe, I don't know. There were a couple of things that weren't as professional as it could have been. I plan to use them very soon.

Craig and Ray were fabulous! They were right on time, even a bit early to my sister's. They got in and out in just a few minutes. They did all of the work as listed above and were ready to leave at the 2 hour mark! My sister's house is 45 miles away so this is extra impressive. These guys were very careful with our furniture but they were fast. This was on a Holiday too, they worked Memorial Day for us! They were very professional, what a pleasure to work with! The value was incredible too!! We asked for a stack of business cards to hand out, we will recommend this company to everyone! Excellent jobs guys, thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They did a quick visual estimate after walking through our house. We reserved a date. We were not ready to move on that date and had to reschedule for later in the week. They couldn't do the weekend but were able to come out on Thursday and that worked for us. Two guys expertly packed our boxes and furniture on the truck, except at the very end they ran out of furniture blankets and there were minor scratches on some wood furniture. The house fit in the truck, but the most of the garage did not. It was a local move and if it had to happen that day they would have done it, but it could wait and they returned a few days later to get the garage. They charged by the hour, but they never stopped working. We were not entirely ready when they got there but they had no problem working around us with what we had.

Movers showed up exactly on time, which made me very happy! The actual moving went a a slower pace than I would have liked and there was a long delay in trying to get a couch out of the apartment- which resulted in a broken doorknob. While there didn't seem to be any sense of urgency, the guys were careful with my belongings and everythin arrived at the new house safely. Moving in to the new place was mmuch quicker that moving out of the old. The movers (young men) were respectful and polite. The best part of the whole thing was the price. Minute Men movers were less than half the amount I was quoted elsewhere and money was one of my top cocerns. I had never used a moving service before and aside fom a few small issues, I was pleased after the fact. Based on the punctuality and the price, I would use this company again.

We contacted Minute Men at the last minute (about a week prior to our move), and I guess the service we received is reflective of that! Firstly, the main contact was not very good at communicating with me via email. We asked what the charge would be for a local move (places 30 miles apart) and listed the furniture items we wanted moved. He responded with an hourly rate of $69 plus a travel fee. I wrote back asking what the travel fee was and he gave a vague answer that it was based on the distance (unlike other companies that tell you it is based on the time the movers leave the office, etc.). All of the email exchanges were like this—very short answers with unclear answers and NEVER did this contact provide his name (only that the email was sent from his Blackberry). The initial estimate was for 5-6 hours of labor ($350-$420) Finally, I had my husband call and clarify these questions (and the move date and time as he wouldn’t confirm this over email) and we had scheduled for the movers to come on a Tuesday afternoon. That Tuesday morning, we were moving boxes ourselves and instead of calling, the main contact sent me an email, which I didn’t get until about 3 in the afternoon. I responded and he had sent an email right after that saying that they were all ready to go (and had our truck) and would be there in 2 hours. Then, 2 hours later, they called my husband to say that someone was injured and they would need to come the next day. This was irritating, of course, but the mover agreed to give us a “fair price” for our inconvenience. The next morning they arrived and they took almost 3 hours to load our furniture. The two movers took several breaks to answer the phones, respond to their text message, chat with each other, and have smoke breaks. We were shocked (as we have hired national movers in 2 previous cross-country moves and have never witnessed such unprofessional behavior in movers). Upon arrival at our new place, my husband told the two men, he was going to help unload because the pace was ridiculous. In the end, the total actual moving time was almost 5 hours, but only because my husband helped them unload the truck so that the unload time was half as long as the load time. The “fair price” we received was $350-they didn’t charge us for the travel time, which would have been about $70.

First to start with my background. I've only moved a few times in my life and always moved myself. I'm at the point in my life where I have too mch stuff and not enough energy. I was reluctant to hire a large moving company and pay thousands of dollars and cautious about hiring off craigs list. After quite a bit of discussion with my wife, I figured CL would be best to suit my needs, and the best compromise between a large moving company and doing it myself with friends. I needed to move a 5 bedroom house with a woodworking shop in my 3 car garage. The plan was to rent a 24' truck a couple days early and load the boxes myself and have the movers load the heavy items (furniture, tools, etc) and unload everything. I searched craigs list for movers to do this and found four different company. Three of them did in-home estimates. I decided to use Minute Men Movers in Burnsville. Their estimate was the lowest price. He did explain they get paid by the hour, so if it was over or under the estimate, that's what I would pay. Just be aware Craig is very down to business, not as chatty as the other guys. But I was looking for a moving company, not a salesman. He answered my questions and didn’t try ant sell me the service. Craig called me two days before the move to confirm the date and start time. They showed up on time with truck, dollys, blankets, tie downs and tools needed for misc disassemble. I bought a few rolls of the sticky carpet protection plastic from home depot (I highly recommend). We ended up taking 2 trips in a 24' truck and 2 trips in a 16' truck. The load and unload took about 13 hours. I will say they work at a fast pace and that pace remained until the last box 13 hours after they showed. I was shocked how hard they worked. Although the move came in above the estimate (I was not surprised), their price including tip was still less than the other movers I checked with who were insured. As I said we had 4 trucks full and we are now unpacked and everything arrived in good condition. I never want to move again, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for movers who don't want to spend big company prices, but want a good mover.

I was quoted $180, which included 2 movers and a truck for a move from Eagan, MN to Woodbury, MN. Considering this low quote compared to other moving companies, I was skeptical. However, in the end, I was extremely satisfied with their work. They showed up on time, even after receiving my confirmation only 4 hours before the move. They completed the move within 2 hours, which was very fast considering the quantity and types of furniture that was moved. And, they charged me the quoted rate, of $180. The only negative from the experience is that there was some damages due to the move, but I didn't make an issue out of it, considering their low rate and their ability to come on short notice. In the end, I considered this a very successful move and will definitely recommend them to a friend.

Craig called ahead about 3 hours before the scheduled time, which I appreciated. They showed up 30 minutes late but from past experiences moving I don't consider that bad at all - it's an unpredictable business.I moved on a very hot day (90+ degrees and high humidity). I have a lot of bulky furniture and many heavy boxes (books), but Craig and his assistant never slowed down - these guys work like machines. Most of my boxes were labeled, and they put everything into the proper rooms. I am doing some painting and other work on the new house and they were careful to check that things were stacked in the specific parts of each room, as I'd requested.I certainly don't plan to move again soon, but if I did I would call this company to do the work.
