Sergio was very professional and did a thorough job of evaluating and testing our machine BEFORE recommending a repair. He was very punctual and extremely reasonable charging $174 which included two trips and the part. I would highly recommend him.

I phoned this business to have a waterline fixed on my fridge and agreed to an appointment after the noon hour the next day, I told him I work out of the house so come at anytime. He did call beforehand and my phone was in silent mode, he came to the house and stated he knocked and left his business card for a call back. I called back, apologized twice the phone issue, and told him I was home working down stairs and I didn't hear a knock at the door(this seems strange since my office is about 20 feet from the front door and I receive packages by knocking delivery people constantly. Also, he also didnt ring the door bell which would have caused my dog to go nuts barking). I asked to reschedule and was told that he took this as "a sign" and he refused to reschedule!!!! Thank goodness my waterline didn't blow completely out. It seems this company's idea of service opperates in the metaphsical world of "signs" and mistakes aren't supposed to happen. This is taken off the website: "Have you ever noticed how hard it is to get honest, experienced professional help these days. Every where you go is a new headache, very disappointing. Not here at Minneapolis Appliance Repair Service Co. in the Twin Cities. We treat each and every client and service call the way we would want to be treated." Apparently the way they want to be treated is rude, and don't worry about your waterline busting its just a "sign"

Sergio was very professional yet friendly, assessed the problem quickly and repaired it. Cleaned out the dryer and area then suggested sensible ways to prevent a repeat of the problem. Excellent same day service and highly recommend.

My husband and I have a rental property and our tenant is having problems with the washing machine only washing in hot. To make the repair process as convenient as possible for our tenant, I asked if we could give him our billing information and then have our tenant call to schedule a repair time that worked best for her. I explained all this to the man that answered the phone, and he very rudely said he wasn't interested in doing that and said goodbye. Terrible customer service. He didn't even give me a chance to say that if necessary I could work out something else.
Description of Work: He was very rude.

This is a company that advertises emergency appliance service. My freezer stopped working suddenly and my food was melting. I called on a Saturday am. I told the employee that answered I lived in downtown Minneapolis. He said "I try to stay out of downtown". I asked him why and he said "the parking is bad". After I informed him that he could park in the driveway in front of my townhouse, he replied "I don't think I can come out today, the weather is brutal". At the time the temperature was 15F (normal for January in MN) and sunny.

The serviceman sent to our house was unprofessional and verbally abusive. On Tuesday, August 21st at 8:40am, I called Minneapolis Appliance Repair at 612-617-1000. I spoke with Larry about fixing my dryer. He said that he could fit me in that afternoon and quoted $69 for the service call and told me that could be applied toward any repairs needed. I asked if he would call when he was on his way because I don't have a working doorbell and I spend a lot of time in my back yard with my two toddlers. He assured me that he ALWAYS calls 1/2 hour before arrival. I called Minneapolis Appliance Repair again at 10:43am to reschedule the appointment because of an unexpected conflict that came up for that afternoon. I spoke with a woman who said it was no problem to reschedule and that she could fit us in the next day. I rearranged my schedule and waited at home all day on Wednesday. No call. No show. I gave Larry the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe the rescheduling didn't happen properly and had my husband call on Thursday to reschedule again since I had to work that day. Larry left a message for me (instead of my husband) at 10:38 and I returned his call at 10:42. Because I had to work that day, I left a check with my sister, who was at my house watching the children. I told Larry he could call me if there were any problems, since I only work a few blocks away. Larry told my sister that the dryer had a broken heating element, but he couldn't read the serial number, so he had to look up the part and return to finish the repair. He said that he would call me for the final estimate. My sister went to fill out the check for the $69 service call and he said that he couldn't take it because I had written it out to 'Minneapolis Appliance', and it needed to have the full name of the business. She told him that I was only a few blocks aways, and he agreed that he would just collect the full amount when he returned. She said he was very friendly and couldn't believe how fast he was. We waited yet another day for Larry, but HE NEVER CALLED AND HE NEVER RETURNED. The next day, my husband called to find out what the status was and he said, "do you want the short answer, or the long answer?". My husband started with the short answer, which was "I DON'T NEED BUSINESS FROM PEOPLE LIKE YOU". The long answer was string of character insults and ridiculous assertions about how we didn't respect his time and have the audacity to leave him with the babysitter and fill out the check incorrectly - "don't you trust the people in your household?" and his insults went on from there. My husband was enraged by the attacks on or family as well as his RUDE AND INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR which left a family of five, with school on Monday, still without a dryer. All my husband could do was swear and hang up. When he told me what Larry had said, I was astounded by the irony. WE WERE THE ONES THAT GAVE HIM A SECOND CHANCE AND HE WAS THE ONE THAT DIDN'T SHOW UP FOR THE APPOINTMENT AND THEN LIED ABOUT RETURNING, leaving us unable to schedule service with another company until the following week. The serviceman that came out after Larry said that he doubted Larry even took the back of the dryer and showed me the serial number. I'm not sure what kind of chip on the shoulder Larry has, but his behavior was unacceptable and I wouldn't trust him in my house again. 1. HE NEVER CALLED BEFORE ARRIVING, IF HE 'ACTUALLY' TRIED TO COME OUT WEDNESDAY. I have submitted copies of my phone records to Minneapolis Appliance Repair as well as the Better Business Bureau that CLEARLY show that he did not attempt to call, if he actually attempted to come out at all. I have two toddlers, I cannot wait by the door for Larry to show up between 1pm and 5pm. He should have the common decency to call beforehand. His attacks on my family were rude and uncalled for, especially when we gave him a second chance after not showing. 2. COMPLAINT ABOUT CHECK. I own my own company where people truncate the name, not to mention that I write checks for many businesses, including Minneapolis Finance Department, that allow the name to be truncated. It's never been a problem, but even if he's uncomfortable with the check, he could have called me. I would have come back and written a new check or given him a credit card number. HE SAYS HE DOESN'T WANT BUSINESS FROM PEOPLE 'LIKE US', SO IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY. IF YOU WORK AND DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO TAKE OUT MULTIPLE DAYS TO WAIT FOR LARRY. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE LIED TO AND CALLED NAMES. YOU ARE LIKE US! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!
Description of Work: Doesn't show for appointments, DISHONEST and highly unprofessional.
