+ -1 morehired Bruce of Milton L Johnson to re-roof house in St PaulHe re-roofed the main steep parts with architectural shingles and we had him re-build rear flat roofs that were a mess from 1950s into single flat area in rear of house. Then he roofed that with EPDM flat roll material. Also hired him to install gutters. All super reasonable. Bruce was hands on working along with his guys. Very responsive to phone calls on my estimate questions and kept us very well informed on his plan and progress. Overall pleasure to work with. I do recommend and will use him again. Bruce is a smart, hard working guy running a reasonable and respectable business.

Description of Work: Tear off two layers of shingles and re-roof medium to smaller sized/moderately complex house (Quote is for labor only; owner supplied materials). I feel obliged to state that I would have hired this company had an acquaintance (that does roofing for a living) not unexpectedly wanted to do the job. Bruce (both the owner and quote person) is very knowledgeable and impressive. His knowledge (and application of his knowledge) generally surpassed the other bidders (4) without getting on top of the roof. His approach and suggestions were focused on how to do the best possible job on the house. His price quote was in the middle of the five bids that I obtained (I think that mid-pricing was appropriate and reasonable for the probable higher quality work). Again, I would have no reservations to keep me hiring this company to do a roofing job.

Description of Work: Provided estimate for reroofing my house. Was the only one of my four estimators that knew what a whole house fan is and how to install. Ended up not going with him due in part to price but also didn't seem to have as good a solution about how to repair dips in the roof as another company did.

+ -1 moreVERY HAPPY. THEY CAME ON TIME AND BROUGHT A BIG ENOUGH CREW TO GET IT DONE QUICKLY. WORK WAS TOP-NOTCH AND THE CLEAN-UP WAS FINE. NOTICE THAT I HAD THEM DO MY HOUSE ONE YEAR AND WAS SATISFIED ENOUGH TO CALL THEM BACK FOR MY GARAGE, WITHOUT ASKING FOR MORE BIDS. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THEM.

+ -1 moreCOMPANY WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID A GREAT JOB. I USED ANOTHER ROOFING COMPANY ON A PREVIOUS RESIDENCE AND THEY JACKED UP THE PRICE TO REPLACE A FEW ROTTED ROOF BOARDS. MILTON JOHNSON'S QUOTE INCLUDED REPLACING ALL ROOTED BOARDS IN THEIR QUOTE (NO SURPRISES!).
Description of Work: REROOF HOUSE AND GARAGE. REMOVED 3 LAYER OF SHINGLES DOWN TO ROOF BOARDS, REPLACED ROTTED ROOF BOARDS, INSTALLED ARHCITECTURAL (30 YR) SHINGLES, NEW AIR VENTS, ICE/WATER SHIELD AND METAL VALLEYS. CLEANED UP AND HAULED AWAY JOB-RELATED DEBRIS. QUOTE INCLUDED REPLACING ANY ROTTED ROOF BOARDS.
