Matt and his team did a great job. Great communication thru the process and work was well done and on time.

Jeff did the work and was meticulous. There was an area he did not like and worked it until satisfied. He had the entire room closed off and all walls, carpet, and large furniture covered in plastic. After removing tape from the seams he shop vac the entire area each time. When he was done with the final spray I went down and saw all plastic removed and he had vacuumed the entire area. This was a messy job and I expected to do a lot of cleaning after he left but was totally amazed. I gave a B for price just because they were a little higher than the other 2 estimates, but had been the most responsive and could get to the job sooner. It was worth it to have everything so clean afterwards and I would definitely use them again. As a home owner it is important to me that a contractor respects my property and does a neat job. I would ask to have Jeff do the work again, he was very professional and had good communication with us. Thanks Jeff!

This is a rental property and we had a lot going on. I left a key in the lockbox for the workers. All in all, it went ok.

I started hanging drywall myself and decided I was nuts for doing it. Called a couple of companies and decided on McCloskley as Matt took the time to come out and look and my project. Other bidders asked for info over the phone and then provided a price. Matt's crew were VERY professional and made sure there was minimal mess and were always on time. From start to finish the project took 6 days. When the project was completed they cleaned everything up and even went as far as washing our porch steps to eliminate any sheet rock dust. Hopefully I never have to finish a basement again but if I do I can promise I will use McCloskey Drywall again.

We recently remodeled our basement. We hired Matt to do the mudding, tapping and spray texture our ceiling in the basement. They did a great job. Next year we are redoing our kitchen and Matt will be the one doing the sheetrocking work

Matt originally bid this work months ago before we even started work on our addition and we stayed in contact throughout the construction process. As my project progressed, we ended up ahead of schedule and Matt and his team were flexible enough to start earlier, keeping my project ahead of pace. The various crews (hanging & mudding) were always on time and did a great job on the work throughout the project. Since they were also working in our existing bedrooms in addition to the new space we added, they were extra careful taking care of our floors, etc. The communication with my projected manager (Schmidt) was great and he always responded to any questions or concerns I had and addressed everything in a super timely manner. We couldn't be happier with the work McCloskey drywall did on our house and would definitely use them again in the future!

Matt showed up on time for the estimate and we discussed how the work would be performed and what material would be used, (e.g. mold resistant drywall in the bathroom). The installation went well, the material showed up and the installers worked to the agreed schedule. The quality of the work is excellent and the ceiling paint and having the walls primed made finish painting a breeze. I would absolutely use McCloskey Drywall again and recommend their company to others.

Scheduled an appointment with Matt for Monday - no show, no phone call will not use

Matt and his crew did excellent work at a reasonable cost, and everything was done in an efficient and quick manner. Matt, Matt, Tom, and Joel were all personable, neat, punctual, and courteous. Extra care was taken by them to make sure our house stayed neat and clean. Pleasantly surprised at how non-stressful this job turned out to be. Definitely recommend this company to others. This project went without a hitch! The product was delivered on time. Matt and Crew arrived on time when they were scheduled. I appreciate the professionalism of this company and will use them again. I will also be a walking, talking advertiser for Matt.

Great job - was our first time using McCloskey and they exceeded our expectations. Matt came to give me the bid and discuss the job. Once the job got started Matt was in contact with me as well as another project manager. The entire crew was clean, professional and fast! Finished product is flawless. There was one crack that developed due to electrician cutting hole for light and they came back to repair it quickly. Overall it was a great experience, I would recommend them to anyone looking for drywall.

Matt and his team Juan and Joel did a great job installing and completing the drywall in my bathroom. Matt arrived on time to provide an estimate and worked with me to time the project with the other contractors (electrical, plumbing, and tile). Juan and his team showed up on time to install the sheet rock on the walls and ceiling, and did a very nice job of covering the carpets and wood floors in the house. Joel also showed up on time each day and did a great job performing the taping and finish joint compound. Joel always gave me a courtesy call each time before he arrived which was much appreciated. Overall the guys did a very nice job installing & completing the drywall project and I really appreciate their efforts to keep the house clean. Great job. I will work with them again in the future.

Matt came out and gave us the quote and time line, his pricing was very comparable with other quotes we received. We decided to go with McCloskey due to the high reviews on Angie's List and they were the only company to offer priming of all the walls and ceiling (which made painting so much easier!!). The guys that came and did the work (Juan and Tom) were very professional and got the job finished on the time line Matt gave us. We have a family room and bathroom that are still in the works of being completed, we will definitely be having McCloskey back out to our home to finish sheet-rocking the rest of our basement.

The project went very well. At the beginning of the project, it was an open question as to whether I would be able to get away with skim coating the whole room, or whether the drywall would need to be replaced. McCloskey Drywall gave an honest assessment of the risks of skim coating when it turned out the walls had a layer of wallpaper under several layers of paint. The decision was left up to me, and I concluded that replacement was the only way to go. This necessitated delaying the project by a couple of weeks, and McCloskey Drywall's project manager was very friendly, patient, and understanding in moving around start times--particularly after we encountered another one-day delay due to inspection scheduling. Once the project got underway, things went extremely well. The crew who installed the drywall was very friendly and respectful, not to mention prompt and incredibly efficient. The taper, Jeff, started on the project the day after the drywall was hung, and his work was nothing short of superb. One of the walls in the room includes two closets with soffits above them and a built-in dresser in between, with tons of corners, nooks, and crannies. Jeff's work on all of the surfaces, including the most difficult spots, was perfect. He was clean and quick and kept me apprised of his progress. He also started at 7 a.m. each day when I gave him the choice of start time (which was perfect for me), but I also know he would have been willing to work around my schedule if the early starts presented any problem for me. His work was great, and he was a very nice guy who I trusted completely. I even left him a key when I was out of town for a couple of days. As far as the project as a whole goes, one thing that was very important to me was minimizing mess. McCloskey Drywall did a great job respecting this and kept dust to an absolute minimum. One criticism that I saw before I ever approached McCloskey Drywall is that responsiveness isn't always their strongest suit. I would tend to agree with this comment somewhat, but it was not an issue for me to the extent it appears to have been for others. Even if you don't always hear back right away (and again, this was not a major issue for me), at the end of the day, the quality of the work is the key. McCloskey Drywall does GREAT work. Without question, I will be using them for future projects.

While I recognize this is a busy time, Matt stiffed me on two appointments made to give me an estimate. The first one I gave him the benefit of the doubt as he said he had on his books the following Friday from what I booked. I couldn't make that date so we rescheduled to another week out and again a no show. I'm still waiting for a call from him. I'm a busy guy too and took 2 half days of vacation to make the two scheduled appointments. I've heard you do really great work so I don't understand how this has happened on a large drywall job like this. If you don't want to bid or are too busy to take work on - tell the customer up front.

They were very professional and responsive. The work was done very effectively and clean. Jeff was very punctual, professional and respectful. They even fixed a portion of the plumbing that was not originally fixed and that we weren't aware of. They left the area very clean an were very organized. They also explained in detail how the job was going to be done. We are very happy with their work!

First, let me say that the work performed by Rico and the other subcontractors was done well and we were satisfied with the end result. However, the reason I will not be using this company again and my overall rating of "C" is due to their poor communication. They rescheduled on me at the last minute, did not call to tell me about a schedule change for the second day of work, and although I requested revised estimates a number of times I never received one- so once the work had begun I was somewhat in the dark as to what the final cost would be. I also had to contact them to receive an invoice once the work was done, and then had to tell them what work was completed and how much they originally quoted me in order to get to the correct amount (the original invoice was for over 600.00 more than was originally quoted). The only explaination was that they are "very busy." Again, the work was well done but it was not worth the hassle in trying to communicate with them- my husband and I work full time and I had to appeal to my boss' good nature in order to rearrange my schedule 3 times to get this work completed.

After reading the review about McCloskey Drywall I was a bit skeptical, I'll admit that. One review mentioned that Matt cancelled the first time he was set up for an appointment but never called back to reschedule. The only reason I decided to give them a try is because my back was against the wall. I had my in-laws coming the January, the upstairs took the whole entire summer to just get foam insulation put in, a bad experience with another company that shall remain nameless, so this was the final stage of a project that took far too long. Other companies I called didn't even have anything available until the summer! So with that being said, I gave McCloskey Drywall a shot. The first initial appointment got cancelled, yikes is the pattern happening again?? Matt did call back to reschedule a few days later. He came in and it took about 10 minutes to look at the job and gave me a quote on the spot! Now, that's what I'm talking about. It took the two other contractors about 3 weeks to come up with their bids, but Matt be them both handily. My wife and I would be out of town when the job was being done and completed, which made me a bit nervous, I like to be around when work being done to the house. When we came back, McCloskey meet and exceed my expectations by far! The job Matt's crew did was EXCELLENT! If you are lucky to get this team to do your drywall you won't be disappointed! If he does cancel an appointment, believe me, wait until he can look at the job, it will be worth the wait!

They did a wonderful job of installing walls and ceiling for my bathroom remodel. They were efficient and the end result is very well done. They worked around our schedules and were punctual and very professional and for such a messy job kept things ver clean. I will use them again for future remodel projects and highly recommend them. All of the people involved were great to work with.

Our basement looks great! Matt Schmidt was the project manager who was on site the first day to explain the process and timing of the project. Juan and Cabo hung the drywall and did a great job. Once completed, Jeff came and did the rest beginning with tapping and ending with priming the walls and ceiling. What a great job they all did - at the end of each work day the project area was clean and tidy. Everyone was punctual and the project was completed on time and the workmanship superb! Couldn't have asked for more!

everything from quote to service was timely and professional quote was extremely reasonable Jeff did most of the work and was super friendly and punctual and did a fantastic job. I've never had a project like this and was expecting a messy project and a big hassle but it was quick and easy. They did a great job keeping things taped off and clean. thanks again!

They showed up on time for the bid, gave me an estimate at the end of the appointment and scheduled the job for a couple weeks out. They ended up finishing three days earlier then expected. Their attention to detail and workmanship is excellent and the space was tidy when they left it. I'd marked some locations where I wanted cracks repaired and they repaired those and a number of locations that I didn't even mark.

This job went extremely well. First call was to owner Matt McCloskey, who returned my call within the hour. Within 24 hours I had a visit from project manager Matt 2 (same first name, different Matt), who took pictures and scoped out the job. THE NEXT MORNING, Matt 2 and Joel were at our house to begin the job. That is really a fast response! Matt installed the remaining drywall, and Joel spent most of the rest of the day doing the taping and round one of joint compound application. That was on Thursday. Then, Joel let it dry for a day and returned on Friday to do a second and final coat. It dried all weekend, and today Joel came back to sand and finish the job . The wall is beautiful, and ready to be painted. The guys are incredibly clean. They taped large sheets of plastic to protect mirrors, lighting, window sills, and cabinet tops from the mess. They taped heavy paper to the bathroom floor to protect it. They put down wide sticky plastic floor covering over the carpet from the front door to the bathroom, so that dust from tools and feet would not penetrate the carpet. At my request, they left up the plastic wall sheeting and heavy paper floor covering so that my job of painting the ceiling will be considerably easier. We highly recommend this company.
