Matt and his crew were great to work with. Matt was very professional and thorough when he came to provide us a quote, even going so far as to price out separately different components of the project as we were considering doing some of the work ourselves. We ended up hiring them to do the whole project and they did a great job. The space was very difficult to work in (lots of angles and odd cuts) and they put together a very smooth looking finished surface in about a week.

McCloskey came out just before Christmas to do the estimate, but he didn't show up on the day that he was supposed to do the work. We were concerned when we didn't hear anything from him. Somebody called up six days later to say he was hospitalized and that's why he couldn't show up on that day. He was timely when he came out to give the estimate. He seemed efficient and professional in getting the bid back. It was presented back in a nice folder and it was timely. It came in higher than other bids. We decided to go with him because he seemed overall to be professional. We had a deadline when we wanted to get everything done and we hadn't heard from him so we had to go with another contractor. His responsiveness was not that good. We tried to reach him a couple of times and we did not hear from him very well. He was punctual on the day we had him scheduled to quote. I don't think we would use the company again because I think their estimate was too high.

Everything went very well, the crews left the place cleaner than they found it, everyone arrived on time and did the work quickly, the quality was exceptional, and the price was very reasonable.

Overall it went great. Kevin was a breeze to work with. Everything was done on time and on budget. Things look great. We'd highly recommend using McCloskey Drywall.

McCloskey came on very short notice as I am on a tight schedule for getting our new house ready in time for us to move in. They were extremely responsive, fast, and efficient. The only issue was they did not haul away all of their debris. We have a dumpster now that we're using on other projects so it wasn't a big deal in the end. From the time the work started to completion was 2 1/2 days.

Matt McCloskey did the estimate and the finished work came in at the quoted price. Matt was very helpful in coming up with a solution that was reasonable in price and time. We've been waiting a long time for our painter, so Matt started our project immediately. We were very happy with the timing. We were skeptical about the moulding Matt suggested but have come to like it, especially now that it is painted. Thanks for your help Matt!

Excellent. Prompt, friendly, courteous, NEAT- lots of fun to have around. Seemed to enjoy their work. Very cheerful. And, the place looks great. Cleaned up their mess! and did a great job of protecting the floor leading to the upper level.

His team was there exactly when he said they would be (a couple mornings at 5:00 AM) and everything went exactly as he told us it would. The results were better than we expected, what else can I say? After the quote, we added on a request that added to his crews time on the job, he did not bill us extra for this.

Taping and mudding went perfectly, except for the sanding portion. Matt was very accommodating since he found two guys to finish sanding the day before Christmas. However, he left early and left them alone without a foreman. They did a beautiful sanding job, but left quite a bit of dust everywhere, including the entire furnace room (which I ended up cleaning myself). Thankfully, Matt was understanding enough, giving me a discount off the final price. However, something happened afterwards. A week later, my furnace stopped working! The furnace repair person came in and told us that the entire furnace was caked with drywall dust from a return vent that had not been covered, and it destroyed my blower motor -- costing an extra $700 in repairs. Ouch! In retrospect, I should have known better than to have people working around Christmas...Everyone is human, especially when you want to be with your loved ones. Matt had assured me that they really wanted and needed the work, so I agreed to that timeline.

McCloskey Drywall is the company my contractor used on my house renovation project. In an effort to accommodate me (as I was doing the priming and painting myself and needed to be able to do it over weekend(s), some of the workers worked late into the evening to finish up so that I was able to paint during a long weekend in which I was off of work. They brought in fans to expedite the mud drying so that the project would stay on schedule. Though drywall is a dusty part of the project, they cleaned up as well as could be expected after each day of work.

They were prompt, but it was a little messy for the clean-up. The work was done well for the most part. Good, not great.

They were very responsive and accommodating. They did great work!

This is the second time we've used Matt to tape and mud our basement and we really like working with him. He's easy to talk to and his crew did a great job to make our walls and ceiling look great! There were a lot of corners and seams but it all ended up looking really nice and smooth. Clean up was good though there were some splotches on the ground we didn't carpet that we needed to get up but overall an excellent experience! The 10% Angie's List discount he has helps too!

They were excellent, Very professional. Told me what needed to be done, that they could do it for a much lower price than I had been quoted and good cleanup.

Matt McCloskey was very good about scheduling and planning the entire project. The work teams were fast and efficient. They were all very nice and accommodating when I needed to intervene for a modification. The walls were ready to prime and a very professional job was done. My only complaint was the globs of plaster that was left to dry on the floor. The sander/clean-up guy didn't clean this up. It took me a couple of days to scrape and wash the floor clean.

Price-wise, McCloskey Drywall was not the least expensive but we went with him because Matt seemed like someone we could trust and his availability fit in with ours. He gave us the Angie's List discount and even lowered his price a bit more to come closer to our other bids so I really appreciate that. Once we chose him, he told us that we wouldn't regret it and we haven't for one second. Matt got it done quickly and it looks great!! He even taped and mudded an extra wall that wasn't in the original estimate. I'm very happy with Matt and would call McCloskey Drywall again.

Matt is polite, conscientious, punctual, and pleasant. Our bedroom ceiling looks great, and the touch-up areas look good. Original ceiling where touched up is 27 years old, and a perfect color match is an unreasonable expectation. Our overall experience was very good.
