Matt was excellent in his communication with me over the phone and via email, as well as being flexible regarding meeting my family at my house due my unavailability. I would have selected Matt for the job except that he couldn't get me into the schedule for 3 weeks, while another company got me in the next week. Normally, I would have waited, but I didn't want to bring my newborn home to having drywall dust floating about. Based on my communications with Matt, I plan on using him for the upcoming jobs in my house.

Matt McCloskey responded to my request for an estimate in a very timely fashion. He came over to see the space, create his estimate, and explain the process to me. When it came time to start the sheetrock work, we did have to wait about a week for his crew to be able to start. When they did get going, they were very professional, friendly, and did a quality job. The upstairs space had a lot of complicated angles, but the guys made it all look beautiful. We also needed the existing stairway's plaster to be repaired/reinforced and skim coated. At the bottom of the stairs, there were a few areas of the wall that didn't look so great. In the remodel process, a few gouges were made and some plastic blew into the primer which created a weird ripple effect. When I called Matt to let him know most of the space was done beautifully, but I needed him to fix the stairs -- he was very gracious in apologizing for that mistake, and had his guys come out and fix it the next business day. In the end, it all looked great -- and even the not-so-great parts were fixed and taken care of pretty quickly. Additionally, the final charge was exactly as the job was estimated -- no surprises!

I set up an appointment to get an estimate and took the day off from work to meet on Friday at 11am. No one showed up so I called and got an answering machine. I left a message and didn't receive a response until Monday morning. Matt said he misplaced his phone. I only get so much PTO so I don't want to waste it. This was a 94 sheet job and I was ready to proceed if the quote was good.

We would recommend this company to anyone. In fact, we will be contacting them again when it comes time to do additional rooms in our house. The crew was clean and professional. The rooms were masked off and floors were protected. The place was completely cleaned when they left. The knockdown texture looks beautiful. They went out of our way to fix a few imperfections, even though it created additional work for them (and additional trips back and forth). The job took a little longer than expected (2 weeks instead of one week), but the extra time was well spent making the job just right. Thank you to Matt and his crew.

My wife and I were in search of a drywall taping company to finish off our basement remodel. Of all of the contractors I contacted, Matt was the only one who gave me an in-home estimate. He explained how his process worked, even gave me a few tips for hanging drywall (we installed all of the drywall ourselves prior to this service work). Matt gave me a competitive estimate and we started working with him the next day. Overall, he and his crew were extremely professional and skilled at their trade. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the results, and would highly recommend using his service again down the road. As the old saying goes, "you get what you paid for." And, with Matt's team we got A+ work.

Matt was on time to do the estimate and was also responsive to my urgent need to have the job done quickly. He had someone there the next day and the job was finished by that Friday so I could paint over the weekend. I was able to move into the basement on time to be ready for my next project of a hardwood floor remodel. The cost of this procedure was much higher than I expected but after other estimates I found it was a good price and the quick response couldn't be beat.

Matt was very professional and very detailed as to what he would do for us, and how (including a time line). Matt promptly emailed me a extremely detailed estimate which left no doubt as to what he was bidding on (and therefore eliminating any miscommunication as to what was expected). **We had several additional problems that arose (normal for remodeling) and had to be taken care of first, so we had to delay our hiring of a drywall contractor for right now.

Matt's did a great job in bidding the work as well as estimating some more customized drywall finishing that needed to be done. I was hoping to get the job done by the weekend due to carpet installation that was scheduled for Monday. Matt was able to fit me into the schedule and Corey came out to complete the work. Corey did a great job with the taping and finishing as well as the customized drywall finishing needed. We kept a clean work space and was overall a very pleasant person. Corey made an amatuer drywall hanging job look amazing!

Our experience with Matt and his crew was excellent. He came out the day after we called him for an estimate. He scheduled the work as soon as we accepted his estimate. He had the sheetrock here and ready to go for the drywall crew. The drywall crew got thier job done in a day - and there was alot of sheetrock to be hung. Cory was here to do the mudding, taping, sanding, knock down ceilings, and priming. Cory did a great job. They kept the area closed off with plastic while sanding the plaster to keep the dust getting into our furnace and server area, and our entire home. That was very important to us, as we have a home business. Everything was finished on time. Cleanup was good. We highly recommend this company, and will not hesitate to call Matt again if we have any additional work we need done. Very professional.

I set up an appointment for 9am 02/11/11. When no one showed up by 9:30 am, I called to double check that they had not gotten lost, etc. Matt mcClosky apologized and said he had mixed up the days and would be over at 11am. He never showed at 11am either, and never called to cancel the appointment. I would not call them again. Too unreliable. In response to the vendor: I am not interested, thanks anyway. I know I talked to you on your cell phone at 9:30, and all cell phones have a call history that records phone numbers, so my phone number was in your phone. I hate excuses, especially thin ones that make no sense whatsoever.

Matt was very responsive, reasonable. His worker was very clean, punctual and did a great job!

I demoed the living room ceiling to replace the insulation with sprayed closed cell foam insulation. We hired McCloskey Drywall to put it back together. Matt, the owner and an employee hung the rock and found the rafters were not all the same height which caused a bow in the ceiling. The next day Matt and Tom unscrewed the sheetrock and shimmed the rafters where needed. Tom was now on his own to mud the joints, texture, and spray painted the ceiling. Tom was very professional and cared for the project as if it were his own home. He was so good at mudding the joints that no sanding was needed, which made for a much cleaner job, no sanding dust. The ceiling looks great.

Matt came out and completed a bid for a couple projects we have going. His bid was competitive, but we ultimately went with another firm due to that firm's abilitity to also handle the needed framing work.

McCloskey and his crew were very friendly and professional. Matt provided the fairest price out of the many drywall contractors got estimates from, and stayed very close to that budget. His crew was often willing to stay late or even come in over the weekend to ensure that a job was done well and on time. I valued his work so much, that a few months later I called him in to do some minor drywall repair for my primary residence, for which high quality work was also performed. They did a good job cleaning up afterwards too(which is no easy task when dealing with drywall).

Estimate was provided by Matt. He was on time for the appt. and job was described well. The job took two days. The second day, we were told that workers would be coming, but they never showed up. A phone call to Matt indicated that there was a mix up in communication with his staff. Adam took good care to avoid some painted surfaces during the patching of the doorways. The knock down surface was closely matched to an adjacent area. Overall a job well done. We were able to paint the following day. Some frustration with waiting for a good part of the second day for workers that never arrived.

Overall it went extremely well. Matt was professional, punctual and performed exactly to his original estimate. Work began and was scheduled to take approximately 7 business days. He completed the project on time. Along the way I asked for a few little plus-ups like re-taping old seams here and there. Even though they were not originally bid, Matt and his guys did them for free. When he completed the drywall work, he painted the adjacent walls. Overall the quality was good. Through the course of rolling scaffolding around, his guys accidentally cracked two wall sconces. It's understandable because the entire first floor was masked off and they were hardly visible. Matt took immediate responsibility and allowed me to pick out two new sconces and installed them for me. Towards the end of the job, one of his guys cracked our glass radiant cooktop. Matt immediately called me and told me he'd take care of this. He shopped for cooktops, sent me recommendations, and paid for the installation. There are probably 100 guys who can install a nice looking knockdown ceiling, but when problems arise (and they will with any job), I want Matt. Matt understands customer service. Things happen in construction - I get it. Matt dealt with the issues professionally and always kept my best interest at heart.

Met with Matt for a quote. Setting up the appt. was very easy and Matt was on time and very professional. Unfortunately the quote was a bit higher than the others, so I decided to go with someone else. Recommended to give him a try!

Matt was timely and very professional with the estimate. Becuase of strong reports on Angies list we went with him without getting other estimates. His crew start the work the following week and they were on time, worked hard and got the job done in 3 days. Our ceiling looks new and is a match to the texture of our ceilings in other part of our house. They were as clean as possible (a very dusty job) and left our home in good condition. We are very pleased with the results and would use them again.

They responded quickly to arrange appointment, but never showed up and never called to say would be late or not able to come. Called them back several times, no answer, no return call. Very strange because everything else I read was very positive. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but when I never heard back from them, responded as required.

Excellent. Matt was very prompt and professional when he gave us an estimate. We were impressed with his thoroughness. We are totally remodeling a 1948 house that has issues which present challenges for contractors who are not extremely experienced and detail oriented. Matt is both experienced and very particular about his workmanship. He came up with very good solutions that no one else had thought of. Throughout the process, Matt was always accessible to answer our questions. We had some detours along the way because of some problems with the house that were uncovered as our work was underway. Matt remained professional, was extremely patient and again, helped us figure out the best solutions. He was very creative and took our job very personally- in one case, on his own time, he custom made a metal channel for an area that needed one as an "end cap" to the sheet rock, but there was no standard, stock material available in the size needed. He made several trips back, with no additional cost, to ensure the entire job was done just right. We are fussy-- and the corners, joints and general quality of workmanship was excellent. Our open ceiling, approx. 25' x 40' is finished beautifully. This is a highly sunlit area, and the slightest imperfection would have stood out noticeably. The paint is very, very smooth. We went from very uneven, often wavy walls and ceilings that were highly textured to clean, smooth finished surfaces. Matt and his team did a top notch job.
