The experience with Matt and his crew was nothing short of AMAZING! Every step of the process was professional. They were prompt and very open and honest. And the job that Jeff did on our ceilings was incredible. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend them to anyone I know. First, we received the bid on-sight the day Matt reviewed the scope of the project. He went over every detail of the quote to ensure our understanding and answered any questions we had. Next, Jeff (the man who completed the work) was here prompt at 7:00am every morning and worked hard the entire day. He even cleaned up after each day which allowed us to continue to function in the space. When he completed the project we were very impressed with how good it looked. You can't even tell that that my husband hung the drywall (wouldn't rate my husband as high here on Angie's list ;)). Matt also followed up with us to ensure everything met our satisfaction. Talk about a great company that is very focused on customer service. The price we paid was more than fair for the outstanding work they did for us. I wouldn't think twice to hire them for future projects. Thanks again guys for the great work!!!!!

McCloskey is a very professionally run group. When Matt came to give us an estimate he was the only contractor who could provide the estimate on the spot. Everyone else took days to get back to us. Then, when his team came to get started they were punctual with their 7am arrival. The first day they had a whole crew bring the necessary supplies, then just one person came on subsequent days to get the work done. Jeff, the one who did the bulk of the work, was excellent to deal with. Always punctual, SUPER CLEAN, super thoughtful about the best ways to get the project done so that we'd be satisfied with the result for the long-term. He had a great "can do" attitude. There's a reason these guys are so well rated on Angie's List. They do an excellent job at a good price. We'd use them again in a heart beat.

We hired Matt to install drywall in our basement. To complicate matters a bot, we decided to do the project on about December 1 and we wanted to have it done by New Years Eve. When we reached out to Matt, we explained our timing request and he was able to accommodate us by working our project into his schedule. He was prompt, courteous and finished the job in the four-day timeframe that he told us it would take. He did a nice job installing the drywall, mudding, taping and sanding. We were very happy with the results, and our basement project was finished by our New Years Eve deadline thanks to Matt.

Matt showed up on time for the estimate (actually 5 minutes early), which I appreciated. Very easy to explain what I wanted, and he worked with me to understand exactly what needed to be done. Workers were professional, efficient, and did an excellent job. Would definitely use again and would recommend to others!

The work when done was BEAUTIFUL! The ceiling texture was matched very close to original. Employees were very nice and polite. My only complaint was lack of communication; I never knew when or what time they were coming out to work. Overall I am very happy and pleased with end result and would use them again for any other work needed.

I signed up for Angies List just to find a dependable drywall company. McCloskey did all of the walls and ceilings in my basement, including a custom closet space we built. Every employee that they sent to our place was professional and courteous. They did a great job and I would recommend them to anybody. They were able to start the job within less than a week and they got it done quickly. They went beyond what I expected so very satisfied customer here.

Matt replied to my request for ceiling repair cost estimate within 24 hours. He came to the house to see the ceiling within a week of my request (he had some emergencies that came up that delayed it). His estimate was in the ballpark. I decided to go with a small company that specialized in drywall repairs since my job was small rather than go with a larger company. I don't have anything negative to say about the company and would probably get an estimate from them in the future if I had a larger project.

After reading the recent reviews about 'no shows' from this firm, I decided to confirm my appointment before the scheduled time/date to ensure I had confirmation someone would show up. I called the evening before and the morning of and no one responded to my call to state they were or were not coming to give me a bid. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this provider if they don't have the courtesy to respond to voicemails. I'm so glad I didn't take time off from work and have removed them from my list as a potential contractor.

Matt set up three separate appointments, and canceled each after the scheduled time had passed. Clearly they have no regard for others' time and poor time management skills. They may do great work, but I'll never know because I can't trust them to actually show up.

Matt came out in person to bid the job, then sent teams of carpenters and drywallers as necessary to prepare the side and complete the work. We're very happy with the results.

Matt and his team were great to work with. Their price is comparable to others we had bid the job, leaning a bit toward the higher end of bids. Matt was prompt coming over to provide an estimate and his crew showed up on time, as planned. We added a sound channel at the last minute and they were able to accommodate our request with no problem. It took a little longer than we expected to get his ceiling guys over to do the texturing and then the final sanding; but honestly I think all of the building trades are super busy this summer with the economy coming back, so I'm happy for them...and luckily I wasn't in a rush to finish. Overall, they do excellent work for a fair price and I would recommend them.

Never returned a phone call

They were often late. This is a duplex and this caused problems for my tenants and myself.

I contacted McCloskey Drywall and Matt immediately texted me. I sent him pictures and the dimensions of the room we wanted to have sheet rocked. He emailed me the quote and we decided to go with McCloskey Drywall. I texted Matt a day we would like to have the work done and he put us on the schedule for our requested date. I contacted Matt the week prior to them starting the work and he said everything was set to start on our date. The morning the work was to begin Matt (project manager), Juan, and Cabo showed up on time to start the work. Matt advised what was going to happen and when, everything went according to his schedule. All the work was performed in a professional manner and everything was cleaned up daily. I would strongly recommend you choose McCloskey Drywall for your drywall job. Me wife and I are very pleased with the work they performed at our house. Thanks to Matt, Juan, Cabo, Adam, and Jeff for a job well done!

I had a smaller job & was told that they weren't interested....call someone else. So I did.

I felt the response time to my inquiry was very slow and the quote was very high. they quoted me 550$ but i got the same work done for 250 total from a differnt team of contractors. The person i corresponded with was courteous but they were just slow in turning around the request and over priced it. I felt like the work was too small for them and they just priced it to make it worth their time.

Everything was completed within our specified timeframe. The guys were really nice to my wife, too. She appreciated that!

Went well, gave me quote on the spot. Was most expensive quote in comparison to 4 other companies.

It was completed by the date promised and the quality of the work was good.
