Description of Work: Fixed/replaced a leaking transition between my patio awning and my roof. Also caulked around chimney where there was a small leak. Work was done very well and quickly. I would definitely use again.

+ -1 moreThe roof was replaced in a timely manner and the cleanup was very thorough.
Description of Work: This is the second roof we've had replaced by Tom Manion. The initial roof replacement by Tom was 15 years prior to 2007. The roof had deteriorated secondary to defective shingles. Tom came to our house several times regarding our claim against the shingle maufacturer and removed several shingles to be tested by the shingle company. Tom completely removed and replaced our roof on both jobs. The real test of a good roof installation came this past winter and we found that we had no leaks whatsoever. Tom is a very conscientious and thorough roofer. We would highly recommend him ..... as we have done so to several friends.

Description of Work: In both 1993 and 2008 we had Tom Manion tear off and replace our asphalt shingle roof. The 2008 work included a chimney saddle and gutter screen installation. I realize there are raised eyebrows noting only a 15 year lifespan on the first roof installation. About 8 years after 7-93 we noticed what appeared to be hail damage to the roof. We received a partial settlement from our insurance company and requested a second opinion regarding the roof damage. We were informed that the hail damage appearance was due to defective shingles. Tom came out and removed a portion of the shingles and had them examined by a test lab. The shingles were proven to be defective. We got 15 years service out of the roof before we had Tom replace the shingles in 2008. Tom is a completely honest and sincere contractor. He is very neat and fastidious in his work. We didn't even get a second bid in 2008 .... We simply called Tom to proceed with replacing the roof. The only other person I would allow on my roof would be Santa Claus.

Description of Work: Repaired hole in roof (from tree limb damage); installed new ridging in 2 areas of the roof, installed new cap on furnace stack and re-caulked vents.

HE WAS VERY HONEST ABOUT HOW REPAIRING A LEAK MIGHT NOT WORK, BUT ALSO DID NOT TRY TO ''SELL ME'' A NEW ROOF. MANION'S DID A REPAIR AND IT'S HELD UP GREAT SO FAR! WHEN I DO REPLACE MY ROOF - I WILL JUST CALL THEM. I WAS EXTREMELY HAPPY AND WOULD RECOMMEND MANION'S TO ANYONE.

Description of Work: PREPARED ROOF, PUT ICE & WATER SHIELD, SHINGLED, PUT NEW GUTTERS ON, AND TOOK CARE OF ADDING ADDITIONAL FLASHING WHERE LEAKS OCCURRED.
