Maid For A Day

The 2 individuals were on time. They were courteous, friendly and worked very hard the entire time they were here. I am very pleased with the quality of the clean. I have no negatives on this service and will utilize them again.

We have been really impressed with Maid for a Day. We have been using them for several months now (twice per month) and they do a great job. They pay attention to the little details, such as cleaning under the rim in the toilet bowl and wiping out the inside of our microwave. They use natural cleaning products which is wonderful since we have a toddler. We haven't had to provide any negative feedback, but I'm sure they would be receptive to making changes if we requested. We plan to continue our service for the long-haul as it's so wonderful to come home from work to a sparkling home twice a month!

Very pleased with the service. I even had to call them and re-schedule due to an unexpected showing of the property. I called them and they were able to come almost 3 hours early and still get the place cleaned up. A team of three ladies came right away, and started cleaning immediately. They were polite and courteous and did a heck of a job cleaning. I have never seen the place so clean, even before I had purchased the place. The price was reasonable and everything worked out perfectly for me. Couldn't recommend these guys more.

They were very professional and completely accommodating. They had a lead who spoke to me about what I wanted done. She instructed the team. I just tried to stay out of the way. If you feel anxious at all about having "strangers" come into your house, these folks will put you at ease and you will grey the help you need asst a very reasonable price.

Since I was having a large wedding at my house I, for sure needed all 4 bathrooms cleaned plus the rest of the house. But when the cleaning crew showed up-they did not understand English. Luckily my friend came over to translate for me in Spanish. She told them to make sure the bathrooms were completed before they left. Someone came about 2 hours in to check on them. I was running around getting other stuff done. She said they are on schedule and will be done soon. I came in and 1st glance everything looked great. Got up the next morning to shower and opened my 3/4 shower door and the shower hadn't been touched. I looked around and it looked like they cleaned the sink and toilet, dusted 1 shelf but the floor around the toilet was not cleaned or anything on the shower in or out. It was the 1 thing I asked to make sure it was cleaned. So I spent an hour that I didn't have-cleaning the master bathroom when I should have been working on my wedding plans. I then was paranoid and checked the other 3. They were OK. I understand it was their first time here and the language barrier was difficult but I asked for one thing to be done and it wasn't. I brought someone in to help them understand and still wasn't done. I am not sure what else I could have done.

It went so well. The bathrooms and the kitchen were so clean. They did an amazing job with everything that I couldn't have asked for anything more. I called and thanked them.

Really pleased. The house looks great. The crew of three arrived 5 minutes early and showed up with everything needed to clean our house. We have a large house so I was not sure if they could get thru everything in 6 hours. They worked quickly and everything is clean.

As a stay-at-home-mom, I have always been the sole house cleaner in our household. I have often wondered what it would be like to hire someone else to do it, to see if they could do as good of a job as I do. As my daughter's birthday party approached this year, I just couldn't find the time to get everything done that I needed to. My husband remembered hearing about Maid For A Day so he called and made a same-week appointment to have our house professionally cleaned. They arrived 20 minutes earlier than the appointment time (which was awesome!) and got right to work. My daughter and I headed out to run some errands for the party and when we came back an hour later, the cleaners were done and gone; I couldn't believe how efficient they were! Our entire house smelled and looked simply amazing. We only have one carpeted room and that carpet hasn't felt/looked so good since we had it professionally cleaned a little over a year ago! I have pretty high standards when it comes to a clean house and they nailed every single one. We absolutely recommend them and will hire them again in a heartbeat!!!

I met with the owner at our home and walked thru the house and she gave me a quote to clean our home. I contacted her to setup our first cleaning and we setup a time for our initial cleaning and I told her I would prefer 9:00am because we have a 1 & 3 year old and my wife would like to take them over to her parents while the cleaning is being done and that way they could come home for lunch and naps. The owner said no problem they'd be there between 8:30am & 9:00am on the scheduled day. Well I go into work and 7:30am and hurry back home around 8:30am to let the cleaners in and my wife leaves for her parents with the kids and around 9:20am there is no one there, so I call the owner and ask her where they are and she says I have you scheduled for 11:00am today. I said we are supposed to be scheduled for 9:00am today remember I told you about my kids needing to be home for lunch/naps so I preferred an earlier time? She said oh yes now I remember, well it must have been a "computer glitch". So, anyway we rescheduled for the following week at 9:00am. Two cleaners showed up at 8:45am, I said hello and told them to close up the house when they were done, they said ok. I came home two hours later and my wife and I were both disappointed in the cleaning job. It didn't look like the hardwood floors had been washed, and a very surface level cleaning throughout, not the deep cleaning the owner had promised. Also, they broke the handle for the faucet in the tub and we didn't know that until that evening when we were trying to give our kids a bath. I wouldn't recommend this company. Don't waste your time or money.

The team arrived on time and got right to work. They did a nice job with all of the key areas - bathrooms, kitchen, dusting and vacuuming all over for dust and dirt.

The crew was extremely thorough and efficient. We were really pleased with the result and the price was quite reasonable. Would definitely recommend and use Maid for A Day again!

There seemed to be a miscommunication on how the service was to be done. We thought the service was based on hour rather then by the job. Advertisements read by the hour, and the employees stated it was by the job. Items were not put back into place after being moved even after request for neatness and orderliness. Employee were active on their cellphone on several instances and were not attentive to our special request.

Overall, it has been OK. The people running the company are very responsive and always willing to fix any issues. The company itself has been great. Maybe our standards are too high. After every cleaning, there is something that wasn't cleaned that annoys us. For example, they rarely (if at all) dust behind picture frames and the wood on my steps is only cleaned between the support structures of the banister (see picture). There have been other things in the past we have complained about and the company has refused payment from us and sent out cleaners to fix at no charge. We have decided to part ways with this cleaning company to try someone else to see if we have a similar experience.

Fantastic service and results. On time and got more than what I expected from the service. I have my father who recently had a stroke and wanted help cleaning his apartment, so I hired Maid For A Day and they took care of his needs perfectly. I will be using their service again for my myself because of the results of their recent visit.

Great job! I wasn't able to be home when the team came. The house was very clean when I got home. I am pretty picky and they met my standards. I liked that the house didn't smell of chemicals either. I would definitely use this company again.

Not well. Well when three people plus are in your house for six hours and its a 2000 square ft condominium and I have to clean after they leave, that's a problem. It was just not good. When the owner is coming in they're on the top of their game. When you have three, people like I said working in your house and your not sure who is in charge you just know that they are all standing there expecting their tip. I'm not giving three people a tip. Not gonna happen, not while I'm paying the owner. And I live in a security building I do not like different people coming in every week.

They arrived on time and actually called this morning and advised that they had a couple cancellations and were able to come early if I preferred. Everything went just fine, they came and did what they were supposed to do and did a good job. I would recommend their services to others.

We were preparing this home to put up for sale. It was very dirty throughout, and seemed hopeless. Also, it was just beyond the usual distance most cleaners in the Twin Cities wanted to go. The first two Angie's List companies I called said it was too far. Carolyn at Maid for a Day was more sympathetic to the situation I was in, and agreed to take the job. She was also flexible when I had to change the first appointment when other work on the house wasn't done in time. On the scheduled day, the window cleaner showed up first, and did all the windows, inside and out. Then the two-woman cleaning crew, followed by Holly (the owner?) who made sure everything was OK, and talked with my wife to be sure she understood all we needed done. Later, the power truck with the carpet cleaner came, and steamed all the carpets. We were pretty amazed at the change, since the previous occupant was not much of a housekeeper. I had tried to clean the toilets myself with high-powered chemicals, and couldn't get the stains out, but now they were completely white, as if brand new. The caked-on kitchen grime was also all handled. Everything was done to our satisfaction, so there was no need to call the owner to have her come by for a post-inspection. Highly recommended.

First visit a month ago was ok and 2nd visit today was great. The 1st visit started off rocky but not the companies fault, it was the day of the blizzard type weather and they were stuck in traffic due to accidents. Something they couldn't predict. Few things I'm particular about: lines in the carpets, well dusted vents and very clean, hard water stain-free showers, among a few First time: no real lines in carpet, but saw them vacuum it, and smudges from cleaning towel on the wood furniture. THEY CORRECTED ALL MY CONCERNS BEFORE LEAVING. Second visit: THEY DID A FABULOUS JOB!!! They made sure I had lines in the carpet(after I let them use my vacuum just had better suction-no big deal). no smudges anywhere, surfaces were sparkling, And to top it off the cleaning staff that clean were very nice and did great work. Only pet peeve I had is when I call to chat with owner i don't get a call back. But I'm enjoying them cleaning my home. I know the first time is always getting use the the home so I didn't want to be unreasonable with my review, wanted to be fair to them. But I plan to continue using them as my now new cleaning service. Thanks Maid for a Day

It went fantastic! This provider was extremely thorough and did exactly what we wanted them to do. They rubbed, scrubbed, dusted and vacuumed during their allotted time and I was very pleased with the results. Be assured I would recommend this company to anyone who want a clean house quickly.

She cleaned the house, but completely missed one sink & counter in the lower level that definitely needed to be cleaned. There were just little things all around the house that were not as good as I would like -
