Went well, both the drying of any excess moisture and the restoration of water damage to a ceiling.

John, the owner, came and provided an estimate and was able to send a team the next day to begin the water and mold remediation. His estimate was right on with another company who my insurer sent, but I didn't care for the initial contact with the other company (ProServe), so I hired John's company. It took one to two people working in my basement for about a week to take care of the problem and the damage and they took all the damaged materials away with them. The workers were very respectful of my needs as I had a recently broken ankle, was immobile, and have 7 chihuahuas that had to be confined when they came and went. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs this type of service.

I had done my own remediation on what I suspected was a small job, and it turned out it was a small job. (Testing indicated slightly above the level for sensitive people, unfortunately for me that meant I had to remediate.) I contacted Loyear after the second day of sanding and sanding not knowing that after the first bit of blackness, it is probably stain from the enzymes in mold. ( I thought I needed people to come and get the rest of the grey wood removed.) John informed me of this and I was happy to clean up and move on with the rest of the project. However, my husband wanted a seal of approval so I contacted John again and asked him to call. He called a couple hours later, which was fine as I had a lot of dust to vacuum and wipe up. Then his co-worker called to schedule a time to stop by. He asked if he could do a couple other jobs and stop by late afternoon. Fine with me as my air scrubber wasn't due back to the rental until 10:00 am the next day. So, Gary came, said it looked good, and was on his way! yippee! BTW, now I know if I see any sort of ice dam, big or little, to call professionals asap to avoid this type of mess. TLTR: Asked them to come out at noonish and by 5:30 they came and I got the all clear I needed. They were willing to come earlier, but I was flexible and realize other's have pressing needs. Thanks Loyear! Hope I never need you again, but you will be called first!

Loyear was quick to respond arriving about 6 hours after we discovered the disaster. The crew knew how to tackle the problem; they were respectful, courteous, and helpful. When I requested extra testing for the presence of moisture or mildew, they were obliging. And at the end, the owner offered to clean and seal a small area that hinted of mildew. Their communication was professional -- always informing us when they'd return and what they'd do. Their quick action saved our home from further damage.

After dealing with many contractors, I was skeptical having anyone come out to handle my water issues but knowing the situation I was in, I didn't have a choice. I normally don't write reviews but I felt compelled to do so knowing there are many people like myself who have had bad experiences having work done on their homes. My experience with this company was almost heartfelt because everything John said would be done - was done. I have to say, it was money well spent - the quality, timeliness, addressing all of my concerns (and there were many) and communication from beginning to end was so wonderful. I could not have asked for a better experience.

Loyear Restoration Services was helpful at every step of the process through our disaster. They provided a free assessment of the situation or help us determine what needed to be done. They gave us a reasonable quote for the work. The staff were all courteous and professional throughout the project. The work was completed in a timely matter. Mold tests post abatement showed that the spore levels had significantly decreased to 'normal' levels. The owner made himself available by phone or text as I had questions throughout the process. He also made himself available to speak as a witness for a legal aspect of the problem. This company really went above and beyond in their efforts to help us during one of the most frustrating problems I've ever experienced.

Very well. I worked with John directly as well as members of his team. They took pictures beforehand to document the mold, which I very much appreciated and no other company did (I got bids from 3 companies total). All of the companies came in at about the same cost, but I believe the work performed was the highest quality, the communication was best, and overall I got the best deal for the work I got with Loyear.

Great customer service. We recently had to deal with a lot of rain and on top of that we had pre-existing issues with mold from other years of rain. We called during after business hours and got scheduled in right away. They arrived within the time frame and went right to work tearing up the wet carpet, created a barrier to remove the mold infested areas and hauled everything away. Even though they put up a barrier for the mold they removed, they still vacuumed other walls and areas for precaution. Everyone we met was kind, concerned and professional from the boss, technicians that came out and the administration people I talked to for scheduling and billing. It was a lot of rain that week and they squeezed us in and came back to test the moisture daily before removing all the equipment. We were grateful for having a company that cared about our well being and was fair in their pricing. We told several of our neighbors to use them already.

Everything went very well with this company. We were impressed that the president of the company took the time to come out and inspect the damage and make recommendations personally, even though it was a more limited area and not a huge job. The company scheduled the removal and treatment of the affected area very quickly and finished the work in 1 day for what we considered was a very reasonable price; we'll be going through Loyear for any future needs around such an issue.

We had black mold on a small part of garage ceiling caused by wax ring leak in bathroom above. Overcharged for more than 2 hours of time. Gary was very pleasant, did the job, and gave us some helpful tips on an unrelated home issue. But he arrived very late twice - more than an hour late the second time - and didn't call to let us know. I had to rearrange another appt. because of it. Then they overcharged us for more than 2 hours after he'd left the site. He'd also vanished for over an hour in the middle of the job, after saying he'd let us know if he had to leave. When I asked billing why they charged us for 2 hours of time after Gary had finished the job and left, they claimed they'd already given us a big discount and had charged us less than the estimate. Right - because the job didn't take nearly as long as the estimate assumed! He also wiped some black mold from his fingers to clean them off onto a shelf in the garage as we talked!

I had several companies come out, and John Loyear was my preferred provider. His quote was what I expected, and I felt like others had high-balled me because I have a higher end house. Communication was always timely with John, and he seemed genuinely sympathetic toward the problem. They showed up when they said they were going to show up, the gave me time frames that were realistic each and every step of the way. They consistently asked if I was happy with the service along the way. They cleaned up the area at the end of each day.

While the estimate was similar (but slightly lower) than a competitor I went with Loyear because I got a really good sense that John brought great expertise and went into greater detail on what the root causes could be. The team that came to do the work were an absolute pleasure to work with and were able to determine that the drywall mold was due to a leaky pipe in the wall. Mold is all taken care of, it was definitely a job well done.

Loyer Restoration did a very good job with our 45,000 fire restoration. The staff members were courteous, and kind as we dealt with the aftermath of the house fire. They were helpful in trying to explain how the process worked, and understanding when they had to explain it again, as we were very overwhelmed with all that we had to do. The staff members worked in a professional manner and maintained detailed accounts of what had to be trashed because it was beyond repair. Even when a picutre frame was broken during the clean-up, they resored the frame to better than new condition before they returned it. The staff made every effort to complete the resoration in a timely manner, so that we did not have to be displaced from our home any longer than necessary. Additionally, they explained their billing process, and were patient as we dealt with the insurer for payment. I would recommend this company for restoration if you ever have the misfortune to experience a house fire.

In addition to giving us an specific day/time of service, the staff who worked at our house were professional, kept us informed of the progress, and gave us honest feedback on the condition of our basement as well as what to expect after clean up. Our basement is now dry, smell-free, and ready for renovation.

He went up in the attic. I don't have easy access and it's an unfinished attic, yet he was still willing to go up there. He found the cause of the problem. Then he told me that their company wouldn't be able to help but he gave me some recommendations on some companies who can help.

Loyear did an amazing job when I had a minor oven fire that required my whole apartment to be cleaned for the smoke damage. They met up with me probably within an hour when I called them, walked me through everything during what was already a stressful time, and were great advocates and handled everything with my renters insurance and my building management, which involved quite a lot of back and forth. They also always showed up on time when they said they would. I wasn't especially looking forward to returning home after being displaced for about a week (it was the scene of the incident!) but Loyear did such a great job, and my place feels like home again and my place is cleaner than it has been in years. I'm incredibly grateful I came across them on the Better Business Bureau website.

It took approximately four days to complete the work and, during that time, John and his team stayed in constant communication about the job. We felt that we received great value for our money, especially as we received four total quotes for mold remediation. We would absolutely recommend Loyear Disaster Restoration, as we had an incredibly positive experience. After the remediation was complete, we sold the house for full list price. The subsequent inspection revealed no issues at all with the crawlspace, which was a huge relief.
