LAWN AND TURF CORP

Three years ago, I contracted Lawn and Turf for monthly snow removal. When they repeatedly failed to show up, I withheld payment, never receiving a response to repeated phone messages. They took me to court, which landed on the same day as a last minute client meeting worth 20 times the $376.59 they wanted. I sent a check the day before, and landed the client contract at work instead. Two years later, they began billing me for yet another snow contract. I called repeatedly, day and night (again, getting voice mail), returned their bills in the mail, and sent a very stern cease and desist letter. No response, other than to haul me back into court. This time, I brought documentation from the company I actually HAD hired as proof. Their proof was a color copy of an old postcard, doctored to appear current (sans postmark). Their attempt to scam a past customer for $411.71 was rejected by the court, with a finding that I owed them nothing. (Henn. Co. conciliation case 0605080)
