The service I received was top-notch. When I asked about a possible home visit to see exactly what I was trying to describe, Rick agreed immediately (I do live nearby as noted elsewhere). He later arrived exactly on time for this appointment, and was most helpful. Later, when I needed to exchange a part, this was accomplished smoothly and easily. I was left most impressed with the service at Lappin Lighting, and would definitely shop there again.
Description of Work: I dealt with Rick Lappin in re: to purchasing track lighting for my home. He helped me both in the Lappin showroom and in my home as well, for measurements and product suggestions (I live a few blocks away from his office).

I did not know anything about track lighting so the salesperson spent quite a bit of time explaining my options. Both the service and quality of the track lighting were excellent. The only cautionary note is that the prices seem a little high; however, for me, the help from the employees was worth the cost.

Lappin dropped the ball on the order and simply were not honest with me. They lost my order (placed in March, arrived at the end of June, and didn't realize it until I called in May to confirm a delivery date). Two calls left on their answering machine were never returned. A third call was finally answered and then they never followed up. The first lights to arrive from Hudson Bay (OEM) were lot dated in February 2007 (meaning that they were made well in advance of my order and that the order placement on Lappin's end was likely lost). This confirmed my suspicion that they lost the order and re-keyed it in late May. The boxes arrived in early June. The next lights arrived in late June; again the Arroyo lights were lot dates April 2007. They also gave me the smoking gun, the ship slip stated that the order was placed with Arroyo on the 1st of June 2007, TWO MONTHS LATE!!
Description of Work: I purchased four lights (from two different OEMs) from Lappin Lighting. Lappin lost the order, never followed through on both the orders or my calls, and let me down. These lights were ordered in March 2007 and took until June 2007 to arrive. Lappin has great selection and helpful staff but lousy follow-through.
