The estimator that came to our house was very polite and knowledgeable. We wanted to have the quote show separate line items for removal of the old concrete and sod for the new patio, since we were considering doing this work ourselves to save some money. The estimator did not have any issues during the visit with us doing the demo to save some money The quote came back, and was not quite what we expected. The demo was not broken out as a separate line item, and some items were combined into single line items which made the quote very hard to understand. Ultimately, the confusing quote was not an issue as the price was much higher than their competitors. If the quotation had been less cryptic, we may have looked into the pricing further to see if it could be reduced. At the end of the day, it was far too expensive for what we wanted to spend, and another company was able to do it in our price range.

Overall they were great to work with, nice and prompt. Came up with some good ideas for what I needed.

Great experience. Disconnected and removed 1 of 2 exterior lights. The removal of the light required brick to be replaced. LaMere worked hard to match our uncommon brick to ensure that it didn't look like a patch job. Also rebricked a corner of our house that was collapsing due to an insufficient brick ledge. Couldn't be happier with the work that was done. We had four different masonry contractors bid the work and LaMere was the only one that took the effort to find the perfectly matched brick. They were also able to match the mortar to our existing aged mortar.

Great craftmanship and attention to detail. Took into account my designed preference along with the best design for long-lasting quality of the concrete. Two day project with the 1st day spent removing the old sidewalk and prepping the large area for the patio. Took care of surrounding landscaping and kept me informed of the overall process. Second day was pouring the concrete. Came back on the third day to remove caution tape barriers. Patio looks amazing, couldn't have asked for anything better.

They did a really good job and their price was reasonable. They did a lot of extra work. Everything went smoothly and I was very happy of the way they did it. They were professional.

This company was recommended to us by our architect. I went to their website and filled out their contact form asking them to contact me for an estimate. After a week went by and no response I called the company. No one was in so I left a message. A company representative called me back later that day, but I was not able to take the call so she left a message apologizing for fumbling the inquiry I made from their website. The message said they'd be happy to give me an estimate that week. I called back, but again, no one was there so I left a message for the representative telling her which days and times would work for us to do an estimate that week and asked her to call back so I could arrange to be home when they came. It's been over 10 days now and they haven't returned my call. Maybe they do good concrete work, but their customer service is lousy.

It went OK, ONLY AFTER I SUMMONED SUPERIORS when I observed workers assigned to the job taking short cuts and not following the prescribed repair as quoted me. The section of concrete replaced was to include special details where the pad met surrounding concrete, as to not fail in the same manner the replaced section did, and not cause future problems to adjacent areas. I brought this up with workers on site. They told me it was too late. After contacting LaMere's office a higher up came out and reversed what they had done, completing the work as it was to be done originally. I'd file this company under the category of "hire them if you have the time and expertise to act as foreman yourself, because they can't be trusted otherwise."

They did a good job. Concrete is always more expensive than you think it is going to be especially when you are trying to match something because you don't really have a choice.

Great experience working with Lamere. The crew was highly skilled, clean and conscientious. They even went above and beyond by filling in a pre-existing sinkhole in my yard during the excavation process. My concrete looks amazing, I highly recommend Lamere.

Heidi and Bob at La Mere were great. Punctual, responsive and professional. They had the best bid for the job we decided to have done and gave us good estimates for two other jobs. The guys that did the actual installation were subcontractors and while they seem to have done an excellent job, customer service from these guys was poor. Once Bob came out to check on the job, the customer service from him was again excellent. Getting the job scheduled seemed to take a little longer than I would have expected, but overall, I was very happy with the La Mere part of the job.

The experience went really well. Their carpenter is amazing. He reworked old cupboards to fit a new stove and cabinet doors to fit glass, and it is seamless you can't even tell it was done. They were very professional and the people that put in our countertops were very exact.

One of the best contractors that I've worked with in a long time - They were punctual, courteous and professional. They will be the first on my call list for future concrete work.

I used your recommendation for this company and found out that Angie's List is not always a great reference. When the company came for a estimate he was friendly and it was raining so I gave him an umbrella and he went outside to look at the foundation himself and also give me an estimate on my back steps. When I decided to go with the company I sent an e-mail which was responded with promptly but I told them I just wanted the foundation repaired. I waited for the contract and when it came I sent half the amount and signed the contract but I did call before I sent this back and asked Heidi at the office to clarify exactly what they were going to do. When she returned my call she said she was told whatever needed to be done. I waited about a month and then I did not hear from them so I called and Hedi said she did not get the contract with the down payment so she sent the contract via e-mail I again sent it through the mail. Three weeks later I called to see if their was a problem and Hedi said no she had received the second check and would let me know. Several days later she left a message that they would be out the next day. When I came home the had repaired the three corners that needed it but did little to skim coat the minor cracks. This was not a total crumbling foundation just cement repair. They did not treat it with sealant and in fact left a big bucket with tools on my front lawn and also a tool in the back yard. I thought they were coming back to finish. I did not have any communication with them until a bill was sent and it was the whole amount. OK now I had two checks out there one not accounted for and one she had not cashed nor had she mentioned what to do with it and sent me another bill for the whole amount. I sent an e-mail that was not respond too and left a message but no one called back and now I received a second bill with the second check I sent cashed. I guess they do not need their tools because they still have not picked those up. Maybe they are great for big jobs for for a small job they were lousy, it looked like they had done it in a rush and so much so they had left some of their cement tools. I feel I got taken advantage of and for the work it was way overpriced. I got screwed. I do not trust the company so now I paid money to stop payment of the check they did not receive because I am not sure if it turned up they would not cash it. First time I used Angie's List!

Representative came out (Tim) in a timely manner. He was very knowledgeable and very professional. He submitted an estimate quickly. Work was started as planned and they finished when they said it would be done. The workers were very courteous and kept the work site safe and clean. I was really impressed with their work. They exceeded my expectations! I have been a homeowner for 33 years and this was the "less stressful" project I ever had to encounter. I highly recommend this company for any concrete or retaining wall work! From start to finish it was a great experience.

Even though I did not select this contractor, my neighbor hired them. The work looks great and the cleanup after the work was excellent.

Responded quickly to my request to come visit my property and view the work needed. Showed up on time. However, it took 3 weeks to receive my quote by mail. By then I had already hired someone else who had completed the work. Their quote was higher for the work that was performed by the other company.

I was extremely pleased with LaMere. I got one other bid and their's was considerably lower. Besides the price, I also liked the low key approach of Bob, their estimator. The job took awhile - but since I didn't have a specific deadline, that didn't matter. Instead, I appreciated that they took time to do a careful, top quality job. The crew was easy to work with and willing to accommodate my minor changes once the project started. The work site was left clean each day and they made some effort to avoid damaging my established plantings. They even, on their own, repaired some old woodwork on the edge of the porch next to the new steps without extra charge. I am impressed with the precision of the masonry and concrete work done - it looks great.

I CONTACTED THEM FOR A BID ON MY GARAGE FLOOR. THEY WERE REASONABLE, BUT I CHOSE TO USE 1 CONTRACTOR TO DO BOTH MY JOBS.

THEY KEPT ME WELL INFORMED DUE TO THE POOR WEATHER. THE OWNER WAS HERE EVERYDAY. THE CLEAN UP WAS GREAT. ALL MY NEIGHBORS COMMENT ON HOW GOOD THE JOB TURNED OUT.

THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS QUITE GOOD ON THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE. HOWEVER, ON THE BACK THEY INSTALLED THE PAD INCORRECTLY, PROBABLY DUE TO POOR COMMUNICATION WITH ME AND THE CARPENTER WHO WAS WORKING ON THE SAME PROJECT (BUILDING A SMALL PORCH ON THE BACK OF THE HOUSE). LUCKILY THE CARPENTER WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE PAD THE PROPER LOCATION SO HE COULD FINISH HIS WORK. IT ALL LOOKS GREAT NOW!
