We were very happy with Lakewoods Remodeling. We worked with Scott, who was very knowledgeable and responsive. Our preferred method of communication was by email, and that worked fine for this company (we have tried to work with other companies in the past who often do not even respond to their emails). The majority of the project cost was covered by insurance, and Scott was familiar with the process and was flexible in working with us as far as the insurance company's schedule for releasing funds. The quality of work was very good, and the project was completed in a timely manner.

From beginning to end, professional, efficient and courteous. I would hire them again.

We did not hire Lakewoods, but I was very impressed with Bill Mossberg. Quote was very competitive with the contractor I used (Northrup Roofing). I recommend including Lakewoods as a bidder on your roofing project.

Bill Mossberg had replaced some damaged siding in the summer of 2015 and did an excellent job. While he was here we talked about replacing the roofing. He followed up with quotes and some suggestions for a good product. When we decided to proceed he was quick to respond. His crew worked very hard to complete the job in one day...a day that was cold and windy. Clean up was great in spite of having to complete it in the dark. Good job all around. No complaints at all. I also had some brief contacts with other staff at Lakewoods and they were quick to respond and always pleasant.. .

Excellent. Very responsive, affordable, professional. I highly recommend their services. From initial contact to project completion, they were fantastic to work with.

Everything went well. I got 4-5 quotes and Lakewoods was the lowest. Some other places wanted as much as $8-9000 which I felt was way too much considering what a small, low, non-steep and simple roof we have. Tom agreed and came in at a price that seemed fair for both parties. They did it on a Saturday after initially planning for Friday due to weather issues. We were out of town and came back to a great-looking roof and compliments from the neighbors. I found a few pieces of shingle or two and maybe one nail in our landscaping but overall the clean-up was very good. Tom was personable and easy to work with. We hope to not have to hire them again for roofing purposes but would definitely consider them for other door/window/remodeling work in the future.

Worked with Steve Miller. He was great to work with - thorough and very experienced and brought up good ideas including how to deal with issues in the old roofing construction. Snafu in materials delivery to our site slowed down the crew for a couple of hours at one point but they still polished off quality work in a single day. With the white EPDM, our roof surface temperature (on a 90 degree July day) fell from 160F degrees to 95! Will see how it goes this winter when we finally get staying-snow.

Excellent, from bid to closeout, communication was great. Scheduling was prompt, and quality was top notch. Bill & Sharon were great to work with.

During a heavy rain we heard water dripping between the walls. Went onto Angie's list and purchased a special roof leak coupon from Lakewood's Remodeling. Scott was very responsive and emailed me within a day and stopped out the next day to inspect the problem . The problem was a crack in the flashing on a vent pipe and they also identified a flashing problem on another vent pipe and some damaged shingles on the garage. We scheduled the fix for later that same week. We were out of town when the fix was completed, but not a problem, Scott sent me pictures of the repairs and the problem was fixed. The Lakewood's Remodeling team did a great job!

Honestly, things went better than we ever expected. We originally contacted Lakewoods to complete minor repairs to our house after the original contractor disappeared without a trace. The work that was left over was not much, and we didn't expect any contractors to take interest in such a small scope of work. We also had originally thought that insurance should have covered more on our damage claim, but our prior contractor lost siding samples and was not persistent in dealing with the insurance company. Lakewoods, however, has been nothing but responsive and reliable. Scott came to our home to review our claim and view the damage, and with his help, we were able to break through all the red tape and get additional funds to replace our siding. Throughout the entire process, Lakewoods was helpful, communicative and straight-forward. As for the work they performed, it was top rate. We've gotten so many compliments on our siding, wraps, and soffits from friends, family, and neighbors. The contractors worked quickly and efficiently, and at the end of the job, they did a great job in making sure that everything was picked up (no nails/debris). I would highly recommend Lakewoods Remodeling to anybody who is having any work done to their home. The peace of mind that comes with working with a company that is competent, reliable, and communicative is priceless. Do it. You won't be sorry.

Will not hesitate to use Lakewoods again if the need arises. Sean came out and did a through inspection. Found the source of the leak, and fixed it at a fair price.

Lakewood's did an excellent job in replacing our siding and roofing due to a hail storm from June 2015. Steve Kelly was our contact and we can not say enough good things about his professionalism and being "Johnny on the spot" if issues arose. Steve and his team were very prompt, not only in returning calls but arriving at the job sight when expected. We a had a few minor issues that occurred but the team was very prompt in addressing them. Steve and Lakewood's Company worked with us on other projects that needed to be completed without hesitation and were very accommodating to meet our needs. The leak due to the gas fireplace vent was repaired.

Lakewoods Remodeling originally came out to give a quick bid after a home inspection showed the need for corrective action. They were able to promptly assist with providing a closer inspection, and bid of work during a time sensitive home purchasing process. A few months later after purchasing the home - I worked with a number of contractors to get competitive bids, and found Lakewoods to stand above the rest. Specifically, Steve at Lakewoods Remodeling, was quick to respond, had extensive knowledge, and wasn't afraid to come back out to double check a measurement to be safe about the work being done. Paper work was prompt, communications were precise, and the work team was able to get through a few unexpected modifications through the process. Whereas two other companies were almost double the price, took a week to respond with a bid, and one of which didn't even go up on the roof. Steve was also up front about the city of St. Paul code requirements and the possibility for an additional 2,500 worth of work needed to bring items up to code (the 2,500 is included in the cost of service listed above). Simply put from the city of St. Paul, is that if the gap between boards exceeded 5/8" - I or the contractor would have to fill in or cover over - Not a single other contractor knew about it, nor did they include it in their bids. Say what you will about code requirements, Steve took the time to know them and was prepared for it if the requirement came up. Rather important when dealing with a 100 year old house.

Scott and his crew were pleasant and did a great job. I would not hesitate to call Scott if we have roof trouble in the future.

He went on the roof and took the time, free of charge, to seal some parts of the roof that I was concerned with leaks. I also had many questions about the roof and new roofing options that he took the time to discuss with me.

It went perfectly. We originally thought we may need a new roof, but Bill found the issue and fixed it up right away and ultimately saved us a lot of money. We couldn't be happier.

After discovering a small leak in my ceiling, I purchased a $99 coupon for leak inspection and repair. Sadly, I failed to read the small print, and my roof was too steep for the coupon to apply. They did, however, credit the $99 to the bill. Despite being very busy, Scott was able to come out the same day to inspect the roof. He sent a crew over the next day to complete the job.

Lakewood came out to my home after a major hailstorm. They did not try to sell me on a new roof, they educated me on my current roof condition, and recommended that my current roof was still in working condition and did not need to be replaced. Proof that they are not trying to sell replacements where they are not needed. -Drew

We experienced some leaking inside of our house during the last rainstorm. Bill from Lakewoods Remodeling came out the next day and took a look at everything. He caulked up a bunch of spots on the roof that could have been the cause of the leaks and left us with tips and advice on what to do if it happens again. He was prompt, professional, and very helpful. We would definitely use them again if we had any other issues.

I needed to have shingles reattached on my 1940 cottage style house. I purchased Lakewoods Remodeling $89 Roof Maintenance package which included minor roof repairs such as this, as well as a roof inspection. Scott was very prompt and courteous in contacting me and keeping me updated on progress and changes. Because my roof is so steep he had to add another crew member for safety, so there was a small extra charge which he notified me of in advance. This was definitely money well spent! Scott and his crew promptly repaired the shingles at the time he specified, and did a great job. He also gave me a thorough explanation of the issues going on with my roof, which were causing the shingles to start falling off. I also asked Scott for a quote for a tear off and reroof of my house and garage, which I now know I need. He sent a detailed quote less than a day later explaining work and materials, as well as financing options. I'm very happy with Lakewoods Remodeling work, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for help with their roof.
