Description of Work: Tear down old shingles and reshingle. Went well. They were in and out in a day. Down poured about 8 hours after they were done, and didn't have any leaks or shingles fall off. So I was satisfied.

Description of Work: We used them for two services: roof and gutters. We had mixed results. Our old roof was torn off and replaced in one day. We have an especially steep roof and they had to set up some braces (which I thought would make it take longer) but they were very efficient. We are very happy with the quality and workmanship of our new roof and recommend their roofing services. |However, we also had them replace the gutters on our 3-season porch. The gutter work was awful. The workmanship was poor. The gutter location and dimensions we requested were not employed, white caulk was smeared on our new roofing shingles, and garbage was left all over the yard, including scrap metal, cigarettes and nails. The work was finished over a month ago and I am still finding nails and scrap metal in my gardens. It is my impression that they sub-contract the gutter work. To their credit, they apologized and sent a different employee out to repair the shoddy workmanship. Most of the scrap metal garbage and nails were still left behind and the caulk on the shingles was not removable, but the gutters were fixed. Overall, we would recommend them highly for roof work but not for gutter work.

I'm sorry you must have done this report on us in error. We have never worked for this member or at this particular address. We did a reverse search on the City of Minneapolis' website and it showed the building permit was actually issued, on 6/23/14, to a different company (Kaufman Sheet Metal Roofing, Inc.).

Description of Work: The most important thing I need to say is that Lakewood was prompt, fair, competent, and a pleasure to deal with. They deserve all the positive recommendations they've earned. The work was done as soon as weather permitted, it was done quickly (one day), the cleanup was perfect, and I have zero complaints of any kind. So why do I say I would not use them again? It's because I have a bad conscience about using a non-union provider, which they most certainly are. | |The total cost was $2200 above the $7799 voucher (plus another $225 for a Roseville buiding permit), but that was fairly estimated, since the voucher was for a roof of 2000 sq. ft. and ours came in at about 2900.

Thank you for your review. We checked our email log and the proposal was emailed last Friday 6/27. Is it possible that it is in your junk email folder? We did not get a undeliverable return email but it is also possible that it was delivered to a valid email address that is similar to yours. Due to the height and steepness of your roof we ordered aerial measurements. The sales rep should have informed you that it takes 2-3 business days before we get the report back. After seeing your report we also left you a voice mail to verify delivery. Please feel free to contact was with any questions.

Description of Work: Replaced our roof. They arrived on time (7:00AM).Finished by 3:30. Clean up was excellent (they even used two different types of magnets to pick up nails). They will install new gutters on the 26th of June. I will use them again and recommend them to friends and family. The two main men, Steve, the estimator and overall manager, and Victor, the job foreman, were great to work with. I can speak of them only in soperlatives.

Thank you for the review. I apologize for the misunderstanding. I was under the impression that you were going to order an energy audit and contact the insulation firm that blocked of your attic in order to the create storage space. As you know, due to the storage space, you have a unique situation that created ice buildup/water intrusion in the middle (not bottom) of your roof. In our meeting we did a lot of speculating as to the cause but without being called out when the intrusion was actually happening it was virtually impossible to diagnose the problem as the exterior roofing appeared okay. Also, during our meeting I did mention that our firm does not do drywall repairs on homes older than 1978 due to the stringent EPA RRP (Lead Paint Law) regulations. I did however say that I would confer with colleagues, to see if anyone could offer more insight, and call you back. No excuses, I simply forgot to call you back. I was out to your home on Thursday 4/3 at 4PM and you were my last appointment before a long weekend. It appears that, uncharacteristically, your paperwork became commingled in another file and without the paperwork I flat out forgot to call you back the next week. Your review is the first contact we’ve had since the appointment 19 days ago. I really do wish that you would have at least called my cell phone to discuss before posting your review. I did confer with my colleagues about your situation and feel we can offer you some advice regarding your attic issues. If you like you can call my cell or office to discuss.
