Description of Work: I used the ad that Angies list ran and they came right over and treated my roof with care and removed a ton of snow and ice. They were careful not to damage the shingles, which I was initially concerned about.

Description of Work: I found Lakewoods Remodeling on Angie's List on-line. I called them for a complete roof replacement. With new decking and roofing with a ridge vent. The work went really well and the crew worked efficiently together and quickly. The entire job including clean up was done in less than two days. Bill Mossberg was great to work with and he brought with him a level of experience and knowledge I did not find with other contractors. Plus the ability to understand my concerns about aesthetics and architectural integrity of my 100 year old house. I was so satisfied with Lakewoods Remodeling service that I hired them to install new vinyl siding on my house as well. Again the crew was excellent and professional. The finished job looks great, I have received many complements. Here again I wanted to maintain the details and motif of my old house. Bill Mossberg worked with me on my function and form requirements. The end result stayed true to form and with improved functionality. Not to mention the added insulation and energy efficiency. I would highly recommend Bill Mosssberg and Lakewoods remodeling.

Description of Work: During the winter of 2010 when we had a ton of snow, we hired this company to remove the snow and ice from our roof. I was excited about this big deal, but it ended up costing us way more than the big deal. When we had our roof replaced later that year, a different roofing company said that our roof was quite damaged from the ice removal. Also, I had asked them to not deposit the ice/snow right by the edge of our house, but they didn't follow through with that.

Description of Work: They came out to inspect our chimney, which we felt appeared to be deteriorating. Said it was in adequate shape and recommended not performing any work. I appreciated their honesty - didn't try to sell me work that wasn't needed.

Description of Work: Lakewoods replaced the roof on our home. Scott connected me to the Certaintee class action settlement enabling me to recover costs from a prior roof replacement. He also provided an excellent warranty on the new roof. The Lakewoods crew was very good, on-time, stayed on task, great installation and cleaned up the site really well, Excellent value for this major home repair expense. I'll come back. Chris May

Description of Work: We included Lakewoods Remodeling in our proposal selection because of all the positive comments. I called and made an appoinment but Shawn didn’t show up so I called and had to make another appointment. Apparently they had a new scheduling software and it didn’t forward him the appointment time. Shawn did show up for the second appointment time and sent a proposal a day or so later. The proposal did not include the permit cost and seemed to list possible unexpected costs such as replacement cost of roof decking and flashing. The other two contractors said they would complete any repairs as part of the job. I requested an updated proposal to include the permit cost, gutters and gutter caps. Unfortunately, I never received the updated proposal from Shawn. He called several weeks later wondering what I thought about the updated proposal. I told him I never received it and that we moved on and had already picked a contractor. Maybe we just hit Lakewoods Remodeling on an off day(s) but I felt it wasn’t my job to chase them anymore for an estimate.

Description of Work: Not sure what I could posibly say that would effectively descirbe how thrilled I was with Bill Mossberg and his work. Bill kept in close contact with me from the moment I called for an estimate right up to the morning of teh repair and while he was en route to my home. I have dealt with a significant amount of subcontractors in my life and punctuality seems to be their achilles heal. Not the case with Bill as he is in every way, shape and form, a vision of good. Not only did come by the house when he was scheduled but immediately introduced himself, shared his business card and listened to what my challenge was (leak near a plumbing vent) prior to even taking his ladder off the truck. He was efficient and respected the fact that my time was valuable and went right to work (bidding the repair), I was surpsied however when he came off of the roof with his caulk gun and let me know that the leak was repaired. The leak was due to an aging rubber boot that will be replaced in a couple of years when I reaplce the roof. Instead of trying to sell me a new boot or even a new roof for that matter he repaired the leak while he was on the roof to complete the bid and in return asked for nothing. It may not have consumed 4 hours of his day but it still took gas, his time, supplies and climbing on a fairly steep roof to do the repair when he could have easily bid the job onsite and earned some bucks while at it. Needles to say that when I replace my roof the first company I will call is Lakewoods Remodeling, or more specifcally Bill Mossberg as this gentleman represents far more than your typical subcontractor and in a society where strong value based contractors are not frequent, he breaks the mold. Description of Work: Called Lakewood for a quote on roofing. Bill Mossberg came out and discussed my roofing needs with me. He was extremely personable and submitted a written quote very quickly. He indicated he would work with us if we did not like anything about the bid proposal. He followed up with a phone call to see where we were with our project and I explained he was the middle bid out of three. He asked if he could take a look at the numbers and resubmit an offer. He reduced by about $600 and submitted a second offer that was very close (~$200) t the low bid. When I explained that I was happy with the lower bid as well and would be using them he was very pleasant and thanked me for considering the company. I definitely will be calling Lakewoods again for an estimate if I need anything done around the house that they work on.

Description of Work: The appointment was set up with Bill Mossberg on June 8 and when I had to change it because of a prior commitment, he was very amenable to switching the time. He showed up on time, told me what he would do, checked the roof, made some repairs, which involved nailing down some loose shingles and also caulked around the fireplace chimney which he observed was showing some wear and tear. He came back in and told me what he had done, there was no charge for his services, and he told me to watch for certain things, like chimney problems, over the next couple of years. As he mentioned to me after inspecting the entire roof, It was good news for me with no major problems found, but in that regard, less good for his Company . He also mentioned to me that my neighbor s home had a few problems he observed just in passing and then mentioned several things they could do to correct the problem. Appears to me he is a problem solver in his area of expertise and is very honest in his appraisals, which is much appreciated by me.

Description of Work: I called four contractors from Angie's list and picked one. this company was second. I chose the other company partly because of exceptional service and partly because of colors available for siding from each company. He was fine at our interview and good at giving me a bid. However, he didn't follow up right away. He did call later but I thought too late for a followup.

Description of Work: They sided and re-roofed are garage.

Description of Work: They assisted us with a roof leak. They gave us small fix for no charge.
