Terrible - this company does not call potential customers back.

Everything went well. They showed up on time, grated the bumpy ground, removed weeds and then laid sods. About 3-4 inches of mulch was added to the north side of the house and around the stones too.

Mike and his crew always do a great job with my lawn (and my yard is large for Bloomington!) and with removing snow in the winter (long driveway)! I always recommend them to others. Very pleased!

It went exceptionally well from the get go. Brian was wonderful to work with. I called and told him what we were looking to do and he was excellent!! Communication was great and after emailing pics of of yard that had to be sodded he was quick with a quote!! His crew showed up on time and were very detail oriented. When work completed they took the time with me to discuss how to care for my new sod!! All I can say is Wonderful!!

I first hired Brian and his crew to install sod last fall. I knew we were pushing it, but the installation went very well and the sod held up until the first freeze. Then, after the brutal winter, I lost at least half of it to winter burn/damage. Brian and I communicated via email as to how best to remedy the situation. I gave him a budget and he came and replaced more sod than I had torn up. He likely went over budget, but it might have been easier to replace the whole area as opposed to just bits and pieces. I know this was a small job for him and I appreciate the concern he had for it.

The quoting process was quick and easy. He came out and did a quick inspection of what we had in mind and had a quote for us the next day. They did a tear out of the old bits of remaining grass and a lot of weeds as well as bringing in several yards of fresh black dirt. The crew was very courteous and professional. The entire process which would have taken me days and days of labor and several tool rentals was done in an afternoon and we hope to spend many years enjoying our new grass!

My experience was very frustrating I did what I was suppose to do to take care of the sod. My sod just started looking poor so I called them and they said next year it should bounce back and it did not bounce back. They came and threw some seeds on there and it did nothing it just looks awful. I had it aerated by another company and it did not help. When they laid the sod they forgot to cut one of the for one of my sprinkler head so they had to do it after the fact. It has been a disappointing experience I have had with Lakes Landscape Services.

They were wonderful! They were prompt, courteous, did what I asked, and they answered all the questions I had on how to maintain the yard.

Once they got to my house, they did a good job. VERY slow when there was heavy snow. Called 4 times over the course of 7 hours and was told each time the crew was on its way. Will never use again.

Did not show up for work & did not call.

Before the fall no-show, my experiences with Lakes were acceptable, although I felt that the price for spring clean-up was a little excessive, particularly since two of the three workers were away from the site for some time getting the proper equipment. Aeration was acceptable and done in a professional manner with good equipment. The scheduled Fall clean-up was a disaster!!! We had talked several times and Mike knew that he needed to complete the work by a day certain for Mpls to pick-up the bagged leaves. That day came and went with NO contact from Mike/Lakes Landscaping. My wife and I are in our 70's and we needed to spend many hours late that afternoon to hand rake and bag about 20 large bags of leaves. Mike called the next day and was very apologetic, but gave no reason for having ''stiffed'' us. It is unlikely that we would hire Lakes again because of this apparent lack of communication and concern for a past customer, although we have had favorable previous experiences.

THE COMPANY WAS PROMPT AND DID A GOOD JOB.

THEY DO AN EXCELLENT JOB OF REMOVING THE SNOW AND CLEANING THE AREA. WE HAVE A LOT OF STEPS UP TO OUR HOUSE AND THEY SHOVEL THEM VERY CLEAN. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT SOMETIMES IT WOULD BE THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT OR NEXT DAY WHEN THEY WOULD ARRIVE TO SHOVEL. IT WOULDN'T BE A BIG DEAL, BUT OUR DRIVEWAY IS VERY STEEP AND ANY SNOW ON IT OFTEN MEANS WE CAN'T GET UP THE HILL OR WE SLIDE INTO THE RETAINING WALL NEXT TO DRIVEWAY WHEN WE GET HOME FROM WORK.
