Stacy's knowledge in organization, cooking, and shopping --- and her ability to impart these talents were awe inspiring. She educated us on food prep - food storage -- even gave us a couple of her recipes -- all to show us how to have an efficient well run kitchen to save time, money, and be be heathier

I won a session with Stacy at a silent auction and was a bit worried about what a professional organizer would do with our small kitchen. We have a lot of stuff, partly since my daughter sells Pampered Chef and we are pretty sentimental about heirloom items. I was quite amazed. In just a couple of hours, she not only worked us through several terribly-cluttered locations, but taught us how to continue on our own and gave us great suggestions on remodeling that would solve most of our space issues. I had forgotten what my countertop looked like! I would highly recommend her.

I am feeling more organized now and don't have to take everything out of cupboards to find an item. I only wish she could have stayed longer but I now have great ideas to finish the job.

I was looking to purchase some cooking lessons as a Christmas gift for my mother who was already an accomplished cook/chef, but had some recent health challenges that forced a dietary change for both her and my father. Being foodies, I knew that she would want someone to help learn how to cook "gourmet healthy". I came across Sue from Kitchenwerks from an Angie's list referral and after speaking with her I purchased her services. Sue has an extensive background in healthy, tasty, food. After Sue spoke to my mother, they agreed on a menu and then Sue went to my mothers house and spent an afternoon going through recipes and food preparation ideas. My mother really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend Kitchenwerks.

I would HIGHLY recommend KitchenWerks for cooking classes. I recently chose to have a personal one-to-one cooking class in my home. The highlight from my experience was not only the delicious meals prepared, but the confidence and inspiration to make more. Let me give you a detail of my experience. I contacted Stacy, the owner of KitchenWerks for assistance with meal preparation. I am a CPA and wanted to prepare meals that I could freeze and utilize when I am busy during tax season. Initially we discussed my needs, the meals I was interested in cooking, and the amount of time it would take. She provided some additional meals that may be of interest to me to choose from. Once I decided on the meals, she prepared a list of ingredients I should purchase if I did not have them. While preparing the meals, she would first give a brief description of what we were making, give directions of what to do (showing me first, then I would do the remaining ones), and finally reflect over what we made. While discussing the meal, she would provide alternatives for seasoning or ingredients as well as other uses for the item such as a topping to a salad or other side dishes to go with it. This time also allowed me to make notes and review the steps taken. In addition to the planned meals, she identified that we could also make soup using the balance of ingredients that were not being utilized in the dishes we made. I particularly liked how she would encourage me to taste and season the dishes and her suggestions for other seasonings that could work as well. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for cooking is apparent and evidenced in the wonderful dishes created. I would categorize myself as a novice when it comes to cooking. I have taken some classes, but making great tasting meals without burning it has been somewhat elusive (although getting better the more I try). So bringing Stacy on for one to one instructional cooking not only gave me the assurance that I would have a great tasting assortment of meals, but also will give me additional experience and knowledge. I have started to enjoy cooking and am eager to try more.

I attended KitchenWerks "NO MORE CARROTS" Class. It taught me how to cook veggies and use them better than just pulling carrots out of the fridge. It was the best class I have attended on how to make healthy food for me and my family. Stacy the instructor gave us helpful hints on how to cook once and eat twice. Meaning she taught us how to roast veggies on the grill or in the oven, then how to store them. Best yet by preparing the veggies ahead of time she gave us ideas on how to use them for breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner all with healthy eating in mind. This was a fabulous class that anyone that cooks can use. I use all the tips Stacy provided for us all the time. You have cut my cooking time in half and we are eating healthy in our house. Thanks for the great tips Stacy.

The Shop Smarter class was fantastic, detailing ways to shop healthier and avoid the foods that may advertise lower calorie/lower fat, but make those cuts up with more chemicals, added salt or sugar. It really helped me to lower grocery costs and be more conscious of my eating habits. The No More Carrot Sticks cooking class demonstrated several vegetarian dishes that were very tasty and easy to prepare. Even my husband, a professed meat & potatoes guy, really enjoyed the food prepared there and we've done the dishes at home several times. I'd recommend Stacy's classes to everyone who wants to eat healthier, make better informed grocery purchases, and learn how to pick the best available produce and keep it fresher for longer.

Stacy was a wealth of knowledge about what has worked and not worked for her clients and I appreciated her focus on how the kitchen should function. She offered suggestions about cabinet placement, one in particular that made the space cleaner and more open that I would not have thought of myself. When it came time to move back in, Stacy first visited to assess what I had and get me started on placement with Post-Its, then returned for a day and a half of unpacking and placing items in the new cabinets. I tend to get bogged down in details but Stacey kept us moving, making the most of the time we had. She has a good sense of space that avoided much trial and error while being respectful of individual idiosyncrasies.
