I will call this “The Good, The Bad and the Ugly review” as I am breaking this review into the 3 teams that we had – 2 very good and done quickly and 1 inferior with the most time spent at our house – thus the overall 3 star grade. The Good • Roofing Team – Grade: A. Efficient, good job, found virtually no nails or roofing materials on the ground • Gutters – Grade: A. One man crew but he knew what he was doing and provided good suggestions for modifying our water flow. The Bad • Siding & Window Team – Grade: C to D. Not sure how they were trained but they didn’t seem to understand some common construction basics. A few of the many examples – o They nailed the siding on wrong and had to start over. o They almost ripped the 120V electrical outlet off the house without turning off the breaker but it was the weekend and we happened to be in the garden and saw them. o Installed the dryer vent wrong twice – once painting it shut and the next time putting on a vent with a label on it saying “not for use with clothes dryers” due to the pre-installed screen. The Ugly • Siding & Window Team – Used caulk as touch up paint on LP Smartside (or just used the siding to clean off their dirty fingers?) – leaving random “chicken pox marks” all over new siding. Garage, driveway and all 4 sides of our house were filled with equipment and garbage for the length of the project. Not the crew to have if you have children or pets – they left old saw blades and other sharp objects around the garage entrance and the house. I didn’t expect a spotless home every night but I didn’t expect to be living with this much disarray with minimal clean up each night, even after asking the supervisor to improve pickup of at least garbage and sharp objects in the garage and the common walking paths. Nor did we expect to be spending our fall cleaning caulk off the “maintenance free” siding and re-painting it and installing our outside boxes correctly. I will give the owner credit for realizing that his siding and window crew did inferior work and giving us a discount on our bill. None-the-less, I am rating the services provided based on the quality of the work done.

KeyPrime was very professional and knowledgeable; I initially inquired about a couple windows to replace, but they suggested that we might have hail damage on our roof, which was in need of replacement. They worked with my insurance company, did everything possible to maximize my dollars from the insurance company, applied for city permit and did very good work. The roof and gutters and gutter covers look great, and my whole house has had a facelift!

We had a high complexity project requiring working with 2 separate homeowners for a single structure (an 1891 townhouse). The team at Keyprime were extremely clear about project risks and expectations, and that meant that when additional issues were discovered during the project, we already knew about the possibility and were prepared to deal with them. They were excellent communicators (even during a literal plague) and provided really high quality service. The price is relatively high for a re-roof/new gutters, but the material quality is excellent and the workmanship is great.

A+ review for William and the KeyPrime team! About a year ago, we purchased a historic house that was in need of several major repairs. The roof was over 20 years old and had not been done properly before, which had caused the wood soffits, eves, and fascias to rot. Squirrels and bats had started getting in through the rotted wood, and the gutters were falling off the house. We interviewed a lot of companies and received numerous bids. It was a complex project, and we wanted it done well + affordably (a difficult combination to achieve). We also needed all the work to conform to the historic register requirements and be approved by the historic preservation committee. When William came out and discussed the project, we were immediately impressed. He demonstrated a deep understanding of the intricacies that the project would involve, and was able to explain things to us simply and clearly. He was patient and took the time to answer all our questions, so that we understood all our options and felt comfortable with the proposal. He also helped us to make informed decisions about where to cut costs in order to keep the project within our budget, as well as where it was worth it to spend the money and not cut corners. The project itself went very smoothly. Everyone on the team was friendly, and they worked very efficiently. A few times when questions or concerns came up, I called William and they were addressed immediately. One of our big worries when we started the project was that a company was going to come in with a low bid and then raise the price with “surprises” once the project started. William was very up front with the pricing, and let us know what would happen if they uncovered anything unexpected after the roof was opened up. Thankfully, no surprises were found, and we were billed the exact amount that we were initially quoted! A few small unexpected things even came up during the project that they could have easily “nickel and dimed” us for, but they just took care of them without any additional charges. The new roof, soffits, eves, fascia, and gutters that KeyPrime installed look great, and we are extremely happy! They did a great job restoring the beauty to our historic house. Our experience with KeyPrime was exceptional from start to finish, and we look forward to working with them again on future projects.

I had asked Keyprime Roofing for a quote to replace my roof. However, based on their inspection they determined no repair or replacement was required at this time. I appreciated the honest assessment of the condition of our roof. Their representative was responsive and professional. I will definitely call Keyprime Roofing again when it's time to replace our roof.

I had a large piece of aluminum siding come off in a storm. Keyprime was very responsive and very easy to work with. They did an excellent job and the price for the work was fair. I would hire them again!

Tom from KeyPrime provided us a competitive quote for redoing most of our exterior. We asked for a quote for vinyl siding and windows, gutters and roofing on our house and garden shed. We appreciated his patience and experience particularly explaining window types and brands.

Smooth as silk! We worked with Key Prime a few years ago to replace our roof. We had some storm related damage to the fascia and a small area where the soffit needed ti be replaced. Just like with the reoof project, Key Prime was easy to work with and they were true to their word EVERY step of the way with time lines, pricing, and quality of work. They are a top- notch business!

Every part of the project was a thoroughly professional experience from the quote to review of the completed siding. These are the business and trades people that you dream of finding when you do not have a reference from friends or family. William's demeanor and questions at the sales quote visit immediately showed his experience and competence. Project supervisor Nick was an excellent communicator and a skilled tradesman. The crew was friendly, polite and did an excellent job installing James Hardy siding and aluminum soffit with fascia. It looks great and feels even better with lower heating bills already. Jennifer in the office kept us informed and updated. Contract, price, materials, labor, service and completion review were all outstanding. They also went above and beyond to demolish and build a new deck in time for a summer ending birthday party. I would not hesitate to call them for our next project and neither should you.

The communication with Nick was great. He not only knows the ins and outs of the work, but was completely no pressure when we were getting our quote. The roof and gutter look great and we're really happy with the results!

It was good. I wish the workers had properly protected my deck as they were supposedly required to do. The end result was some boards needing replacing, which Keyprime did complete but prevention goes much farther and is more appreciated than fixing a preventable error. There were communication issues along the way but all things resolved in the end. Some other sloppiness which had to be corrected, and it was. Time will tell if the problem was overall corrected but my hopes are high at this point.

It went great - William and the crew at Key Prime were everything I expected from a professional contractor. They were easy to work with and William took time at the meeting for our estimate to explain what additional work needed to be done to our shakes and why. No other contractor provided such a clear, concise explanation. They were there when they said they would be and the work was completed in a timely manner. William and the office staff are great to work with.

Excellent experience; William (owner & estimator) came out & understood what we wanted & also pointed out some existing issues that needed to be addressed, to include things that we DIDN'T need. As scheduled, his installer (Vadim) did an excellent job. My only concern (not a complaint) was that a thunderstorm was approaching and Vadim insisted on remaining on the roof to finish his work! Fortunately, all went well & he came off the roof under his own power (so to speak).

Key Prime was one of four estimates I received. The owner showed up on time, did a thorough assessment and gave me a detailed estimate for several different shingle products. The price was fair so I hired them and they were ready to put me on their schedule in early Spring. The work was started on time despite dealing with some late Spring snow. The roofing crew was respectful of my property and showed up as promised each day. After installing the roof, the property was swept thoroughly for nails and leftover roofing materials. Communication was absolutely great and emails and phone calls were promptly answered and after the whole thing was complete I was sent a parcel which included a small notebook with the final documents and included a receipt, lien release, Limited Lifetime Warranty Form and copy of the original contract. This was one of the better contractor experiences I have had and I would highly recommend this company if you need a new roof.

The crew showed early and layed out tarps around my home. They were professional, polite and very knowledgeable. They completed the entire roof in one and did a fantastic job. They took a great deal of time cleaning up and checking to be sure all nails were pickup. I would definitely use them again.

Initial sales contact was no pressure and pleasurable. The crew did a great job, completed a couple 'side' projects, did nice cleanup afterwards. Not as pleased with gutter install, but overall very good. I would bring them back. I gave the crew a little something extra on the side, because they were hard workers and I was in a good mood.

The project went fine - I thought they did a great job assessing what needed to be done and following through in a timely manner as well as doing what I thought was a really good job with the project itself. There is no doubt that I will use Keyprime again for future projects.

As a recent first time home buyer, Keyprime made the entire process simple and painless. I had all kinds of questions about the process and materials used and the staff were more than happy to answer any question and put my mind at ease. They also do a great job of cutting any unnecessary work from the repair estimate making out of pocket costs lower. The roof looks amazing and the siding looks good as new. It's reassuring to have a company in mind now, especially if we ever have storm damage in the future.
