It was not a good fit.
Description of Work: Consultation and drawing. The drawing was not detailed and could have been cut and pasted from just about anywhere. A follow up call to request more detail resulted in no response.

Description of Work: I bought a "Big Deal" for complete 3D renderings for a remodeling project. The service provider, after meeting with us to discuss the project, told us they did not want to do the job, that it was not in their "wheel-house" even though the project had been described to them prior to the meeting.

Member purchased a big deal entitled "$49 for Custom Kitchen Design with Complete 3D Renderings for you to Keep." Prior to coming out to see him, I had a discussion with him in which he described his project. Even though it involved the reconstruction of a garage, it sounded similar to a project that we have done before. I sent our kitchen designer out to see him to deliver a kitchen finishes design and a 3D rendering (per the Big Deal coupon) and to evaluate the other aspects of the job. The project turned out to be much larger than I anticipated and would, in my designer's estimation, require the involvement of an architect and a surveyor. We could have tapped someone from each of those professions, but the extensive work we've done in our primary areas of expertise (kitchen & bath), has not properly prepared us to take on this particular job. The alterations to the roof line would have proven particularly bothersome. I felt that recommending a builder that is better equipped for the job was the prudent action. I recommended a fantastic builder that is well suited for the job, excited to have an opportunity to work with Scott and fully capable of delivering his project. Scott took the opportunity to evaluate his brief interaction with K2 and we appreciate that, there was a lesson to be learned on our end. However Scott, I noticed that you failed to grade us on the three categories that Angie's List asks its members to provide grades for: punctuality, responsiveness and professionalism. How did we perform in these categories? Would you mind submitting a grade here as well? I am sorry that your interaction with us wasn't more helpful. Chad

Description of Work: The rep came to my house to quote a bathroom remodel and spent more time talking about her personal life than the job at hand. They were not able to give me a breakdown of the costs when I asked for one either.
