K2 Bath Deck & Kitchen

We had K2 remodel our Master Bathroom. The designer Stephen had great ideas. The project turned out better than we could have expected. The crews were amazing. We would definitely hire them again.

The K2 team helped me design the perfect deck to be built around a new hot tub. Their design team was creative and responsive. The installer was incredibly fast with excellent attention to detail. The project manager was diligent in keeping me informed on schedule and what was needed from me. I’m very satisfied with the work and have already contracted them to remodel a bathroom as well.

I am extremely happy with the services provided by K2. The work was done on time and within budget. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work. From start to finish everyone that came into my home was professional and very knowledgeable. I can't recommend them enough.

Overall, the project went great. Stephen came over to my house and helped me visualize what my old bathroom could look like. I couldn’t be happier with the work that was done and my bathroom is now so much brighter and I absolutely love the new vanity!

It has been almost a year since they started my deck project and it is still not done. They installed the deck but were suppose to replace the stone gravel they removed and have not. I have called Bill the project manager. He told me they would be out in a couple of weeks. Well that was 4 months ago. Now he will not return my calls. I then called the salesman a month ago. He told me he would call Bill. Well still nothing. They are good at taking your money but not completely the job. Another side note, I asked them not to place the lumber on my grass ...they did anyways. It killed my grass. I asked about this also. Bill said they would fix that also. Guess what that never happen either!

I hired K2 because I liked their people; because their ideas and thoughts on the remodel furthered my own, and they came with good references. I had them redo my main bathroom from the studs out, and push out a wall to get more room for a walk-in shower (in place of the tub). They built a knee wall for the shower and tiled the floor, the shower and the walls up to chair rail height; installed a new pedestal sink and toilet, and hung three wall cabinets. I am very pleased with the results and impressed with the craftsmanship, especially regarding the tile; I requested a basket weave design for the floor and subway tile for the walls, and they did an excellent job. They did a lot of work in the house but always took pains to clean and pick things up at the end of the day. The reasons I would be ambivalent about hiring them again were poor to middling communications and the length of time it took to complete the work. Regarding communications, there were few check-ins during the project -- unless I initiated them -- and I was often in the dark about what was happening until it was too late to do anything about it. My biggest gripe along this line is that I didn't get the sink I had contracted for. I had chosen one with an especially wide lip and flat bottom for maximum utility, but the one installed was of a different brand, with a curved bottom and a narrower lip. By the time I realized this, the sink had been installed; it's a fine sink, but it was annoying that we hadn't talked beforehand. The toilet had been chosen to match the sink, but that too was different. Regarding the time of the project: When we first discussed the work, they talked about 3 to 4 weeks, perhaps starting in January or February. When I signed on the dotted line, it was 6 to 8 weeks. In the end, the project was launched in April and took a full 13 weeks. I recognize that it's impossible to guarantee a completion date, but my friends thought the project took way too long and in the end I have to say I agree. Much of my frustration came toward the end, when the project was nearly wrapped up but they had neglected to re-install the duct grate and neatly trim out the opening in the drywall. The project manager, a very good guy (I liked all the K2 people on the project, from the salesman to the workers), came to the house twice on the weekends to take care of some last-minute tasks, which I appreciated. But by the end I was terribly anxious to shoo all out of them out of the house, clean things up and get things back in order. Bottom line: K2 does very good work and my experience with them was satisfactory. But they still left some room for improvement, which is why I can't give them five stars all around.

We love our new kitchen! We had a great experience with the K2 crew. Starting with Teresa who helped us so much with the design and picking out all the detailed items for the whole kitchen. She was incredibly helpful even when we changed our minds on some of the selections. The whole crew had such a “can-do” attitude. The small arch that we really wanted to take out to let in more light was no problem. It changes the whole kitchen and it’s so much better. Paul, our project manager, went above and beyond to make all the little details look A+. He made an incredibly beautiful threshold for our kitchen to the porch. The “floor” guy was amazing in matching our existing wood floors to the rest of our house. Jon coordinated everything and did an amazing job – he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and that included us getting a whole new beautiful back door that also changed the light in the kitchen. We have an older home and you all made the kitchen bright and new but still look great in our home. We’ve recommended K2 to several friends and neighbors. Thanks, K2!!!

We had a walk through closet space into a shared bathroom that we wanted converted into a master bath (sink, toilet, shower). We worked with several companies, and went with K2 mainly due to the fact that they sent out a designer first to work with us and come up with fantastic ideas we never considered. The project went very smoothly, and we were impressed at every step with their care and professionalism, but during the teardown and then during the installation. They were very accommodating to requests / suggestions throughout the process. The finished product is amazing and I'm still shocked they pulled off what they did in the space. Post-project, we have a couple issues with cracked tiles and they came out very quickly to replace, which I really appreciated. We really couldn't have been happier, and they will be on our shortlist for future bathroom and kitchen projects!!

We hired K2 to remodel our kitchen and two bathrooms. Their quote was similar to other quotes we got, but we received much more. The designers came up with great ideas for both projects that showed they had listened to us and observed our taste in the rest of the house. Their craftspeople were very skilled and easy to work with. The materials, especially the cabinets, were high quality and beautiful. Best of all, K2 was very responsive to our questions and comments (something we have not always encountered with contractors). When we contacted them, we got a quick response by text, or more frequently, a visit to the house that day. We have already highly recommended K2 to several of our friends and neighbors.

My husband and I would like the opportunity to thank K2 for the beautiful job they did on our bathroom remodel. It started with the Sales Person Chelsea. She knew what could be done in our small bath and presented a great selection of products to make it happen. Our Project Manager Damon, coordinated all aspects of the operation. He made sure materials were delivered, permits were issued, professionals were where they needed to be and the work was completed to our satisfaction. K2 employs true professionals starting with our skillful General Contractor Dustin, as well as plumbers and electricians. This is the 2nd bathroom K2 has remodeled for us. We would hire K2 again and certainly would highly recommend them to our friends and family.

K2 did an entire remodel of both our bathrooms, including new fixtures, floor, ceiling retexture, painting, custom glass shower doors, and tiling. They broke through a wall to split a large closet into two and moved another wall and plumbing for one of the showers. We had to purchase the light fixtures separately as well as the upgraded toilet we wanted for one of the bathrooms. The work started about eight weeks after the quote and it took them two months to complete, which was exactly what they originally estimated. I can't say enough great things about Gustavo, who was the primary skilled worker on site. He was professional, friendly, punctual, and attended to every detail. Michelle, the project manager, was good about communicating next steps, and the plumbing team and electrician were all courteous and efficient. I would use this company again.

Damon, Tony and Joe were fabulous. Damon was on top of project. Joe is an incredibly talented craftsman and Tony is a hard worker and talented craftsman.

From the initial design meeting to the final clean up, this project was a spectacular success. Shout-out (and thanks) to Damon who oversaw the project and Dustin who did the installation of tile, cabinets, painting, etc. Beautiful, beautiful tile work and careful attention to the smallest of details. It was a pleasure having them in my home. This was my SECOND time calling K2. I was so impressed with the work they did on our main bathroom a few years ago, I called them again for this project. Highest recommendation!

Below is the exact note I sent to the owners of K2. A quick note to let you know how pleased we are with the project K2 just completed in our upstairs bathroom. Every aspect of the project went as planned and there were no surprises. Stephen: Stephen was the first face we saw from K2. First impressions matter. Stephen met us at our house and spent well over 6 hours reviewing and tweaking our design until it was one we liked aesthetically and was within our budget. Stephen spent more time than anyone with us not knowing if we would award the job to K2 or not. That in itself was impressive. Stephan was thorough and knowledgeable - he was well prepared with samples to show us too. Stephen represented K2 as a knowledgeable and capable professional. John Hunt: John was the key to a successful project. Every project has little items that don't go as planned. There were no delays or setbacks in our project. Any surprise items that occurred were completely transparent to us (as they should be). While John made us aware of the timeline and these minor items, he also took care of everything in conjunction with each individual craftsman. In other words, we were never blamed for anything and we had no surprise change orders to our project. John was in continuous communication with us and with each tradesperson to ensure he was doing his job correctly and as we had designed. A good project manager completes his project on time and within or under budget and does not blame the homeowner for any small nuances that may occur and that are typical with home renovation projects. We could not have asked for a better Project Manager and are very pleased with John. Patrick Balmer: What can I tell you that you already don't know about Patrick? Patrick is a consummate professional and expert craftsman. Simply put, Patrick did an amazing job - truly amazing! Patrick's attention to the most minuscule detail as well as his quest for perfection showed throughout the project. Cutting tiles for a geometrically correct pattern in our new shower as well as for the floor and baseboard trim takes a lot of patience. A LOT OF PATIENCE. It is a difficult and VERY time consuming job. Patrick made the job look easy and never complained. Take the shower and floor tiles for example - this is a cumbersome and frankly quite boring task. It, however, requires an experienced expert and a person with patience to go through the monotony of making several hundred cuts to get a perfect aesthetic completion. Patrick did this and never complained once. Finally, each and every day Patrick left the house, the house and bathroom was spotless. Absolutely spotless and you could not even tell that construction was occurring during the duration of the project. Plumbers/Electrician: The plumbers and electricians were here for short spurts of time and were properly scheduled by John to be here while Patrick was doing his work, yet without interfering with Patrick's work. All of them were professional, polite and got the job done properly. Plumbers and electricians were here for such a short period of time that I can't say much more other than each did an excellent job and kept their workspace clean. Shower Glass: The glass craftsman was here for about a half day and did a beautiful job. We like the fact that the doors have rubber "squeegees" on them to prevent moisture from escaping while in the shower. Again, he was only here for part of a day and did an excellent job with installation and caulking. In summary, we could not be any happier with the outcome on this project!!

For the most part, very well. The main contractor on the job( Joe) was excellent and incredibly conscientious. There were a few snafus that were easily ironed out and overall am very pleased with my bathroom...

K2 did a great job remodeling our master bathroom. We had a 30+ year old fiberglass tube that needed to be replaced. They also removed the vanity/sink, toilet and tile floor. They installed a great walk-in shower and glass pivoting door. New vanity, sink, tile and toilet. Very pleased with the work that was done and how it looks. We received 4 other quotes for the job. The team - Stephen, Damon and Dustin and others, were professional (on-time, cleaned up after themselves, etc.). Would definitely recommend them to others and use them again if needed.

We had a great experience with K2 Moby Decks. From the design to the quality of the service and construction, everything was delivered exactly as promised at the agreed upon price. The deck is better than we had hoped for when we first started looking for a contractor, everyone was great to work with and professional all the way.

Steve Husby visited us in late January and designed the deck right in front of us. With a small deposit we were guaranteed an early start date. The beginning of April we were contacted and the workers had to shovel snow to start. A week later we had a beautiful deck.

We did a major master bathroom remodel- moved the shower and toilet, installed new vanities, bathtub, etc. We were extremely happy with the work of K2. The whole process went smoothly and we dealt with quality people every step of the way- from Steven during the design phase, to Michelle managing the process, to each and every worker along the way. We felt like K2 was looking out for our best interests. We noticed the workers did the small things- installed extra insulation in areas I had concerns with and helped install new trim during the process that took a lot of extra work. Communication was great throughout the work. Overall, we were extremely happy with the process and would not hesitate to hire K2 Bath and Design again.

Based on the reviews I read, I decided to hire K2 to remodel my kitchen. What I look for in a service provider is the quality of the work, how professional the individuals performing the work conduct themselves, how they clean their work space after completing the job and how well did they respect my personal property. K2 rated very high on all of those points. The remodeling was done from January to March in Minnesota, and to say the least it was very messy outside. When all was said and done, the kitchen looked great and the carpets, walls and furniture were in very good condition. Kudos to the crews that came and went. I would highly recommend K2 for design suggestions to the final walk through.

I made contact with five companies and interviewed three before hiring K2. While they weren't the least expensive of the bunch, they were comparable; I felt their bid was the most realistic and likely to stick. I was right--they did not nickel and dime me, they over-delivered, and working with Teresa (designer) and Jon (PM) was great. This was my first time undertaking a project like this on my own, and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. The process had a few bumps along the way, which K2 managed and remedied with ease, and my new space is gorgeous. I get loads of compliments and am so glad I did it.

It took longer than I expected, partly due to some materials/product problems. K2 went over the top to correct errors and replaced every cabinet door because a few had small cracks and discoloration. My project manager, Paul, took care of any problem swiftly and very professionally. K2 never tried to talk me into accepting anything I wasn’t happy with - rather just made it “right”. Overall - I’m thrilled with the new kitchen and their workmanship. Theresa and Paul’s design ideas of the entire job give it that “wow” look. Thank you K2.

First I have to say that being able to see all samples in our home and picking cabinetry, tiles, mirrors, lights, faucets, towel bars all to match was worth a lot to me. I'd rather pay more do it that way than go from one shop to another trying to come up with everything ourselves. Stephen helped us pick out a look that we loved. One Major hiccup though not unexpected was discovery of need to replace a tub and subfloor not in the original contract. High suspicion of damage was revealed when flooring was removed. This of course hiked up the price. Minor hiccups with a few incorrect items delivered which slowed process down, however Dustin and Mike worked extra on 2 Saturdays to catchup and they actually finished the project 3 days earlier than projection despite waiting for some pieces. They just kept busy with something all the time. These guys were such perfectionists that they kept me happy! That's not easy... ask anybody that knows me! Damon was always great about getting any hiccups taken care of as quickly as possible. They were all great about explaining what next steps were in a fluid situation. As much as we thought we liked what we picked out, seeing it with our own eyes when it was done was way, way better. It is obvious these folks specialize in Bath & Design like it says in there name. I can't imagine a better company! We are overwhelmingly satisfied!!
