she came out once, gave me a bid but was slow responding. Left her a message and she never called back.I did not use her. Very nice and personable but I felt unreliable.

Ms Grant has lovely samples, but seems to be unable to follow through when it comes to installation. The installer was incompetent and we were told that he was the best she had. He left his trash in our home and didn't finish the job. He came back to finish, and only did half of what needed to be done, so we requested a different installer. It is now 3 months later and we are still waiting.

I was never comfortable with this person. She seemed as if she wanted to be somewhere else. I felt pressured to make a decision on a granite selection however, when I'd email her of which granites I wanted to see, she'd never get back to me. I was pressured to make a decision about the granite choice by June 12th but when it came to installation, I was told a day before it was to go in that it would be three weeks. I called Midwest Tile and they said the granite was still setting there and had not gone to the fabricator. Our cabinets were measured and template on June 23rd, we didn't receive our granite until July 22nd. On to the backsplash. We had a picture and sample of which backsplash I wanted (Ms. Grant had taken a picture of it at Kateo the last week of May). I was quoted a price for installation and backsplash that turned out to be $60 a square foot, in addition, she said I'd have to pay$500 more for epoxy and she said we really needed epoxy and I'd have to seal it myself. I was thinking that $60 a square foot must not go very far. I chose to go with regular grout. A date for installation was set. When I arrived home from work that day, the installer was cutting an unpolished limestone__it was suppose to be polished marble. He was frustrated and said he'd never seen anything like this for backsplashes and that it looked as if they "sandblasted the limestone". I felt terrible but I said I can't live with this and he said he saw my sample and we made the right decision and Ms. Grant didn't understand the differences in stones___okay, great! Ms. Grant tells me we'll get together on Wed. or Thurs to pick out something else__I thought I already had picked out a backsplash!!! She never got back to us for almost 4 weeks. Four weeks later, I told her I had been to the tile shop and knew which tiles I wanted (they were the same ones as I had picked out at Kateo) She tells me that I should pay the restocking fee on the limestone tiels and when I tell her that her installer said there was no responsibility on my part, she backed off. Then, she tells me I owe her for a consultation designer fee. For What? A botched ordering job on my backsplash? I asked her to give me a quote on installing the the tiles I had selected at Lakeville Tile shop____I got one the next day in writing. Her quote was almost $1900 plus the cost of the tiles. Meanwhile, I had contacted another tile installer and his quote was $800 plus the cost of the tiles and he said he would advise against using the epoxy as had the tile people in Lakeville. Do not use this person if you happen to get kitchen from Nerstrand Custom Cabinets.
