Ivanov Drywall Service

Ivan was prompt for each visit to my home from the initial estimate through completion of the work...all of which took place within a week! Ivan's final price was right on his estimate.

Ivan was very prompt in bidding the project. He did come under all other bids we had done. The work was completed on time. We enjoyed talking with Ivan, he is a very personable and friendly guy. This is the first ceiling we had smoothed in our house and we love it. The process is very messy and Ivan did an adequate job of cleaning, even though it's difficult to get it completely clean - it's such a dusty project. We will be calling Ivan back for more popcorn removal.

Ivan was very helpful with questions, and made the changes that we requested. He was very positive about the job, and he was careful to complete the job as requested. He was punctual and professional in all areas of the job.

I called him and requested for a weekend schedule. He was able to come in on a Saturday morning and got the job done very fast. He cleaned up the place when he was done. I was happy with his work.

Plaster turned out well, and painted beautifully.

I recently removed the wallpaper from my bathroom and as a result the drywall needed some major repairs. I contacted Ivan on a Tuesday and he dropped by that afternoon to take a look. He recommended to skim coat the walls and said he could start working on it the next day. That sold me! I was amazed at the responsiveness from Ivan. He came by during the afternoon of the next day, put one layer on and said that he would be in the next morning to put the next layer on. On the third day he sanded the walls. Now they are ready for me to prime and paint them. I would definitely hire Ivan again.

Ivan was awesome. He came out on a Sunday to give me an estimate. He started work the following Tuesday, working in the house while I was at work. Plastic sheeting was used to keep the dust out of the rest of the house. Wednesday the work was left to dry, and this took a little longer due to the extreme humidity that week. Thursday the plaster was sanded and smoothed for the ceiling and looked awesome. Painting was not included in this job, and was something I did the following weekend. If I do need any drywall work in the future I will be using Ivanov again.

The whole job went very smoothly. I was asking for an extremely tight turn around on the project and Ivan was willing and able to knock it out. Ivan was very quick to respond to my inquiry and was available to come out and take a look at the job that evening. He provided a straightforward estimate on site including labor and materials. He was back to start the work the very next day, which was a Saturday. He came back on Monday and then again on Tuesday and just like that he was done. It was like magic. The work looks good. Drywall is a messy business and I think he did a good job keeping the dust contained. Plus, he followed up to make sure I was satisfied and I was. I am so grateful he was able to work this project into his schedule and really appreciate how easy he was to work with.

I called Ivan on Monday, May 2nd and he met me that afternoon to give an estimate. He gave me a quote on the spot. We needed the project completed by May 20th. I confirmed that we wanted him to do the work on May 5th. His quote was very basic, so I sent him a fax to confirm the scope of the work, price, and when we needed it done. This worked well. He said he could start on May 10th, which he did. He said the project would take a maximum of 5 days, but it was done in 4. I stopped in after the 2nd day and the progress looked good. He let me know on Friday that he was done. I looked at the work and it looked perfect. He touched up a couple nail holes in the wall that weren't part of the job.

The owner arrived without even a tape measure. I had detailed print outs of the entire house which I gave him; otherwise I assume he would have just guessed at the square footage. He wrote down NOTHING. The owner actually asked me if I had figured out how many sheets of drywall were needed.......isn't that his job? The owner was extremely vague about what he would do for us and how. I received a very brief, basic estimate via email which listed labor at $2,760 and had a side note that supplies were estimated at $380 (but that wasn't included in the price.) It did not list any specific details, such as specific room(s) that were included or exactly what was to be done. This unclear estimate was about 70% less than any other business. In addition, the estimate was made out to just "Becky"....my wife's name is not Becky and apparently he forgot or never wrote down our last name.

I contacted three plastererst on Angie's List. Ivan is the only one who responded. In fact, he responded the same day the request was made. Ivan set up a time for an estimate, arrived when scheduled, and gave a very reasonable estimate for the work to be done. A start date was established. Ivan followed the schedule, did a quality job and was very friendly, personable, and professional. I would definitely use his services in the future.

Ivan was great - nice to work with and very professional. We have an old house so he had a lot of small variances to work with. The whole process went very smoothly and I would definitely use him again!

On first trip, he provided an estimate on-site, which is remarkable. We were able to establish a date/time for the start of work very easily. Once he started, he was very focused on accomplishing the project. He strives for excellence and is very resourceful. We added an additional aspect to the project and he was very flexible and made it a priority, which we were greatly pleased.

Started work two days after I called. Completed work promptly. Ceiling looks great. Very pleasant to work with.

Once again Ivan did a great job. This was the second time I used Ivan and he continued his great workmanship, prompt service and fair price. Would I use him again... I just did and it work out great!!

I called Ivan about a week before I hoped to start work. He came over right away and gave me a written estimate at that time. He was flexible with my schedule and started as soon as I was ready for him. Ivan subs out the hanging part of the job. He let me know when his worker would be coming to work and he showed up on time as promised. He got to work right away and single handedly carried most of the sheets of drywall sheets in from the garage until Ivan arrived to help him, and go over the project. Ivan then left, and four hours later all the drywall was up! It was amazing to watch. I thought it was going to take a lot longer with all the cuts into the ceiling (17) and the fact that the addition wasn't framed correctly and isn't square. He said it would have gone even faster if he didn't have to cut some 2x4's and do some bracing to account for that. I needed insulation blown into the new attic area after the drywall was up, and Ivan worked with me to make sure I could get this done when my insulation guy showed up. Ivan wanted to wait until they were finished with their work before taping and mudding in order to prevent problems with his mudding caused by movement around the attic. He cheerfully took a couple hours off before he started mudding while the insulation people did their thing. He returned on schedule and the taping and mudding were next. Having done a fair amount if this over time (and not really enjoying it much), I was impressed with how quickly he worked and the nice tools he has to ensure a good finish. He took about 5 hours to do the first coat and left. Since he used those good tools he didn't have any excess mud in the joints, which meant he could come back the next day and do the second coat. He returned two days later (he didn't work on Sunday) to finish up with the sanding. He has good sanding equipment and there was minimal dust. I've since primed the walls and painted the ceiling, and only see a spot or two where I need add a tiny amount of spackle...and I'm very very picky about that kind of stuff. Any normal person wouldn't notice. The ceiling is beautiful. All the cuts were perfect and I cannot tell where any of the seams or butt-joints are. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with all of the work and thankful to have met someone who I can recommend whole-heartedly.

Ivan did a great job. After an initial call, he scheduled a walk through of the area to suit my schedule and prepared a quote on the spot. After I checked a few others to shop, I felt confident Ivan would do the best job for the money. He definitely came through. Ivan scheduled to start the work in a few days and he even changed his weekend schedule to accommodate the timing of when I needed the work done. I would definitely recommend Ivan and certainly use him again. Ivan's a good guy.

He was always on time and did a very nice job on the ceiling. We liked it so much, in fact, that we added a bedroom and bathroom to be redone as well. There were some issues with the walls so we had him come back to fix them which he did without seeming put-out or inconvenienced in any way. In the end, we were very happy with the work he did and will definitely recommend him to others.

Ivan was first highly recommended by a contractor. When he came out to do the bid, he was on time and we liked his personality right away. He also ended up being the lowest bid on the job, so it was an easy choice. We had just purchased a contemporary home that had vaulted textured ceiling on the entire main floor, about 1750 sq feet. in all. We had Ivan remove the texture and paint all the walls. Ivan exceeded our expectations on the job. We could not be happier and are so impressed with the work he did on the ceilings. They could not be any smoother, which was quite a feat bc a lot of the texture had been painted over making it more difficult to remove. Ivan is a great person and was very flexible with our requests. He completed the work a few days ahead of time and stuck to the budget. I completely trust Ivan in our home and I will definitely be using his talents in future projects. Hands down beautiful work!!

Ivan responded to my call quickly and we set a date/time to have him view the job site so he could provide an estimate. He arrived promptly on the scheduled date/time (even a little early, and reviewed the job. I never heard from him again.

From start to finish, Ivan was truly great to work with. He was punctual, responsive, professional, trustworthy, skilled, hardworking, and all of it came at what I felt was a very fair price. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to ANYONE looking for a good person to do a good job on time and on budget. He was really nice to work with. I must say too that in finishing my basement I've had to hire a number of different people for various jobs, and none of them come close to Ivan's combo of professionalism, punctuality and price. Came out the night I called for a bid. Started a few days later. Everything looks great and he was fun to talk to. Nice guy!

Went well. Estimate was very fair. Showed up on time and finished ahead of schedule. I will continue to use him for our projects and refer him to others.

He missed his appointment. I had to call to get him to come.
