Tony came to our house and walked through each room that we wanted cleaned after a remodel project. Later that evening Dena called with the quote. They were able to get to our house early the next week. With a crew of five, they very systematically and efficiently went through the house completing all the requested tasks and the extra ones I added that day. We were so pleased by the work, and the charge came in as quoted. We decided to hire their services now on a monthly basis. Excellent work, great crew, exceptional experience.

I found Tony and Dena based on their uniformly high evaluations on Angie's List. Moreover, I like to support smaller businesses that are close to home. When I first called I left a voicemail. Dena called me back within a day to set up a time to give an in house estimate. Her husband Tony came over to give us an overview of what they'd do and how much they'd bill. We had house cleaners in Seattle prior to moving to St. Paul which we liked - however, I can only say that Tony and Dena are FAR SUPERIOR!!! First of all, they have a small crew - it's Tony, Dena, and a few select employees - at the time that we hired them - one of their employees had worked with the team for 10-15 years. It's obvious to me that if you have an employee stay that long with the team that Tony and Dena are doing something correct - we had 3 or 4 different cleaners in Seattle (it was also a small local company owned by a couple). All fine, but they'd work 9-12 months and move on, and we would get a new person. Tony and Dena bill at $36 per person hour plus tax. Our house is 3.5 hours. I can't even begin to put in writing how uniformly outstanding their work is. We have them come every 3 weeks. We gave them a key to the house - they let themselves in. Their attention to detail exceeds my own. They are very effective at dusting. They completely disassemble the stove and burner drip pans and clean every 3 weeks. They devour all the soap scum in the shower. They actually clean under the sofa cushions ever 3 weeks (most places promise to do it but it's often skipped). I've never been dissatisfied with the quality of the work. They always show up. They are easy to communicate with (I'm a better e-mailer than a phone user - so I e-mail Dena and she is responsive about changing dates, etc). I've giving them all As. I know that their hourly rate is more expensive - we pay more for the team than we did in Seattle. However, I'm still giving them an A for price. While I was happy with my old cleaner, I never knew how good a team could be. Tony and Dena and crew are worth every penny. While they cost a bit more, you are going to get a very, very, very nice cleaning - very thorough, detailed - and you get to work with nice, honest people that have an outstanding small business that they take pride in and run well.

After an initial game of phone tag, was able to connect - and so happy we did! Dena came out for an estimate and was very thorough and clear on what would be done and what wouldn't, explaining the reasons why. They came and cleaned while I was on vacation. What a treat to come home to a house cleaner than I had ever seen it. The house literally sparkles - tiles, glass on photo frames, floors. Was expecting the cleaning product smell - but not at all. Hoping to schedule a monthly visit and have already given their contact information to a colleague. Excellent!

I seen that the rating were positive on Angie's List so I decided to use them. they stood out because they were really flexible and did a phenomenal job on the cleaning of the house. The price was right on and I would use them and recommend them again.

This company is reliable and professional. They make sure to understand exactly what work you want done. I will continue to call on Dena when I need help, because I trust her.

They did a great job at first, and I used them for over a year. As time went on, the cleanings were sometimes good and sometimes not. It is not always the same people doing the work which may explain the variation. I often felt I could have done a better job myself. The cost seemed to be a bit high so I expected a very good, thorough, consistent job every time. This is why I eventually looked for someone new. *Amended* It should be noted that Dina of Housecare Extraordinaire did contact us after this report and show a real desire to correct the issues we listed. An original version of this report mentioned that it seemed that the crew left earlier than we were billed for, but after discussing the details with Dina we now believe we were wrong and that the hours worked and billed for were legit. The billable hours was a big part of the reason we gave them a "C" overall, however with that issue resolved we revised our grade to a "B." Issues of inconsistency and punctuality prohibited an "A."

It went great! Tony came to look at the house & talk to us about what we wanted. He gave us an estimate (approx. 9-10 manhours) and then we scheduled the cleaning with Dena over the phone. Tony and two employees arrived on time and immediately got to work. They were friendly & efficient. They were there an hour beyond the estimated time but we were still charged based on the original estimate (less the Angies list coupon). Very, very happy with our clean house! I've never seen our stovetop look so good. Would highly recommend them to anyone! They were also great about letting our dog in & out of the house as she desired while we ran some errands. Great company.

They did an amazing cleaning job. I have sensitivities to harsh chemical cleaners and they used natural cleaners like vinegar. Plus they hand washed our downstairs wood floors with a special cleaner I provided. The place really shined. They worked hard, were all really nice and did a great job. I was a little surprised by the cost, but they had a coupon, which helped, plus I'm not used to hiring cleaning services. I would say they charged a fair price for the work they did.

They are quick and wonderful. They take of me very well. I'm very happy with them and they are very thoughtful and thorough. They are very nice people. they are extremely accomodating. I do pay a little extra because I like them so much.

I called Tony and Dena for an estimate for a house cleaning. I am a very "casual" housekeeper and m,y home needed a deep cleaning. Tony came on time for the estimate and explained what he and his crew would do. We arranged a time for the staff to clean. I was very pleased with the work they did. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean, even the grout around the bathtub. The base boards and carpets were clean and the wooden blinds and furniture were dusted. Tony called the next day to ask if I was satisfied. I certainly was.

I was very impressed with Tony's quick response to my request for an estimate. He was courteous and efficiant. I then scheduled a date with Tony's wife Deena. Tony and crew showed up on the agreed date at the very tail end of the agreed on time which was fine. They immediately set to work and I headed to the lower level of the house. They were here about 4 hours with 5 people. A few of them were in and out but I didn't pay too much attention to that. All in all they did a good job. I wasn't crazy about their cleaning products. A very harsh smell however the house needed a deep clean and they did it. After looking at several other providers I can't help but to think they are very expensive. I think 550.00 is abit excessive however since I don't have alot of experience with house cleaners please be aware that is simply my opinion. They also estimated 138.00 to clean my very small house once every 3rd week. That IMHO was way too much. However here is the deal breaker. When I hired Tony I was very specific about one thing. No Rush Limbaugh in my home. The first time I came upstairs to see the progress MY radio was turned off and Deena was wearing a headset listening to Limbaugh. I know this because seeing that my radio was off I nicely said I hope you aren't listening to Limbaugh. She basically said she was. I made it clear that didn't make me happy but wasn't willing to make a scene so for then I let it go. Frankly if a new employer said that to me I would have removed the headset and apologized. She didn't and the more thought I gave it the more it made me angry. They were in my home, on my time and on my dime and call me picky but it is offensive to see someone listening to a man that says people such as myself are filth, should be shot etc.etc. I was clear about this from the get go. Listen to whatever racist buffoon you want to listen to. But not in my home and certainly not when I am paying for your time. The thing that makes me smile now is they actually said, "Politics cost us a job so we don't talk about it." I thought, "What the heck do you think you are doing here?" So in conclusion, the job they did was good while expensive. However the headset should have been left at home along with Limbaugh. I honestly liked both of these folks. However I am afraid I'll use someone else inn the future.

Responded next day to my call, set up for an estimate the following week. The estimate was exactly what they charged me. Dena and Tony arrived on time and worked more than 7 hours doing an in-depth post-renovation housecleaning. And that house was really, really dirty and dusty. They were very professional and thorough. I would recommend them to anyone.

I hired Housecare Extraordinaire as a gift for my daughter so that she could get her home deep cleaned. They were responsive, timely, friendly and did the job in an extremely thorough way. They were professional! My daughter and son-in-law were thrilled with the quality of their work. Their house has never been so clean. They had a system (starting from the top of the room, getting cobwebs, etc.) and working down to the floor. All was explained to them when they were out to their home to give an estimate. It is a family business that is run extremely well. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I want to say how impressed I was with their responsiveness. I emailed on Saturday asking for a move-in cleaning later on in the week. Tony called me on Sunday. He said that he doesn't normally disturb customers on Sunday however as my request appeared urgent (it was!). He called me to say that while later in the week wouldn't work, Monday would. We met at the house 30 minutes later for an estimate. He told me everything they would do and asked if I had anything else that they should address. He showed me a detail itemization of the estimated labor hours & cost. He offered to leave out services if price was an issue. They did a very good job, and Tony was very professional. If you are looking for the cheapest people on the block, they may not be the team for you. However if you are looking for a professional company who does a good job, provides clear expectations and timely completion, Housecare Extraordinaire is the team.

It's like having your mom come over and clean your house - they are excellent! Dena and Tony are both professional, efficient, and very nice. They did a whole house cleaning in December, and we just started bi-weekly service. They worked around our budget, and although they are a smidge more expensive than a 'big box' cleaning service, the quality makes it worth it. I appreciate that when they put an appointment on the calendar, even if it's a month out, they arrive promptly without a bunch of reminder calls. Thank you!

It went very well. Dena gave me a phone estimate and then came over to do in a in-person estimate. The in-person estimate was a bit higher due to the peculiarities of my home. The cleaning team was very friendly and considerate. It took them about 7 hours. I would certainly hire them again.

It went terrific. They are pleasant to have come in. they are very punctual and we can depend on them to do a good job.

The service was fantastic. The floors were beautiful and the blinds were finally clean. I would definitely pay for the service again.

They are more expensive than everyone else, but they definitely do a good job. I'm satisfied with the work they do. The only drawback is price; everything else is great.

They did a wonderful job. They gave us an estimate. According to the estimate they were supposed to take 14 hours to finish the job, but they ended up taking 18. However, they stood by their estimate and did not charge us for the extra time they took. They also cleaned up after themselves.

Even though I had been able to reach someone else in the meantime and did not engage her services, still I was highly appreciative of her follow-up and excellent communication. I am very likely to contact this company again if a situation comes up where I need cleaning help.
