I couldn't find anything to complain about (rare for me)

Arne and his people worked quickly and efficiently to seal up all bypasses and blow in cellulose insulation in my attic areas. I was impressed with their skill and professionalism.

It went well, the crew actually showed up twice but the temperatures and weather did not cooperate to go ahead with the work the first time. The second time all went well. It is a small house so the work only took about 1/2 day. The crew did a good clean up job and the owner submitted the paperwork for the Center Point rebate right away so I did not have to wait a long time for the rebate to check to come.

Very well. Crew was friendly and professional. Very clean. Kept me in the loop on progress. Did some extra clean up work and didn't charge us for it. Did the job on time and the quality was top notch.

Due to a re-schedule by another customer, I had a bunch of Houle's crew show up right on time at 7:30 am. Eric, Travis, Rob, and Steve immediately went to work. First up was a preliminary air leakage test of the house.....a very high number! Next was a careful draping of stairs, carpets, and work access area. Then to the attic. The guys applied a foam sealant everywhere an upstairs wall met the ceiling, around every plumbing penetration into the attic, around every light box penetration, etc. also replaced all the styrofoam soffit "chutes". There was special work done on the chimney chase, furnace vent, etc. Finally a cellulose Insulation was blown over the entire attic footprint, and the attic access panel was properly insulated and sealed in place. Great to occasionally watch all of this activity going on! After all the work was completed the final air leakage test was performed. Almost a 40% reduction in air leakage was accomplished!

They foam insulated the 25x25 garage and cellulose insulated the garage and 60x40 attic. Every contractor that has looked at their work has compliment what an amazing job they did. If I ever need insulation work again, I will hire them

I have a 1 1/2 story home with knee walls, so only have a 2 x 4 between the sheet rock (inside) and the roof shingles--not much room for insulation. While having the shingles replaced by another company Houle came out, cut a hole in the roof, pumped in R-50/R-30 cellulose behind the knee walls. The roof boards were pulled off, the existing insulation (three sheets of 1/2" styrofoam) was discarded, and closed-cell polyurethane foam was sprayed into the space between the 2x4s. Now, March 2017, the upstairs is 10 degrees warmer than last winter. Would you consider that a success?

The evaluation for the estimate was very thorough. They arrived promptly and were polite and courteous. The weather did not cooperate a few times so they had to reschedule but they worked to come on days that were convenient for me. Clean up was excellent.

I requested an estimate and Todd showed up punctually and got right to the heart of the problem. He was totally honest in his evaluation of my issue and suggested waiting to adequately fix the issue when I needed my roof redone instead of throwing money at it now and having to throw money at it again later. How refreshing to have someone with a high work ethic that is not out to just take your money!

Owner showed up on time for estimate and estimate was competitive with others. Email & phone communication about scheduling and a few questions was fine. Crew showed up on time, went right to work, got work done and cleaned up. They sealed every possible nook & cranny in addition to the wall cavities. Overall very positive experience!

Houle Insulation was very professional and easy to work with. I received a quote from someone else the was much higher, and the sales person used scare tactics to convince me I needed work done that wasn't necessary. The Houle sales person talked through the whole process with me, and addressed all of my concerns, and specifically told me that some of the things the other sale guys told me were needs were not needed, and he was not interested in spending my money on unnecessary work. I appreciated the integrity of this company. The work was done quickly, and is was done well. I can't wait to see the savings on my heating bill this winter!

Great service - On time, very professional and did a great job!

The crew was professional, arrived on time, and got the job done in 1/2 a day. They came with a crew of 3, so the work got done in a few hours --- it was not a one man show, where it would have dragged on for days. I should also mention that Houle is an approved contractor for the Centerpoint energy insulatiuon rebate program. So if you get this work done, you can get a nice sized rebate after the work is complete. It was also cool to see how the pressure test changed after they finished the work, compared to before.

Houle is great! Arnie came out and made an inspection of our attic and explained exactly what we needed and the process that would be used to achieve the results. The crew arrived as scheduled and explained the process they used once again. They were polite , neat, and answered any questions I had while they completed the job. I would recommend to anyone.

I needed a rush job done to insulate and attic to sell a house (~2,700 sq-ft. attic). They did a great job! Arne's communication was perfect. And his crew also kept us totally informed as to what was happening. They came...they did the job quickly and neatly...and they left! The attic looks fantastic. Simple and easy. I would hire them again in a second.

On the initial call, the company was very helpful and friendly. Arne promptly came out, provided a very understandable estimate and thoroughly checked on the problem. The crew was able to come out within a week. After the work they cleaned up impeccably - they were neat and efficient. I wholeheartedly recommend Houle!

Nothing but great things to say about Houle and the team. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the crew that came out to give the estimate and do the work was on time, efficient, and everything was spotless when they left. I don't know anything about insulation or the science stuff, but they improved by air leakage over 1000 "points" (whatever unit it's measured in), and they will submit paperwork on my behalf to qualify my home for the energy tax credit. They are A rated on Angie's List and have a pristine BBB record. Houle offers a 5% discount to Angie's List members, and if you get a couple neighbors to also do work they'll give a bit more discount. I live in a townhome association, so that was a great feature. I gave a B on responsiveness because I wanted to book my appointment to get the work done right away, and I had to call back twice to get it done after not hearing from them for 4 days after leaving my message that I wanted to do the work quoted in their estimate. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Its an A experience, after 14 years they were still responsive and did a thorough inspection and delivered good customer service. I had hired an independent home inspector to inspect stains on my ceiling, the home inspector claimed that the stains were from condensation from the attic, the inspector thought it may have not been properly sealed. I called Houle to inspect and they did an infrared scan and blower test to make sure everything was fine. They provided me with great customer service after 14 years. I was happy with their responsiveness.

These guys were right on time, friendly, polite, knowledgable, and cleaned up after they were done! From the time they came to our house to give us a bid, to the moment they drove away after completing the work, these guys couldn't have been better. It was a pleasure having them do this job for us and I would ABSOLUTELY use them again. Even if you could find someone to do your job a little cheaper, if your experience was as good as mine, you wouldn't bother even looking for anyone else. These guys are terrific.

They're very professional and very good. I would definitely call them again. They were definitely good. I told them what I needed. They went up and were able to pipe it through the garage. They were done very quickly. They were great. I was pleased with them.

Todd came out to take a look at some water damage we had that we thought was related to a lack of insulation. He came to the house, looked around, and ultimately gave us some advice that didn't require him to do any work. But he was super nice, super professional, and really seemed to know his stuff. He didn't charge a cent for the service call, which was really cool. A very upstanding, ethical guy. We're going to take his advice and contact our roofer. But I'd definitely hire Todd if the need came up.

Houle is a reliable insulation company. The owner Arne came for a free estimate beforehand, he was a really nice guy, patient and knowledgeable. They were able to squeeze in my job on relatively short notice. I was impressed by how thorough they were to protect the house, putting plastic sheeting on doorways and over cabinets, putting cardboard on the countertops, etc. The only issues I had were with clean up: there was numerous protruding staples left behind in the framing and subfloor that had held up the sheeting, and the house seemed dustier after they left (perhaps from their vacuum or the exhaust from the truck). Otherwise, the job looks professional and they honored an Angie's List coupon they had advertised. I referred them to my neighbor and my neighbor hired them as well.
