Description of Work: The Holmlund crew did an excellent job in removing the existing retaining wall and building the new one. Next summer, we will use them again for our next masonry project.

Description of Work: They removed and rebuilt the brick chimney from the roof line up, including a new flue liner. The work included reconnecting an aluminum flue liner and cap for our gas fireplace. They looked hard to find brick that very closely matched the existing 25 year old brick and it looks great - in fact it is difficult to see where the repair starts. Other bids included only a partial fix but they bid the job to do it correctly and the bid was very competitive given the other bids for a partial fix. The job was promptly scheduled and performed on time with a complete clean-up afterward. I would highly recommend this company for similar work and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Description of Work: THEY REMOVED THREE COARSES OF BLOCK ABOVE THE OPENING TO AN OLD WELL HOUSING IN OUR BASEMENT. THE AREA OF BLOCK REMOVED WAS APPROXIMATELY 6 FEET X 3 FEET. THEY THEN INSTALLED A STEEL SUPPORT AT THE TOP OF THE NEW OPENING AND FINISHED THE SIDES OF THE OPENING SO THEY WERE SMOOTH.

Description of Work: GROUND AND TUCKPOINTED OPEN AND BROKEN MORTAR JOINTS ON BRICK FACADE. ALSO INSTALLED A NEW CHIMNEY CAP.

Description of Work: RESPONSIVE TO OUR BID REQUEST BUT GOT A LOWER BID

Description of Work: I GOT A QUOTE TO REPLACE MY CHIMNEY IN 1999. TWO YEARS LATER I RANG THE COMPANY TO ASK IF THEY WOULD HONOR THE QUOTE. A COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE CAME TO MY HOUSE AND RE-CHECKED THE QUOTE. HE PROMISED ME THAT HE WOULD DO THE JOB FOR THE QUOTED AMOUNT. HE LOOKED ME IN THE EYE, SHOOK MY HAND, AND WE AGREED TO DO THE JOB. I ASKED FOR A NEW CONTRACT TO BE DRAWN UP. IT NEVER CAME. HE PROMISED ME TO DROP OFF BRICK SAMPLES. THEY NEVER CAME. I RANG THE OFFICE TO ASK FOR A NEW CONTRACT, THERE WAS NO SIGNATURE FROM THE COMPANY SIDE. I RANG AND ASKED FOR TWO SIGNED CONTRACTS SO THAT I COULD SIGN ONE AND SEND THE OTHER BACK. IT NEVER CAME. FINALLY THE FOREMAN CAME TO CHECK THE JOB. HE RANG THE OFFICE, SAID HE WOULD NOT DO THE JOB AND LEFT. I RANG THE OFFICE A FEW TIMES AND JUST GOT THE RUN AROUND. THEY WANTED TO ADD $1500 TO THE QUOTE BEFORE STARTING THE JOB.
