He did a good job. I am happy with it. I had talked to three or four people and with making the block he seemed (I was looking at the reviews and stuff like that) like the way to go... He did three windows. I would recommend him. I had a couple of other guys come out here as well and he is kind of a one man shop I think, but his quality and stuff is a lot better than some of the other guys. Having done the masonry work before, he did a real good job. I didn't compare the price. He is nice in quality. The only issue that I had is the first day he came out here to install them, he brought the wrong sized windows. I don't know how he sells them like that so he had to come back the next day with new windows. I did have some time off work which wasn't a huge deal, but if I hadn't planned and happened to have the next day, it would have been a large inconvenience. I think he gave me a $45 off for that. His punctuality was good. He showed up when he said he would. He finished in four or five hours. I would use him again in the future.

I suggest you call Kevin at Holler Glass Block. Several of these reviews complained that Holler Glass Block did not return their calls. I also had to contact Kevin a second time to make an appointment, but I’m sure glad I did. Kevin Holler is a soft-spoken, thoughtful man who does really excellent glass block work. I believe he is simply more focused on (doing good) work than he is in the other aspects of running a small business – If you are interested in excellent results more than smiley-customer service, go ahead and call him again, you won’t be sorry. He was very helpful with design suggestions and provided all necessary details for my preparation, for his work. The project was to build 7 by 6 foot glass block shower wall, and to replace 7 wood and glass basement windows with vented glass block versions. Kevin gently said; “anyone can do glass block windows, but walls are hard…, and I’m the best” – which felt much more like an honest assessment than a brag, and it proved to be true. I later learned that he had been a Bricklayer for many years. Anyone may be able to build and install windows, but my new windows have a really nice non-symmetrical block pattern that makes them stand out. The wall is perfectly straight and the grout lines are amazingly even and uniform. There was zero debris for me to clean up inside the windows (or wall) and only a few lumps of mortar outside; the old windows were removed with virtually no trace. The quality of the work was excellent, and the price was several hundred dollars cheaper than the other highly-rated Angie’s List company I obtained an estimate from. Kevin was professional and easy to communicate with; his gentle demeanor makes him someone you would feel comfortable hiring to work at your Mother’s house. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to anyone. I would hire him again if his cost was higher than the competition.

Mr Holler installed the windows and cleaned up everything before he left. He was here to measure initially, then built the windows to fit offsite, then installed them all in one day. Easy Peasy!!!

Kevin did a great job. He removed the old windows and frames and took all the mess away. The new block windows look great; no more leaks as they are cemented in without wood framing, and let in more light. Kevin cleaned up completely and was nice to work with. He gave me a reasonable estimate for additional work which I will probably do next year.

He did a great job and I was really amazed with his quality of service. He makes the window himself in his shop and installs it. The windows that he has put in are still working fine.

Mr. Holler came over the night before and measured the windows, then went home and built them. The next day he stopped by and removed the three basement windows (and all debris), and then shimmed the new windows into place. After cementing the windows in place and allowing some curing time, he removed the shims, finished the concrete work and sealed the top edge. He cleaned up and hauled away the debris. Mr. Holler is very detail-oriented and methodical. He takes his time to make sure that everything is done just right. The windows look fantastic, and really give the finished portion of our basement a great look. Because there is no window frame, the windows let in a lot more light, and the energy savings coupled with the privacy glass made our decision to do this a no-brainer. It's a project that I thought I might be able to do on my own, but am glad that I hired Holler to do, as he is a professional and took care of the whole project in just a few hours.

No project was done. When you are a contractor, it helps to call back when we need to set up the day to look at the project. I guess I'll hire someone else.

Went great. He didn't quite finish the whole job on day one, so he came back the next day to clean up the concrete from the one he knocked out and to do the final caulking.

Kevin returned my call promptly and stopped by in 2 days to measure the windows. The work was scheduled for 2 weeks later and Kevin arrived on time. The work ended up being completed over 2 days because there was a slight miscommunication about the pattern of glass block to be used. However Kevin quick to work on correcting the mistake. We are very satisfied with our windows.

They were great. They had the best price I found. They were very efficient and took care of everything. The windows were installed very nicely. They took longer than what they estimated, but they did not charge me for the extra time it took.

The process went great. It took two weeks to schedule the install. The removal and install for 6 windows was complete in about 6 hours. If we knew how easy the process would be and how great they would look we would have done it sooner.

Great, was on time for every appointment, left the area cleaned up and handled the disposal of the old window. Also beat the larger companies bid by $10 (not much, but he was able to install within a week as opposed to having to wait 2+ weeks with the larger companies).

I left a message to receive an estimate, and Kevin returned my call, and all following calls, very promptly. He stopped by to measure the windows, giving us a firm estimate, and writing up a contract. We did write a down payment check to secure our project. It took about 2 weeks for the weather to warm up enough to be able to install the windows properly. Kevin completed the work within a day, and was very clean. He hauled away the old windows and left us with 5 new, beautiful glass block windows. Our main concern was security, and the windows look and feel incredibly strong and durable. We wish we had more glass block projects for him to complete...he was fantastic!

From start to finish, Kevin was great to work with. His price was just below another company we called, and based on our friends' positive experience with Kevin, we decided to use him for our project. We couldn't be happier. He is a real pro at installing the glass block, and this comes as no surprise considering how many years he's been doing this. I highly recommend him and will be using him again for subsequent projects.

Kevin did a great job on our windows and made sure everything was done correctly. He patched some plaster that crumbled when the old windows were removed. He even fixed a pipe that leaked near one of the windows. Kevin cleaned everything up from the project and is very easy to work with. Our house looks fantastic now that we have glass block installed. The vents are great to have as well, as we've never been able to open our basement windows until now.

Kevin Holler was very good to work with. He set up an appointment to look at the windows, kept the appointment and gave us a good estimate. He worked efficiently and neatly. Our windows were different sizes, and while I am sure this presented some frustration, it was never evident. Kevin's work was excellent. Both his demeanor and his workmanship were very professional.
