Description of Work: The company replaced a leaky faucet in the basement that turns on the outdoor water. It works great now. They were easy to contact and easy to schedule. However, on the morning of the appointment we received a confirmation call, but then a call later saying there were no plumbers available that day. We had to reschedule for the following week. The price seemed high for the amount of work, but I imagine plumbing is just expensive.

Description of Work: The service call started out without problem with Ian working on the furnace cleaning and check up. A second service person, Shawn came without notice and started working on the A/C. Was unable to see what he was doing as I was with the furnace person. They finished and left, and a service record was sent to my email. By late night, noticed the A/C wasn't working at all. Called early in the morning 4 times to get the crew to return and fix what they broke. Finally talked to the office (Daniel) who was very nice, but said it wouldn't happen until later in the afternoon. Shawn returned, and found that when he put the wiring back in the panel, 2 wires had come undone--easy fix. Either way, I can't say I'll ever use this service in the future.

Description of Work: I called Uptown to help identify and fix a plumbing leak. This required making a hole in the ceiling below the leak. The leak was identified, fixed, and it was recommended to do some additional work before the ceiling below was patched. In the course of that work, gas leaks in the basement were detected, so in another visit, multiple leaks were identifited and fixed. All in all it was an expensive affair, but I was glad to the have all the leaks found and fixed. Very professional to work with. This company is very customer oriented.

Description of Work: We had two leaky pipes due to Drano (we have since learned not to use that product). We also had two faucets installed. They really know older homes and pointed out a number of things in our home that were not up to code (previous owners did plumbing work themselves). I would use them again. They were efficient and gave us a range of prices to choose from.
