Brian was an excellent, methodical electrician. He got the work done swiftly and then helped answer some questions we had about possible future work. For one of those jobs, he wrote up some detailed potential costs and explained them all. We have always liked & trusted Harrison Electric and see no need to change that opinion!

Repairs & upgrades were installed with no issues.

Did not hire. Got called back by a very nice woman who did not know much of anything other than the information I had provided on their website's "Get an Estimate" form. I explained the work to be performed (non-urgent, can be done within the next month) but she had to put me on hold multiple times to ask someone else what the trip charge was, what the hourly rate would be or if they would charge based on the job, or their availability. Ultimately she said it was best for them to come out and provide an estimate, but did not first disclose they would be charging a $69 trip charge to provide the estimate until I asked to verify they would not be charging for their free estimate. Good luck on that business model of having a Get an Estimate on your website and charging customers for it.

The work is great. He went around the house and mentioned other things I may want to look at replacing and gave prices for everything. Very informative and helpful. BUT, the cost in my view is pretty high. I indicated I would probably hire them again, based upon the professionalism, etc., but I do more comparison shopping next time around. I had gotten an estimate elsewhere for about half the cost of this, but have not had great experience with them in the past, so was reluctant to try this other company again. I went with Harrison because they were highly rated on Angie’s List.

Went great, Brian is awesome. He came out, did an assessment, and we agreed to have the work done. He's always right on time, solid work, eye to detail, and the job was really well done. We had them take the old 100 amp panel out and replace with an all new panel with 200 amp service. They really cleaned things up and did a great job.

The service call went very well. The original call was for the non-working outlets. Considerable upselling but worth it. Dave was very professional and very personable. Small, family-owned company, exactly who one wants to give business. I would use the company again and request Dave specifically. Dave provided detailed explanations and was very thorough.

Quick. John performed the work quickly and professionally. He was punctual, professional and got the job done quickly. He ran a new wire from the new outlet to the fuse box on the other side of the basement.

Excellent workmanship and product... you get what you pay for... they are expensive but I'd rather pay more and know it's done right.

Al was wonderful, friendly, professional and fast. He did an amazing job, and explained everything thoroughly. Al's apprentice, Justin, was great too; very polite and professional. They make a great team. If I need more electric work done, I will definitely call Harrison's. You guys totally rock!!

Kevin was punctual today after the firm cancelled an earlier appointment. Kevin did a good job listening and explaining solutions. Completed work timely; pointed out additional potential problems.

I needed an electrician to hook up a new furnace and AC that was being installed in my home. I called several Angie's list customers and these guys were one of the few that could do it on short notice. When I asked for an cost estimate, the scheduling I spoke with said there were too many variables to give any kind of estimate. So I had to take it on good faith that their costs were reasonable. Boy, was I wrong! When the electrician came out (in the afternoon after the furnace and AC was installed) he said it would cost $912 to hook them up! When I asked him why it was so expensive, he said it was their STANDARD cost for hooking up a furnace and AC. Considering the person I spoke with on the phone said it was not possible to estimate, and then this guy shows me a catalog where the STANDARD cost of a furnace hookup is $237 and the STANDARD cost of a AC hookup is $511, I felt pretty deceived by the guy I spoke with on the phone. I would not use these guys again because they lied about not have standard costs for the services I needed (probably knowing they were going to make a killing off a guy like me), making them untrustworthy in my book. The electrician ("Al") was a nice guy and seems to have done a good job, which is why I grade them at a "C" (instead of an "F").

Harrison was able to fix a long standing electric problem we had.

I called Harrison Electric on Friday 12/15 hoping to have them install my new light fixture before Christmas. I had called four electricians prior to calling Harrison and all were too busy to fit me in, so I was not optimistic when I called Harrison. Their office answered on the first ring and was able to schedule an appointment for Monday 12/18. Al of Harrison arrived promptly, provided an estimate, and installed the new fixture and a dimmer the same morning. He also was willing to clean a high window over the front door and hang up a quilt on the wall while he was up on the 16-foot ladder. He was professional as well as friendly. The new fixture looks great—perfectly centered and at the right height. I highly recommend Harrison Electric.

Kevin and his colleague did a fantastic and awesome job rewiring the cables. Not only were they the consummate professionals but they were also very personable, polite, and client-focused. I would certainly recommend them in the future.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Excellent update to home, wife is very happy as she waited almost 20 years to do this. I am so pleased that I will never have to change another smoke detector battery- as these are good for 10 years! Yes, it cost some money but such quality of work and these gentleman and ladies are background checked and drug checked.

Went perfect. This was a heavy entry way fixture and the ceiling height was 18 ft. Required some fancy ladder work.

John knew right away what the problem was and replaced 2 switches quickly and efficiently. I mentioned that my hard-wired fire/smoke alarms were old (since 1990). Because he came with all of the necessary equipment he was able to also quickly replace both alarms with state-of-the-art new combination fire/carbon monoxide alarms. John was so pleasant and efficient and cleaned up so well - I will keep this contact in my go-to file for sure!

Replaced the one that seemed to be causing the problem. No charge

Long story short, Harrison Electric rescheduled our appointment once, didn't complete the requested service, cashed our check, and then forgot about us. Won't hire again and would not recommend! Our original appointment was rescheduled because there Harrison Electric had a lot of emergency appointment requests after a bad storm. That was fine with us, they rescheduled for a couple days later and that was no problem. The technician showed up on time and seemed knowledgeable enough and answered questions, but when it came to quoting the price to repair the light (which is what we had requested) he was unable to provide a quote because he said there was a part that they didn't have and he didn't know how much it would cost or what it would cost to install that part. He said he would call us back within a couple days to give us the quote. We paid him the $69 service call fee. A week went by, then another week, and still no word from anyone at Harrison Electric. They did cash our check promptly though. Finally I called the Harrison Electric office and asked for an update. The woman I spoke to didn't see any notes in our file related to a follow up, which she attributed to recent staffing changes in their office. She promised we'd hear from someone in the next 1-2 days. That was several weeks ago and we haven't heard anything yet. Won't hire again and would not recommend.
