Harrison Electric, Inc completely understood my needs as a customer. I needed lights installed in an older home, not a sales song and dance. They came in, and focused specifically on what I WANTED to be done, and then provided a methodical assessment on what COULD be done in my older home. Together, then and there, we developed an installation plan that both met my needs without compromising the safety of the home, and at honest price that wasn't bloated with extra sales add-ons. I hired them on the spot, and they took care of all of my electrical needs that very same day. During the entire installation process, they were extremely respectful of my home, and periodically checked in with me to demonstrate progression of work. If you are recent homeowner, looking for an electrical company who understands efficiency of means, meaning, making minor lighting and switch updates without it costing you an arm and a leg, or bloating the quote with sales add-ons then Harrison Electric, Inc is the way to go. Highly recommend.

I called Harrison Electric based on Angie's List recommendation to replace a box that had been water damaged. It was a 100 amp panel with 7 circuits. Their quote was $6500+ and they charged me $50 to come look at it. I was lucky I was sitting down when I got the quote. My real cost to have this work done was $1200. If you call Harrison Electric, I would make sure you have a comparison price.

I called on a Monday afternoon to check on wiring to install a kitchen chandelier. Matt and Tyler arrived within 45 minutes of my initial call. They charged me only the standard charge for a visit for $69. I had them go ahead and install the chandelier for me for $195. They were finished with the installation within 2 hours of my call to them. Great service! Great work! No emergency charge!

Horrible. They never showed up. They gave me a window between 9-11 am. I had to call at 11:15 when no one showed up. I was then given noon. I changed my schedule. I called again at 12:15 when still no one showed. I was called at 12:30 and told they weren't sure when someone could come. They offered to come the following week and waive the trip charge. First, I wasn't told there would be a trip charge, and I waited over a week for the appointment that never happened. Extremely poor follow through and awful communication. Would not recommend.

On May 21, 2019, Al from you company came to my mothers’ house to look at a storm damaged electrical conduit and write-up an estimate. At that time he wrote a work order for the repair of which I have a copy. The schedule for the repair was set for June 4, 2019 at which time Al had to make another copy of the work order. After the initial meeting with Al I called my insurance agent to file storm damage claim…..perhaps I should have done this before I even called Harrison. The repair was done that day and appeared good. As of the date 07/25/19 I have not been contacted by the inspector as to the work. (If it was acceptable by the City codes). After the work was done I spoke with the adjuster who stated that she needs verification of the City and Xcel code for the work that was done. Initially, when I spoke with Al, he said that Harrison would take care of all the paper work and sending the insurance company the required codes for the upgrades that had to be done on the electrical pole and meter. One July 8, 2019 Jessica from Harrison, stated that Harrison will apply for the permit for electrical work. (I also spoke with the City clerk, on July 15, 2019, who stated that usually the permit is applied for before work is done.) I have a copy. On 07/15/19 I called my insurance company and was informed that they are holding the checks pending code information being sent from Harrison. Since Harrison are the electrical experts I was confident they have and can access the code descriptions and send it to the insurance company. I contacted my insurance adjuster directly and was informed as of 08/01/19 no paperwork has been received from Harrison (as I was promised). Based on the communications from my insurance adjuster and Harrison, the work was not completed to my satisfaction and the promises made by Harrison. Harrison either needs to reimburse me $1,393.00 + $54.00 (permit overcharge = $1,447.00 or submit the requested paperwork to the insurance company.

John Funk and his apprentices Tyler and Megan were great to work with. They worked long hours to get the work done. The cost was not cheap, but we know that we got quality work and value added to our home. We would highly recommend Harrison Electric.
Description of Work: We had 2 visits - one to change the fuse box to circuit breakers and add an all house surge protector. The second visit involved installing 2 ceiling fans and one light in our 3 bedrooms where we had no ceiling wiring. We have also had numerous outlets updated to GFI and/or 3 prong.

John Harrison came to our home, inspected the item, said he could do the repair and would call the following week to set up a time. He never called. A couple of weeks later I called him again and he apologized, saying he had been very busy with calls due to the winter weather and that I should call him again in the spring. When I called again in spring he said he and his family were leaving for a 2 week visit to Europe but he would contact me when he returned. He never called. I called him again on a Friday and again he said he had been busy after his trip but would call the following Monday to set up a time to do the work at our home. Needless to say, he never called. Apparently he did not intend to do this repair, so I wish he would have said so rather than stringing me along. The item is used at Christmas and John has wasted 6 months of the time available to repair it. I consider his behavior unprofessional ad unethical.

We ended up paying $1400 for a new bathroom plug and switch and a new 4-prong garage plug, which did fix the light problem. However, the plug wasn't positioned correctly so we have to run an extension cord to the new plug. We were told we'd have to pay for moving the switch and they'd have to come back another day to do the work. It took two workers over three hours to install these plugs as one spent all his time running around the house, looking for other problems, trying to sell us services, and interrupting my husband, who runs his business from a home office. They told us they couldn't install an outside plug unless we put in a whole new electric panel (for $5,000!) Another electrician had quoted $350, nothing about a new panel. We were over charged and under served.

We in the process of having our master bathroom remodeled. We suddenly had no working lights in our newly wired master bathroom and the adjoining bedroom—the breaker kept tripping. John came over the same day we placed the call and got our lights back on. He did advise us that there was more work to be done and that we should have the guy who did the bathroom remodel wiring fix the problem. John felt it was foolish of us to pay him (John) to fix a problem when we have already paid the other guy to do the work. The advise was appreciated!
