I emailed them 1 week ago and have not heard from them at all, requesting an estimate on a simple job. Definitely will not use as to their lack of response. Will find someone else.

We would like to speak with you regarding your project, can you provide us a phone number? Or give us a call at 763-544-3300. We are looking through emails, unfortunately sometimes technology doesn't do what it should, and there are an estimated 200 "Harrison Electric" websites just in the USA and many times we get mixed up with the one in California, the one in Michigan or the one down south. We could go on for hours with the mixed up emails and mail we get... But the best way to contact us and avoid that confusion is... please try giving us a call at 763-544-3300. Thank you.

I decided to hire a local company instead of this one. I did not even speak to this company on the phone or contact in any other way. I merely looked at information for this company on Angie's list. I have no idea why Angie's List keeps asking me for a review when I DID NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Chris was on time for the appointment and got the job done the same day as the inspection/quote. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He even went above and beyond by taking time to point out a few unrelated things for us to be aware of. The price seemed a bit high for the services, but that was the only minor complaint.

Harrison Eletric was a joy to deal with. We knew when we bought the house 10 years ago that the service needed to be upgraded, but we had put it off. This time, a fuse blew and they came to replace it and recommended a whole system upgrade which we couldn't do immediately. But they offered a full credit of the breaker repair costs if we upgraded the system soon, so we bit the bullet and did it. They replaced the mast coming in from the house, moved the meter, put in new grounding, replaced the entire breaker box, reorganized a couple of the lines, upgraded to 150 amp service and installed and extra plug near the breaker box and installed whole house surge protection. The whole process took 2 1/2 days, but they were very professional, maintained the quoted price and the work was done well and neatly. I will not hesitate to call on Harrison again, as I did a couple of months ago when we needed the service behind our stove switched from 220 to 110 service for our new gas stove that was being installed. Just like before the work was done quickly, professionally, and for the amount quoted.

Be cautious that you will likely spend $400 for a diagnosis alone! This is not an affordable service like they claim. On their website, they highlight that they have "Upfront, straightforward pricing" but this is complete lie in my case. Please read the review and at least be informed about what you may be getting yourself into when you call them. When I originally called, the dispatcher stated it would cost $69 for the initial visit and to figure out the issue. When the electrician came out, he took about 20 minutes to check the main panel (which is something I had already done myself). He then told me he would need another $320 to diagnose the issue and said that was the flat fee regardless of how long it would take. The cost to repair would go above and beyond that. Since the issue was an electrical outlet now working, it seemed ridiculous to charge us $400 in total to figure out what was going wrong. What was even more frustrating was that when I tried to discuss the issue the electrician told me the customer service people are supposed to use the terms "assess" when describing what the $69 is for and not "diagnose" which is the $320 charge. This was the most concerning part to me. I do not recall the exact words the person used when I originally set-up the appointment, but I know at some point I wanted to confirm what the fee structure was I had essentially restated with the person that the $69 would be for the initial visit then I would discuss with the electrician how much the repair would be. That is the deceptive part. Clearly based on the electricians comments, this company is using vague language to get out to a customer then springing a significant diagnosis fee. I understand that it time to diagnose an issue, but the person setting up the appointment should have been much more clear about the $69 versus the $320 diagnosis fee up front. Or at a minimum, bring it up when I tried to clarify it with her. The electrician originally was nice, punctual and professional, but then became defensive during our discussion of the additional $320 diagnosis fee. He tried to justify the difference by saying the $69 barely covers the cost of gas (even though their location is 10 miles from our house) and how their company would go out of business if they only charged $69 to figure out an issue. I understand they need to be profitable, but my issue is not with them making money. My issue was them being deceptive about what they call an "assessment" versus a "diagnosis." My secondary issue is the $320 flat fee to diagnose an electrical outlet. For a company who has their electricians complain about cost to go to a client, it seems ironic that they have no issue charging $320 to diagnose a single electrical outlet (let alone the fact that the outlet was in the garage with the main panel). The pricing may make sense for a complex issue, but not a simple one. Overall, my experience was horrible with them. From the deceptive practices regarding "assessment" versus "diagnosis" fees, to the person scheduling the appointment not clarifying the difference, to the electrician who repeatedly tried to defend the company by stating the schedulers are not supposed to use the word "diagnosis" when discussing what the $69 covers when clients set-up an appointment there was not a single reason why I would recommend them.

[Member Name Removed], the $69 check you paid for the travel service fee is in the mail back to you, it wasn't cashed. Our practices are simple: our electricians provide pricing for tasks, jobs, and situations before we start any work, based on your needs and input, a visual inspection of your electrical equipment and home. This way you have the ability to choose what you want done in your home and it lets you take your budget into consideration. Our travel service fee covers having a licensed, drug screened, background checked and highly trained Journeyman electrician, who comes in a fully stocked Warehouse on Wheels(c) (thousands of parts and tools) to your home, which saves you time, as our electricians are able to start 91+% of the projects when they are out. The reason our electricians provide pricing and not our Client Care Representatives, is that it takes years to become an electrician, to fully understand and experience what goes on in a house with the electrical systems and how home owners use electrical systems. Just answering the phone does not provide the same level of on the job training, experience, or comprehension of electrical situations to provide an accurate means for electrical troubleshooting or installations. Please also consider that every home is electrically different. Thank you for your time.

John was punctual and professional. He provided the estimate and did the work (a plus in my opinion). The job was done well and he made suggestions without any pressure to purchase. Although the total price is high, such service is expensive. The inspection went smoothly. John spent 8 hours on the job and his apprentice was there about 6. All work was systematically done. There clean up was pretty good (I forgot to do a final look so some minor things were missed0. Overall, a fantastic job and will hire use again for future work as I plan to finish the basement. John spent time explaining how to schedule electrical work during a construction project. He made the job look easy but it takes experience to do the job neatly and correctly.

On the first call, the electrician who came in said we had to pay a minimum fee for calling him in. There was no mention of this when we set up the appointment, and when we pointed this out, we did not have to pay. He gave us an estimate on the small jobs. On the problem with dimming lights, he recommended a whole home surge protector. Based on a google search, it appears that this is the wrong answer to the problem (such a protector works for surges outside the house and does not work for internal surges or to fix voltage sags). I called the company to discuss this. I spoke to a person called John who agreed that a surge protector is the wrong solution. He offered to send another person over. to look at the problem again We set up an appointment between 10-12 a couple of days later. No one showed up. When I called the company, there was no record of the appointment. They put me through to John, who was apologetic and he said he would try to get someone in by 1, and would call me back in half an hour. No call back. When I called again, I was given the runaround. After a few attempts, I was able to leave a message for John. No reply. This is not only poor customer service but also poor professionalism. And to top it all, trying to sell the wrong solution to make money off a customer is unethical!

Matt and his apprentice Chris worked solid for two days. They were great. Matt gave me up front pricing walking me through the pros and cons. In some cases I had old wiring replaced; I had new outlets created in the kitchen; and I had ceiling fans cleaned, a new dining room center light put in; I also had a ceiling fan and dimmers installed. Overall, I was really comfortable working with both guys. They were detailed and consistent throughout their entire time. The owner stopped in and reviewed various aspects of the work and asked me directly for feedback. I have heard from Harrison a couple times since, no pressure, genuinely checking to see if I'm satisfied with the updating. I am so glad I replaced the old wiring. I sleep better. Harrison is a great, fairly priced solid group of electricians.

Harrison was recommended by another electric company because the job was complex and they were busy. I called them on a Thursday, they came the following Monday morning. The gentlemen that came was very professional and explained everything. Given the complexity of the job, his boss came out and reviewed as well. This was all done before 10am. They spent the rest of Monday and Tuesday finishing the work. I was impressed how fast they got the work done, the professionalism of the electrician and the quality of work. I would recommend them and use them again.

Advertisement states "Yes! We can fix it today" and "24 hour express service." I called about 10 PM about my fire alarms that were going off for no reason. Was told they were too busy to send someone that night and that they would call me early in the AM to schedule service. I got most of the fire alarms disconnected (and the noise silenced). At 11 AM the next morning, they had not called so I called them. The person who answered the hone this time was, at first, not even able to find a record of my call. He finally contacted the person who was on the phones that night who said he was planning to contact me when he finished his current job. So-- I asked if they could come out soon. I had to leave home at 4 PM, so it would need to be before then. I was told they would not be able to fit me in so scheduled for the following morning. This was not the express service described in their ad! I think their cost was high, though I do not have something to compare it with. I just wanted the problem taken care of, so went ahead and had them do the job. The person who came to do the work kept touching my arm. I realize this is probably just a habit, but it was unwanted contact. The smoke alarms that were installed seem fine, the light switch is working. He was careful to wear shoe covers. He asked about pets he might need to be aware of. So, I would say that service was satisfactory. However, next time I need electrical help, I will try a different company.

The overall reviews of excellent on Angie's List did not totally translate to my experience. I felt that Harrison Electric was over priced for what they did. The quality of work was fair, initially the electrician installed the outlet an inch lower than the other outlet on the same wall and when I mentioned it he replied with "what?" in a way that seemed like he thought I was crazy when in fact it turned out he had measured wrong and installed it too low. He did fix it with no issues after that however but left a small hole for me to patch. My main issue was the pricing as it seemed very high for what they did. I probably will search out another electrician for future work.

Very professional work by John. We did not know about the whole house surge protector and he informed us of the benefit so we decided to add. When he was installing the outlet in the garage he alerted us to the fact that the overhead garage door outlet was not up to code and also fixed that. The new outlet in the basement was a bit of a challenge but he had a good solution as to how it could be handled. He also informed us that a kitchen outlet by the stove required a special GFI outlet and installed it. We were very happy with the timely professional service, work and advice provided by John . This is the second time that we have used this Company and we will be calling Harrison Electric again when we have other electrical needs.
