Happy Earth Cleaning Service LLC

In the 7 weeks that we had Happy Earth clean our home, we had 5 times that were IN our home.......disappear. 3 Clothing items, hiking backpack, nick nack - and that's what we're aware of. We contacted the company and they did an "internal investigation" and not to our surprise, the cleaners who were in our home never saw any of the items. We are not people who misplace things and had searched extensively for the items prior to assuming the cleaners. But when they're the only other people who enter your home. A police report was filed so that it would be on record. It's a really unfortunate situation, we were very much hoping to support a business with this type of model. But we ended up getting bit. As far as their cleaning quality, I would rate that a C-.

Absolutely would recommend Happy Earth Cleaning! We just had our first cleaning after a very detailed consult and have been very impressed! Detail oriented, thoughtful and their use of all natural/sustainable products is amazing. They ask for feedback after each visit so they can improve their service. And they pay their employees a fair wage!! Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

We used the service for about 6 years. I became frustrated at their slow responses to emails and an instance of them showing up unexpectedly. They claimed they'd semt an email that morning that they would be coming. I did not receive an email. And who emails a last minute change like that? They should have called to confirm with me, to make sure I was even available to open the house for them.

I used the service for about a year. At first they did a very good and thorough job. As time went by, I noticed they were cutting corners (certain furniture didn't look wiped down, corners had dust, spots were missed). The final straw was when I came home to find they hadn't even stayed an hour (I wasn't usually home) and the floor didn't even look mopped. You could see paw prints on the floor still, and the dog wasn't even home. While they rectified that situation, I don't like feeling like I have to be there peering over people's shoulders telling them what they're missing (nor do I have time to do it). I also found after mopping my floors a few times soon after they left that whatever cleaner they used wasn't removing dirt and grime from my wood floors, it was just moving it around. Not a service I'd recommend.

While Happy Earth Cleaners are friendly, responsive, use green cleaning products (mostly homemade), and pay livable wages - all pluses - the actual service was underwhelming. My wife and I contacted them prior to moving into our new (first) home. An employee performed a pre-cleaning visit of the house, which was completely empty, and I made it clear that we wanted shelves, trim, and other hard to reach nooks prioritized over sweeping and mopping (which the previous homeowners had done prior to departure). Come cleaning day, it was clear staff got the shelves in the kitchen, but I had to remind them of a couple of things when I showed up near the end. Plus, after move in we noticed that the upper trim was still filthy...I had to get a step ladder and do the whole ground floor myself. While it only took about 15 minutes, I thought to myself "didn't I just pay somebody to do this job." Also, the top of the fridge was only partly wiped down and had dust in the back corner. Not sure if the staff failed to bring a step ladder with them or a retractable duster...but that should not be an excuse. On the plus side, the oven was spotless and interior cleaned very well.
