They clear the driveway, sidewalk and patio of snow. They come with a plow and they really chopped my grass up. They said they would take care of it when the snow melted. Their idea of taking care of it was sprinkling a few grass seeds. They charge ten dollars for every inch over two and a half inches. They didn't tell me that and said it was in the Terms and Conditions. They ran over one of the sprinkler heads, and they replaced it for me. They had messed up my whole system. Only one sprinkler worked and it was sprinkling the street and my neighbors property. Finally they sent someone out and the problem got fixed.

They use organic fertilizer, which is great for the environment. They do good work and they do it quickly.

They do a nice job. I don t think they do salt that I ve seen. I signed up for the minimal snowfall and a monthly service. If the snow fall is at least an inch or an inch an a half they come out. If it s less than that then I do it myself. It s a separate contract for the snow and the lawn. They have you sign up and you check the various services. This was the first snow of the season, nothing major (4 inches or so) but definitely needed the service to clear the driveway and walkways. It stopped snowing last night and nothing was cleared this morning. I called and they said they guarantee removal within 8 hrs. I was annoyed. Returned home at 8 pm this evening and nothing was cleared! (They said it stopped snowing at 4 am so it should have been cleared by noon). I could not get into my driveway, almost got my car stuck trying, and had to park on the street. I pay way too much money to them for this, the service is unacceptable and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I have used this company for four years. They do my snow removal and my mowing for me. They also clean out my gutters for me. Their prices are pretty much with the going rate and they do a pretty good job. I never give A's for anything.

Estimates seemed fair and reasonable at the start. They came out within a day or two and left a sheet of estimates for various services at my door. Since it was already late in the year (I just got the house), they said I should wait until spring for the seeding, aerating and fertilizing. I requested a 1-time lawn mowing to finish out the fall and start fresh in the spring. The first time they came (which was about a week after I scheduled) they said they couldn't mow due to too many leaves. I cleaned up the leaves the following weekend and requested they come back the next week. They never showed up and unfortunately since they waited so long the ground was covered in leaves again. Finally after 3 weeks I got them to mow the lawn. They never shut my fence gate though, it was very windy out and when I got home my fence was leaning almost to the ground. I dismissed that as I never told them not to mow the other side of the fence (it isn't my property). When scheduled I was told the one-time mow was $33. When I got the bill it was for $52. Apparently they charge more to mow in the fall to pick up leaves (even though I had already raked all the leaves up 2 days prior). By adding an extra $20 to my bill, they have lost over $500 of services I would have spent with them next year.

The service was consistent and quality was good. I like their website. I can view billing and service orders on the site. Also, I can auto-charge to credit card (this is unique in this industry).

They take care of seeding and fertilizing and things like that. They also do snow removal. My experience with them has been very good. They have very timely on doing fertilizing.

They come weekly; cut, edge and clean up. They move anything I've left in the yard and work around my pets if I'm home.

It is really convenient to have them do some of my chores. They get it done very quickly and they do a great job. They do a good job and keep everything trimmed up good.

My experience with them has been just fair. They don't do a very good job of mowing. They scalp it and leave it long in some places. They get it cut but that's about all they do.

I paid them weekly. They were very hard to get along with. They broke a sprinkler head and it was then flooding my lawn, they shut off the zone to stop this. Then it took them quite awhile to get them to come out back out. Their general customer services is horrible.

They do a great job. They leave no shavings around the pool. The only think I didn't like was that they broke a board off of my removal panel on my fence as they entered/exited my back yard. I asked them not to go that way anymore so now they go though the gate instead. They were very agreeable about this change.

Not so well, the first day they came out, they couldn't finish, and had to leave. The second appointment, they didn't show, and the third appointment they turned it on, but nothing else. They didn't check the heads, or doesn't appear they changed any zones. I've called customer service, and also left a message for the irrigation supervisor, but no one has called me back.

I used G.H. during the summer of '05 (and maybe even in '04) because I'd given up trying to control the weed problem. Our neighbor on one side has 90% creeping Charlie in their lawn and the neighbor on the other side has dandelions and other weeds, so it was hard to stave off both. The G.H. treatments were effective. I didn't use them in summer '06, and by the end of the summer, our yard was FULL of creeping Charlie. I used them again this summer and the creeping Charlie is gone. I actually had few/no dealings with the company (hence, the N/A for punctuality and professionalism). Once I was setup the applications occurred, and I got my invoice as expected, and all communication with the company is through the web site. But, whenever I had a question, they got back to me promptly. My only issue was that I would have liked to get notice when an application was going to happen, so I could bring in the hose/sprinkler instead of getting fertilizer all over them.

Two weeks ago we noticed a pair of very strangers lanes of dead grass in the lawn, just 2 straight lines. It looked like someone poured grass killer on the wheels of the lawn mower. It just looked VERY unusual. So we called Green Horizons to see what the problem was, and they sent a "field manager" out to assess. My wife was currently at home when Bog Mcgowan came by and dropped an "estimate" for repair at the front door. Hearing the door rustle, my wife came to the door to talk to Bob and Bob replied "The grass is just stressed, it will grow back - trust me." However, my wife was still concerned as to the unusual nature of the dead grass, and continued with asking questions. The conversation escalated and Bob had a near YELLING tone with my wife, repeatedly saying "IT WILL GROW BACK TRUST ME". I am horrified of how he treated my wife, she's a customer! Yelling?!? I mean, even as a customer, my wife and I wouldn't talk to a service provider like that! UNACCEPTABLE!

I was very impressed with the service I received. First, they were very prompt in responding to my initial call for a cost estimate for a number of services I was considering. They took my address, went to the house and provided a detailed costing for each service. I loved that the estimates were then available online. I ordered a fertilization package and they came out within a day for the first application. Then a week later realized I needed to have the lawn mowed. I called the Friday before Memorial Day and they were able to come on Tuesday and did a fantastic job. The one-time lawn mowing was a bit expensive, since they charge a $10 fee for one-time service, however. I particularly liked the ease of ordering services and paying for services online. For a working person, that made the whole process incredibly easy and convenient. I would definitely recommend them.

I wanted to try a new lawn service, they were a bit less expensive than my last company. I was very happy with the first mowing. However, the second mowing was a MESS. I have a small Minneapolis yard, and it appears as though they use a large commercial mower. They mowed over my garden edge and cut it into little chunks, and did not pick them up. They also hit a flower pot (not a big deal nothing was broken) but it appears as though they do not care about what they hit. I can deal with mistakes, however, they did not even leave a note to say "sorry" or a phone call to let me know what happened. I had to find it on my own and call them. They said they are going to send out a person to look at it. We will see what happens from there...

After hearing about a pending snow storm, I contacted Green Horizons regarding snow removal because I had to go out of town and needed snow removal services while I was away. I was added to their customer list and was assured the snow would be removed from around my residence while I was away. When I returned, the premises looked great. Within the week we had another snow storm and Green Horizons removed the snow again -- promptly and efficiently. Two workers showed up and did an excellent job. I was extremely pleased and will contact Green Horizons again when I need snow removal services.

It went ok until a major snowstorm in March. The company came early in the morning but did not return even though the snow kept falling. I called at 7:00 a.m. and was told someone would be right out. I called again at 9:00 a.m. Shortly after that I shoveled myself. A neighbor told me the company showed up at 11:30. I was promised a credit; I never received it.

I was pleased with the professionalism of this company from start to finish. From their menu of options to choose to their online payment options, they're an easy company to do business with. I opted for their fall clean up not knowing exactly what to expect and was blown away by the awesome job they did. I will hire them again next year and wouldn't hesitate to add services if needed.

Job 1: They came out within one to two weeks of the request for service. I noticed their staff had not aerated the grass patches on the boulevard, which I really wanted done so I could put down grass seed. (This area had so many weeds that once dead needed significant seeding.) Job 2: I've been happy with the service overall. Last year, I was frustrated because they never applied weed killer to the patch of grass behind the garage. I mentioned that before the season this year and they appeared to have fixed that. What pleases me the most is, I went from having a yard full of weeds two years ago to a yard full of grass. Woohoo, the creeping charlie is gone.
