+ -1 moreI have been using them about 3 years, and they were at my house 2 days ago. I think they do a very good job, and I will continue to use them in the future.
Description of Work: I use Green Dirt Lawn Care, for lawn services. The last time they were at my house they mowed the lawn, and did some trimming.

Description of Work: Green Dirt provided awn mowing and treatment services during the 2010 season. The end result - large patches of dead lawn due to overfertization. When discussed with the owner he admitted his crew made a mistake and tried to reseed our lawn. When that didn't take. he actually applied green spray paint to my dead grass without my permission or any discussion. We were also billed for trimming services that were not performed. His work crew is not well supervised and I don't feel the owner was forthcoming with the initial mistake. His response at the time was "I told my crew not to fertize lawns without a sprinkler system."

+ -1 moreI believe the early snowfall of this year was h****** them, as all others. That time, the service was not punctual and I had to do it myself to get out of the driveway. However, since then, they have been pretty punctual and getting better as the season continues. I believe there was 1 time they missed me, but I was out of town too. And, they do not necessarily come when 1/2" has fallen, but instead wait until the storm is nearly finished. I also fully understand that I add a layer of complexity, as they cannot complete my house in a normal routine, due to my need for snowblower and shovelling. They do a nice job of removing the snow to give me a full width driveway and sidewalks, which is not necesarily easy. And, definately not easy this year. All in all, I am pretty happy with them and I have not had to do my own snow, except for the big snowfall and after returning from vacation. It has been a nice change after doing my snow for 30+ years.
Description of Work: I have a long driveway to the back of the lot that is between two houses in south Minneapolis + sidewalks. The situation does not allow for a truck and plow. Removal requires snow blower and shovelling work; To readers of this: Ignore the date and the price. I contracted for a monthly service throughout the winter with a monthly fee.

+ 1 moreJose Torres was extremely quick to return calls, provide estimates and punctual of the work-dates promised. I think his price is very very competitive; hard to find someone ho will do a decent job below what he has quoted me. I will say that for the landscaping work you could probably hie others who are more creative. But I am a cost conscious buyer, and I feel that for the prices I ave paid him, I have gotten a very decent deal. Dependable quality of overall work; not too fancy (latest greatest) or costly. Very much recommended.
Description of Work: I have used Green Dirt 3 times now. Twice for Fall Cleanup, and once for some landscape cleaning and beautification.

Description of Work: I used Green Dirt for snow removal services during the winter of 2009/2010. They were fantastic. Any time it snowed, they promptly arrived to clear the driveway and sidewalks. After the initial clearing, they would return to address any add'l snow and any that the City of Mpls snow removal equipments would push back onto the drive way. Green Dirt was also on site Christmas Day, without delay. I highly recommend their snow removal services and will defnitely use them again this year.

+ 0 moreThey also cleaned out my gutters and my only complaint is that they left a lot of the "gutter droppings" on the ground - I didn't care so much for myself, but my house is very close to my neighbors and she ended up cleaning up after them.
Description of Work: $80 / month for snow removal for November, December, January, and February. They did a good job. We had a ton of snow this winter so I was impressed with how quickly they always dug me out.

+ -1 moreIt was hard to determine exactly what was included in the figure they quoted me, so she offered to send it to me in writing. I welcomed that, but I never received anything. I've heard he does really good work and would still be willing to hire him -- I understand things can fall through the cracks -- but I don't have time to chase him down if he doesn't want the work or can't tell me what I'd be paying for. I'll probably hire someone else for this job.
Description of Work: Jose made an appointment to come by to give me an estimate, but showed up several days late. Several days after that, someone (his wife, I think) called to give me the estimate ($1,000 - half labor, half materials) over the phone.
