It went extremely well. The technician was prompt, very polite, courteous and went out of this way when my husband was on a conference call. He removed and replaced all registers, was thorough and completed the job in an acceptable amount of time. He was able to remove a very large amount of dirt, dust and sheetrock pieces from the ductwork.

Of three estimates their's was the best price, warrantee and product. Brian the estimator and Tim and John the installers were very professional. They arrived on time and cleaned up when they finished. We couldn't be happier with the results.

They were excellent. What stood out about them was the efficiency in how they worked. There was no mess or dirt or anything. We couldn’t tell that they were here. They took the old furnace and the old air conditioner out and put the new furnace and new air conditioner in. The quality of their work was excellent. Their professionalism and responsiveness was excellent. I called and they were here the next day. They were on time. I would use them again in the future.

We have used GVH for over 30 years. They have always done a superior job; they are friendly, cooperative and efficient. After we used them the first time, so many years ago, we liked and trusted them and have never called anyone else!

They came and provided service. I would use this company again in the future.

I am waiting for manufacture and utility company rebates to comment on the service provider's estimate and final invoice.

The motor on our furnace started making a loud noise the evening before. We called GV when they opened in the morning. He said he'd be at our house around lunchtime. He pulled up at 12:10, confirmed we needed a new motor and gave me an estimate. After running to pick up the part, he quickly installed it and the bill was very close to his estimate. Very punctual, efficient, and professional.

Called from some verbal info - proceeded from there to a call(no charge at his request). Kept his appointment on time and spent plenty of time with us to help our understanding.

I purchased the new AC unit from Costco and they provided a package deal for removal of the old unit and the installation of the new one. This company as well as Costco were both very prompt in assessing my need and then fulfilling it with with Lennox air conditioner.

Golden Valley Plumbing and Heating did a great job. The salesman did not try to sell us anything more than we needed. He also found us an extra $700 rebate from Costco that we did not know was available at that time. One thing I liked was all the rebates were handled by them. They filled them out, had me sign where needed, and they mailed them in so they were done right the first time. I would recommend them.

It was a positive experience. A wire came loose but they came out to fix it, they seemed a little rushed to get out of there when they came back to fix it. They seem pretty knowledgeable, most of their staff has been working there for years. They are pretty reasonable.

Golden Valley Heating and Air provided one of three bids on a new furnace and A/C. They were only about $300. less than the other two bids, so price did not play a big part in my selecting process - I was mostly concerned about the quality of the equipment they would install and the confidence that I had that they would install it correctly. I was impressed with John, the guy who provided the estimate, because he spent a good part of his life installing furnaces and A/C, not just selling them. Also, the business is family owned, and his father started it. The fact that they received high ratings on Angie's list AND were in partnership with Costco was also a big factor in my choosing them over the other. The others seemed quite professional, too. They arrived right at 7 a.m., as promised, and worked until about 5:00. They were polite, professional, and explained everything they were doing. One guy had worked there for 18 year, another one for I think 24. Not sure about the third. That means something. They cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't be happier.

Brian took off part of his weekend to come over and give us an estimate. He will explain the technical aspects if that's what you want or will give you his straighforward recommendation if you don't know what you want. I found him to be a good listener and very knowledgeable about the industry. Upon receiving a very competitive bid, which we accepted, the installation team was here within a week. John and company were neat, courteous, and did a quality job. They even submitted the rebate information for us. The job was done in 1/2 day and a few days later when the dewpoint was pushing 70, we were enjoying a cool, comfortable house.

I've worked with several HVAC contractors over the past ten years and have not encountered an HVAC company as thorough and as detail-focused as the Golden Valley (GV) Heating and Air Conditioning team that just finished working on one of my properties. They did the perfect job identifying the right Lennox system that I needed and it is exactly as they described it. They also did a perfect job installing it. They went to great pains to be neat and accurate. For example, the new furnace is a high efficiency unit, requiring new air vents through the roof. Their air vent work was precisely placed with vertical pipes that are straight and even, unlike another contractor who I worked with who left the pipes leaning in odd directions at a different property. GV also needed to cut into the ceiling for the new furnace but did a neat job of restoring the insulation and wall board. Additionally, the furnace was elevated for me to make servicing the air filter much easier. The water drains for the furnace were done with PVC instead of cheap looking floppy tubing. They even upgraded my drain piping for the humidifier without me asking. The outside AC is level and square. They were even able to pre-charge the unit in cold weather which I hadn't had done before. The solder connections and pipe insulation work are neat and well done. By the way, everyone who worked on the house, including the estimator, was always polite and professional. They were always willing to explain what needed to be done in as much detail as I wanted. At one point, I had to reschedule some of the installation work with them due to a conflict, and they were willing to work with me on that, too. I'm thrilled with the installation and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Pleasant and prompt scheduling of appointment. Technician arrived on time and was personable and professional in performing all services. Work was completed within time estimated. This service was performed on a 22 year old furnace and AC originally installed by GV Heating & Air. I've had them do tune-up service on this system when needed since it was installed. I've continued to experience grade A service from them for 22 years and will use them again for HVAC services.

They gave a good price range but I believe their brand of air conditioner was different than what we wanted. They also expressed concern over the difficulty of the job.

They did a good job! The furnace went out in February, so time was of the essence. Their prices were very competitive. What impressed me the most, was that they use the same installers for each project. The salesman was thorough, knowledgeable, and bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. They were clean and completed the job in just two days. Overall, it was an excellent experience!

This company installed our furnace about three years ago and we found out that not only didn't they replace the duct work going into the house, but the duct that they attached had a giant rusted gap on the bottom where I could not see it. Bills were sky high, but I thought that was normal, no different from before, even though the furnace was supposed to be more efficient.. When the deck was rebuilt this fall, the roofers had to move the furnace and found the giant gap. Golden Valley Heating was called, and they wanted no part of the repair, they said it was too small a repair for them. Then I called them and asked them why they would not repair the gap. I spoke to an owner, and she said they wouldn't do it, even after I explained the circumstances. I was surprised at the refusal to even try to please the customer and vowed to never use them again. They had always been okay to work with, but the incident was too much to ignore. Also, since it's been fixed by another contractor, our bills have gone down considerably. But what about the thousands that were lost between the year the furnace was installed, and the current date?

They were the most responsive company and went out of their way to explain everything within the quote they were on the lower end of the bids, but not the least expensive. The workers were prompts, professional and worked very hard. I was very impressed.

We didn?t spend anything for the last service since it was under warranty. It has been good so far. The technician was outstanding. He was very personable and thorough. He cleaned up after himself. We had him here several times. I think he is knowledgeable too. They are going to my mother?s house next week to do a furnace check. I would recommend them. They are a family owned business. They are very easy to work with. They are honest and seem to have large integrity. The price that we paid before was very reasonable compared to whatever we wanted to pay. We would definitely use their services in the future too.

We had Golden Valley Heating and A.C. replace a 24 year old furnace and AC unit - which they had previously installed! That itself is a testament to the quality of their work. Not only did they replace the units but then we had them move the furnace from a room in the basement on one end of the house to the storage room in the middle of the basement. This was for two reason. To clean up the mass of returns and supplies coming from that end of the house (original to the house - 1916 - not the work of GV Heating and AC). You had to duck your head to enter the basement as it was right at the bottom of the stairs! And, moving it also served to more evenly heat the house. The room on the opposite corner of the house used to be freezing all winter (and hot all summer). THEN we had them add 4 new supplies and 1 return upstairs and 4 new supplies and one return downstairs. This greatly improved our air flow. Brian was great in supplying us with the plan and the bid - which it took us one year from the original bid to us getting the work done. We aren't very good at getting things done fast. Brian was very patient throughout the entire process. Jared and his group then were wonderful - they did all the work. Each morning we would meet with Jared and go over the previous days work and what they were hoping to get done that day. Prompt, professional, amazing. The basement looks great. Then on top of all that Sean came out and cleaned out our remaining old ducts. The mechanical and electrical inspectors, when asked who did the work, both said "they do great work". We did get other bids just to be fair. Their bid was the most fairly priced and their installation plan was the best. Brian, Jared and the whole group are excellent problems solvers and know what they are doing. I have no hesitations recommending this company.

The problem turned out to be a blown start-up capacitor. A $30 part that failed in the sixth year of use (with a five year warranty, naturally). What irked me was the labor charge. A $99 "trip charge" plus $25 per hour. This repair took all of fifteen minutes, and cost $150. The tech commented a lot of these capacitors have been failing this year (hmmm, shoddy product?). I imagine a lot of these repair jobs are handled quickly and easily, as this one. So having to pony up $125 for the first 15 minutes of "work" is a pretty good deal for them - not so much for the customer. As I said, I've worked with this contractor before and am generally satisfied with their work, but $100/hour is too steep and the fact that THEIR product failed a mere one year out of warranty is disappointing. Next time, I'll call around for competitive quotes and labor rates before assuming GV H&A is going to provide the best deal.

The installers did a fantastic job, completely professional. The process was smooth and very easy. The job was very well managed and I would highly recommend these guys.

Everyone was very friendly and did a nice job. I had a discount and they were able to honor and make changes on the invoice without any problems.

Called Monday morning about our broken A/C. They said they would be out between 10-12, showed up at 11:00. Very friendly. Identified the problem within 15 minutes (an earwig had shorted out the relay.) Clearly explained what had happened, showing us the bad relay with a fried earwig in it, and explained how to avoid problem in the future. Thoroughly checked A/C for other problems before leaving. As always, Prompt, professional and friendly service
