I trust this company. They've been reliable and they are always on time. I've been with this company for years.

I found them to be exactly like they were rated on Angie's List. They were professional, prompt, and easy to work with. The price was competitive.

He arrived when he said he would. He was pleasant and courteous. He went right to work and got the job done quickly. He filled out the form that the city inspector needed. He explained what kind of filter was best for the furnace and showed me where it went and how it went in. He drew a picture on the furnace for the renters so they would do it right. He emailed me the receipt.

The repair took less than an hour. He replaced a part, and got the air conditioner running without recommending that I replace the entire unit - which I appreciated!

Overall well. I would use them again. There was some small amount of drama when the furnace was not working correctly at first, but they took care of it. Workers could have been a little more friendly and more willing to explain what they were doing (to get an A in professionalism), but were overall professional. Water heater sub contractor was from Kals Plumbing (his name was Dale). This guy was awesome: very courteous, very helpful in taking time to explain what he was doing and very knowledgable.

We had a fantastic experience with GV Heating and Air. They were honest and upfront about the products that would best serve our home. When we had additional questions about the estimate, our calls were returned within the hour. They were able to move up our installation date, which proved to be a lifesaver as we had 90* weather later that week. Installers were professional, efficient, and tidy! They were patient in taking time to explain the new system and our new thermostat. Professional, timely, and efficient. I would highly recommend them!

They showed up on time, were polite and business like. He did a great job with the repair. He also gave me tips for other things that I may need to fix, but could do myself. Very pleased with his service! Would do business again!

Good people, finished all work with no mess left behind, Very fair price. Just one small thing - they did not put any label on my new furnace with the time and date of install. This is important at sale time of my condo.

The two GVHA employees who did the installation were very professional and efficient and personable. Old furnace removal and essential installation of the new furnace took one day, so we had heat that evening (November installation). The staff adapted the installation nicely to meet building code requirements and work with the idiosycracies of a 100 year old house. The second day involved hauling away the old furnace and humidifier. All GVHA staff (e.g., sales rep, office staff, etc.) were accommodating for a quick installation and were pleasant to work with. One year has passed since installation, and the furnace works great. It has cut our heating bill about 40 percent.

The quote was $7,000. We need to get back to them on a humidifier. They are very professional and very personable. It's a family owned company, but they make sure that their employees are well cared for. They give their employees leeway to do the job right. It is mostly the owners that come out with the estimates. If they expect something that the installer doesn’t like the way it was specked, the installer has the leeway to do it the way they feel it should be done. We have had installers in, and they have done the spring check-up. I have not met one person from that company that I haven’t felt totally comfortable having in my home. I would honestly feel comfortable giving them the key and walking away; I feel that comfortable with them. For other reasons I like to be there, because I want to know what's going on mechanically. Anything that I can do to watch my equipment; they teach me.

Everything went quite smoothly. Entirely professional operation from the initial call through the instalation process. Workman was punctual, friendly and even willingly answered HVAC questions unrelated to the product. He was very careful in his work and cleaned up thoroughly

This summer I had GVH&A come out to put in a new air exchange in our basement. They have been taking care of our furnace and A/C for years. This month we decided to redo our vinyl kitchen floor with hardwood. The installer mentioned that the correct humidity level was important for maintaining the floor. Although there is an Aprilaire humidifier attached to the furnace, I didn't know if it was working, how to test it or set it, etc. I called GVH&A and asked them to send a service man over to check it out and school me. Instead, the man I spoke to said he could lead me through it by phone. He spent 15 minutes with me (time included me asking some very dumb questions). He wad kind, informative, and so successful that later that day I was able to teach my husband how it worked. I was very impressed they passed up some very easy money.

I called Golden Valley Heating, whom I have used previously, after Centerpoint Energy Service Plus told us that the parts were no available for our old furnace and we needed a new furnace. GVH thought a repair might be possible and I agreed to a repair on a time and materials basis. Phil, the senior tech, did the work. He located the parts, picked them up, checked out the heat exchanger and tested for CO. He had everything wrapped up in 3 hours. Phil was a total pro, even though replacing the rubber mounts for our double blower unit was dirty and awkward. GVH are and remain my go to heating company.

I had recently moved into a new house. I wanted to have the furnace checked before winter. i had questions regarding an air to air exchanger and humidifier. I scheduled an appointment. The service technician was very good about explaining everything to me. The bill was just what they had told me it would be.

We have used them for years. We have had them out for annual service and inspections for quite a number of years now and are extremely pleased with them. They go above and beyond. They pay their people a fair wage, and the people reflect how they are treated. We have had very polite people out; very knowledgeable people, and they are very concerned about doing the job right the first time. Their pricing is extremely fair. We have been using them and will continue to do so.

They gave us a really good deal and we received a local rebate from the city. They were the only company that even informed us about the possible rebate. They are a local company and have been here for a long time. They are very honest and had the best price out of four different estimates. They got the work done in about half a day, and we have no complaints. It worked great all summer.

Great experience- both John and Tim were very professional and caring about my needs. They worked in 90+ degree heat and had us up and working with a much more efficient unit within 4 hours.I received a bid in April but waited until late June to accept the bid and set up the installation. They knew I was hosted a family reunion soon and made sure it was done in time.Brian, one of the owners, came and provided the bid. He noticed a vent pipe that was not extended out of the house when I had the furnace replaced by another company and offered to fix that. He also gave me a bid to upgrade to a 2 zone system as my venting was already in place and the house was never cool in the upstairs bedrooms. The upstairs bedrooms are now cool and can be controlled by the kids/guests!! They have their our thermostat controller (placed out of reach of future grandchildren) and the vents are electronically controlled- no more opening and closing manually.Out of the 3 bids I received theirs came back as the lowest and most thorough. I appreciated the no pressure sales and also the advice to upgrade to 2 zones- that is what also sold me on Golden Valley Heating and Air. Brian knew his product and what my house needed! John and Tim also notified us that they would put the exhaust pipe out on the side of the house away from the dryer vent so the fabric softener smell wouldn't come back in- a small detail with a huge payoff that could have been easily missed.They also offer a 5 year warranty on parts and labor-----------------

I called Thursday morning and asked to have someone come to the house to check our unit. It has been hot the past couple of days, so I was not surprised when the man I spoke with gave me an appointment for the next day at 8:00 a.m. There is no one at our house that would suffer unnecessarily by one day of higher temps, so that was fine by me. The man was in the middle of answering phone call after phone call, so I hung up and called back later in the day to discuss rates with a woman in the office when there wasn't so much phone traffic. Tom arrived the next day just after 7:50. He got to work right away and had the problem diagnosed within about 15 minutes. After cleaning the unit he added the freon. He was very professional and knowledgeable and efficient. He was done and gone by 7:40. I'd like to have paid less, of course, but the total didn't seem out of line to me. UPDATE: The freon was needed, but it was not the whole solution. The vents were blowing cool air, but it was very weak. The A/C struggled to keep 79 degrees. I called Golden Valley back Monday and Tom came out again. He found there was a lot of dog/cat fur coated on the bottom of the condenser coils. How it got past the filter is a mystery, but he cleaned off the coils. This improved the air flow. There was no trip charge for the extra visit. I paid $100 for the time it took to continue the problem solving/solution. I am now sitting in 76 degrees and quite comfortable.

Our very old (25+ years?) A/C system was not working (started showing problems last year), so I called G.V. Heating for an estimate ( I used them 5 months ago to re-do some ductwork for a basement renovation). A man came out on very short order (can't remember the lead time) and he was very thorough in explaining what was needed to re-charge the old v. installing a new system. He inspected the line set thoroughly and called in the description to the office. The office called back within minutes with a price. The did a fantastic job replacing the old A/C coils with new - installed and properly sealed a new panel where the line set enters/exits the coil plenum. No air leaks! The condenser/heat exchanger unit outside looks great , too. The system is VERY efficient and works so much better than the old system ever did! The service men were very careful with the new carpet in our basement, and there were no scratches or dents to the new woodwork in the doorway to the furnace closet. They cleaned up very well and left nothing behind!

I was so pleased at how the job went. John and Tim arrived on time and went right to work removing the old furnace and air conditioner. They could not have been more professional or likeable. I was very comfortable having them in my home. I expressed a concern that my husband had with where the the furnace would be vented to the outside. Jon assured me that they would do the work as if they were doing it in their own home. That is exactly what they did. We were more than happy with the job that was completed on time. Great Company!

We will not be using them again, nor will our complex. They were horrible. They refused to back up their product. The owner of the company was really nasty. They were rude. We were basically heating the deck. They didn't stand behind their work. We had always used them before and had been happy with them. I wouldn't recommend them because if it is not convenient for them, they will rip people off. They were efficient but they did it wrong. The price was good but with what we lost in heating, it wasn't good. They used to be nice but they have gotten arrogant.

The service call went smoothly. I called shortly after 8:AM on a Monday morning and was placed in the service queue. The service man arrived shortly before 11 AM. He performed all the necessary repairs, using parts available from his truck, performed the overall heating and air conditioning system inspection, and was finished in an hour and a half.

They were phenomenal. I got them on a referral from somebody else who had used them and I did really love them too. They were punctual, prompt, and finished sooner than they said they would. They worked very quietly and conscientiously. They did an excellent job installing and explaining it, because it was a fancy thermostat. They did a super job cleaning up after they finished; it was cleaner than when they had come. I shopped around a couple of other places and I thought their price was very good. I actually called them back to get my ducts and vents cleaned and the kid that they sent out was amazing too.

My mother was coming for the holiday and she asked me about running the oil heaters in the room so she would not be cold. Well, being the good daughter I am, I called GVH for help. I have had 2 other projects with them and loved the service I had gotten in the past. On 12/21 I called GVH to see how quickly they could get a vent into my unheated dining room. The date was set for 12/23 to get this work done. I was completely impressed. The staff showed up on time and immediately some issues. He informed me that the current run would not provide enough heat for the space so a new connection would need to be made. Since they installed my furnace and AC I knew he knew what he was doing. After that he informed me that I had not one but several headers where the addition was added on and that he could not do what we originally discussed. We found that we needed to access a sealed off crawl space. Together we quickly worked to open the space and in no time he had the new line connected. My mother came the next day and was very pleased with how warm the space was.

Their prices are good and I will continue to use them. They are professional. They are excellent and I will continue to refer them.
