He was professional, quick and efficient. He arrived within promised time period, but apologized for not being earlier. He explained that woman at previous stop had asked for her furnace to be checked, but did not mention that she had two furnaces and both needed lots of work.

Steve arrived within the scheduled two hour window. He checked out and serviced both the furnace and the air conditioner. There was no hard sell to buy any additional services or products and the final bill was exactly as quoted. Steve was courteous and respectful; he answered all my questions in a way that was easy for me to understand (not too much lingo).

Barb stopped by the house to check on what we were interested in and work with us on making a selection. She was wonderful to talk with, unpretentious, very thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly. We did not use GV for the project because the cost of the work would have been higher ($10,000).

Barb arrived to give me an estimate and they were not the low bid, but they did have a good rating and they were local. I agreed and a time was set for the install. Jarrod and his assistant arrived on time, laid down tarps and worked hard all day. We had AC after the first day and they came back the next morning to finish up and clean the work site. I was impressed at the smoothness of their skills and their ease at working in an existing home situation. It seemed that they not only knew their jobs well they enjoyed what they were doing. Their work ethic was excellent and I see this system saving us money as well as keeping us cool, dry or warm as the season dictates.

I called several companies on Angie's list and this one quoted the best price (by about $40). I made an appointment for about two weeks out. Dennis called the day before to ask if we could reschedule since a heat wave hit and they were swamped with service calls. I was fine with that since my AC was working. We rescheduled for two weeks out again and he called the day before to confirm. The technician arrived within the scheduled window and was also finished within the window. He put booties on when he came in and found a cracked inducer motor housing. He also wrapped a pipe that was missing insulation for no extra charge. I would have used them to fix the housing except that I have a home warranty and have to use a specific company for the claim.

Amazing. The staff were great. Scott, owner/sales was amazing. The company covered the anticipated rebate from Xcel Energy with the request that in the event Xcel actually fulfills the rebate, that I repay the company. I am amazed at their trust of me in the process. This company was great! Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Arrived promptly, found the problem quickly and fixed at a reasonable price. Delight to work with.

Everything went well, the first crew showed up the first day 1/2 hour early, but that was fine, there was one small glitch that was resolved as soon as I called on scheduling. I took off Thursday and Fro from work and the first crew didn't work Friday, and said they would be back Monday, and I called the office and told them that wouldn't work, and they sent a different crew out on Friday. SO far everything seems to be working fine, both groups were polite and there were no hidden costs which is what I wanted.

I got several bids for the job. Brian was the most informative and professional by far. The price was fair. The work went very well. The installers showed up around 8, were personable and had the job done by about 2pm. The two returns in the basement made a huge difference to the comfort in the finished area. Also, the A/C was great last summer for the rest of the house. An incredible improvement over the previous summer! I was worried that the old ductwork wouldn't circulate the cool air to the upstairs effectively. But it turned out better than I expected. Only gripe was a little confusion over the Angie's List coupon. The wording was ambiguous and I thought it gave me a bigger discount than it did.

The did initial installation on 12/12/06 but after City of Blaine inspected, there were some issues. Blaine inspector was to contact GV; he did not. I called in January and again in Feb. Late Feb. they came out and took care of inspection issues. They were prompt, courteous, and helpful in programming new thermostat. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a good heating/AC contractor. Thank you.

I chose GV because of their great reviews on the List, and because they were relatively close to my home. The appointment was for 8 a.m. and, the night before, we got about 18 inches of snow. All the schools and many companies closed - I wasn't sure whether he would show up. But there he was, wading through knee-deep snow to get to my door. What a trooper! And he was extremely polite when it turned out that the humidifier wasn't working right because I hadn't turned one of the valves. All that snow-trudging for nothing! I am very impressed with their professionalism and reliability. I will always call them.

My son's less than two year old furnace had shut down two times due to an out of range temperature condition. Two visits by the original installer failed to correct the problem. The first visit blamed the furnace filter, the second visit blamed low air flow from the return duct and a 3 inch by 5 inch hole was cut in the return air duct next to the furnace. GV Heating and A/C does not install this particular brand of furnace but agreed to make a service call. The service person quickly identified the problem as a dirty temperature sensor in the furnace which was signaling the burner to turn off. He removed the sensor, cleaned it and reinstalled it. He also showed my son how to clean the sensor himself in case the failure reappeared.

Very positive experience. They came within a few days of being called and arrived at exactly the time they said they would. Our only complaint is that they said they would call first and didn't. They just showed up. We'll definitely use them again.

He was very nice and helpful. He explained the problem and did the work as needed. I was very pleased and the cost was less than expected.

They did a fine job and at a great price. The installation was nice and clean, completed quickly, and the new furnace works great.

Brian, the current president, came out to do the bid. He was friendly and efficient and looked around more than the other guys to collect info before making his bid, which was also the lowest by $200. He was also able to install the furnace the next day. His guys were supposed to come between 7:30-8am, and they arrived at just after 7am, which was a little off-putting, but not a big deal. They were friendly, seemed knowledgeable, and completed the work quickly. I realized the old furnace was on the wrong apt's breaker box, and they switched it over for free as part of the install. I'll use these guys again.

They scheduled out 5 days for a furnace back-draft issue. When he did arrive late, they did not call on the way as I had requested so we missed each other. They called back an hour later to say that he tried to call when he got to the house. I told this person that I didn't live there and needed at least 15 minutes notice to get there. 2 hours later, the tech called to say he was at the house and was upset that he had to wait 15 minutes for me to get there. He had a good solution but started making modifications to the furnace without consulting with me first. I had also left a request through their website in October for an estimate on replacing the furnace and never received a call.

Brian sold the job and was very competitive with his pricing ($5,000 less than two other reputable contractors). He was very responsive to my clarifying questions when I got a vague bid. They put several workers on the job and had it completed in less than a week. There was only one night without a functioning furnace (in December). The removal by Aardvark, their subcontractor, was thorough and the ducting was laid out as I had discussed with Brian. The crew even anticipated new water heaters being installed in the future, and provided the gas lines and space for a simple future installation. I was impressed by their experience, professionalism, and craftsmanship. The inspectors even commented on a very tidy job. I will use them for my own home when we need a new furnace.

Work was done in a timely and professional manner.

THE TECHNICIAN SHOWED UP WITHIN A FEW MINUTES OF THE APPOINTMENT. HE COMPLETED THE PROJECT WITHIN THE TIME EXPECTED. THERE WAS A BROKEN COVER ON THE HUMIDIFIER. HE NOTED IT AND WILL ORDER A NEW ONE FOR ME. I'VE USED THIS COMPANY FOR YEARS AT 2 DIFFERENT HOMES. I'VE ALWAYS BEEN PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AND WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS WENT VERY SMOOTH. I CALLED THEM AND THEY ANSWERED THE PHONE RIGHT AWAY. THEY SET UP THE APPOINTMENT AND THE REPAIRMAN ARRIVED WITHIN THE FIRST 15 MINUTES OF THE SCHEDULED TIME. HE QUICKLY DIAGNOSED THE ISSUE, HAD THE PARTS AVAILABLE, AND HAD EVERYTHING UP AND RUNNING IN ABOUT AN HOUR.

DUE TO A WARRANTY ISSUE, WE WERE ABLE TO GET TWO 'FREE' FURNACES BY PAYING INSTALLATION COSTS. WHILE WE WERE AT IT, WE HAD THEM INSTALL HIGH QUALITY HUMIDIFIERS, AND THEY ALSO FIXED SOME WIRING PROBLEMS TO THE THERMOSTATS THAT HAD BEEN THERE FOR A WHILE. THEY WERE GREAT AT HELPING US FIGURE OUT THE OPTIONS GIVEN OUR NEED TO FIX A NON-COMPLIANCE PROBLEM BEFORE WE CLOSED ON OUR HOUSE. THE WORKERS WERE CAREFUL WITH THE REST OF OUR HOUSE AND DID A FINE JOB.

THE GENTLEMEN THAT INSTALLED WERE WONDERFUL. THEY WERE VERY POLITE AND ACUTALLY ARRIVED EARLY - I MADE IT TO WORK ON TIME!! IF I HAD NOT NOTICED THE NEW FURNACE - I WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN THEY WERE THERE - EVERYTHING WAS VERY NEAT AND TIDY.

THE SALESMAN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ON-TIME. I APPRECIATED THAT HE WAS TRUTHFUL ABOUT THE FACT THAT OUR HEATER WAS STILL IN GOOD CONDITION. HE HAD A SPECIFIC IDEA OF WHAT A/C UNIT WOULD BE GOOD FOR OUR NEEDS AND FOR THE SIZE OF OUR HOME. WITHIN TWO WEEKS, INSTALLERS CAME TO PUT IN THE UNIT. THEY WERE ALL VERY PUNCTUAL. THE INSTALLERS WERE COURTEOUS AND CLEAN. THE PRICE WAS ACTUALLY LOW, COMPARED TO OTHER PLACES I HAD CHECKED INTO. THIS COMPANY RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY TO THE MESSAGE I HAD LEFT. OTHER COMPANIES RESPONDED THREE OR FOUR DAYS LATER. WHEN I MET WITH THE SALESMAN AT MY HOME, I HAD JUST GOTTEN A RETURN CALL FROM A COMPANY THAT I HAD CALLED ON THE EXACT SAME DAY I HAD MY FIRST CONTACT WITH GOLDEN VALLEY HEATING AND AIR. THEY ALSO DID ALL THE WORK IN HELPING ME TO GET MY REBATE FOR INSTALLING A HIGH SEER UNIT.
